was the superior spider-man storyline good for spider-man as a character or not. I say not..
superior spider-man good for spidey or not
@amazingspiderman15: was it necessary? maybe not. is it going to provide for amazing new stories to come? i for one think so. I think its best to save judgement to see exactly how his return will play out before we say superior wasnt good for Peter as a character.
No. Maybe we'll get something better after this but I'm not going to get my hopes up. I found superior to be highly overated. But that's just me.
I think it will provide some interesting stories based on the fallout.

Overrated? You're aware that like 80% of Spider-man fans hated the Superior run right? it wasn't overrated at all lol.
@strider92: Maybe on comicvine but other websites such as CBR actually wanted it to go on longer. Even if we're just talking about the vine there are people who clearly enjoyed it.
"Necessary"? Yeah.
All comics need stories to lead up to the next story to lead up to the next story and so on.
Yes. It changes it up, which is never a bad thing, since it's inevitably going to go back to normal anyway.

I disagree. It hardly seemed necessary.

I disagree with your disagreement.
It hardly seemed necessary to you cause you do not see the BIGGER PICTURE!!!!!
agree to disagree.
I disagree with that statement.
@jasonhawke: Not all stories or comic books need to have a point of where one can still continue a story. Every thing has to have an ending. Sometimes a continuation of a series could just ruin everything. There are cases where you could and shouldn't continue something.
Wait was that a joke? because if so I don't get it.
Then get a sense of humor.
:P
Was it pointless yes. Did the story assassinate Spider-man's heroic personality yes, was everyone written as DC civilian not to question the odd behavior shift yes, to answer your question no it was not. I would say it was OMD and Clone Saga bad.
I agree. Though I understand why it could have been interesting to explore a story like this, there have been 2 things that I didnt' like (SpOck killing Massacre and Smythe...and the hesitation saving the little girl that needed brain surgery). For those 2 things IMO the story did in fact slightly assassinate Spider-man's heroic personality...the second more than the first. But yeah, now Peter's back, so we'll see...
..will be interesting to see what sales of the Amazing Spiderman settle down to after the mammoth rush for Issue 2. The last issue of Superior only sold bout 76,000 which is pretty rubbish. Superman unchained sold 94,000 the same month and people keep telling me Superman isn't as popular any more...!
superior was crap and pete should stay dead and so should doc ock as they are both pieces of bullshit
in your opinion

I'm in that 80 percent, yet in every forum I go everyone praises it...If the majority of the fans hate it, it certainly doesn't seem like it...
