Spider-Woman's New Look

Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) is getting a new look designed by artist Kris Anka

First Appearance will be as a playable character in the mobile game Spider-Man Unlimited

Then it will make its comic debut in March's Spider-Woman #5, which will also feature a "design variant" cover by Anka.

I can't help but think they're cashing in on the Batgirl redesign. I'm not sure it fits her character but I'll wait until I see more pics until I give an opinion.

Just noticed the lack of boob size. I don't care she lost her bust but I thought it was funny they thought it necessary to make the effort to change.

Just like making Felicia Hardy into a Catwoman crime boss.

Ya what is with that? They took thieves who generally only stole from the rich and compared to the other villains isn't so bad then turned them into crime bosses who kill and do other worse things.

Marvel has provided Robot 6 with an exclusive preview of Spider-Woman #5 by Dennis Hopeless and Javier Rodriguez. The issue – the first after the conclusion of Spider-Verse – marks the debut of a new costume for Jessica Drew. Designed by Kris Anka, the new costume was announced in December and is the first time the character’s look has dramatically shifted since her first appearance, and according to Marvel, it has a lot to do with how Spider-Verse concludes.

“Jess comes out of this event with a very different point of view on herself and her place in the world,” Marvel editor Nick Lowe told CBR in December. “[The costume] represents a big change for her moving forward.”

I loved her old costume. It was iconic in its own way. Besides I feel the street clothes for a costume has been way overdone now. It reeks of laziness now. I want Superheroes to look like Superheroes.
