Brian Tee Cast as Shredder in TMNT 2

Looks like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel has found its Shredder. According the Variety, Brian Tee has been cast as the turtle villain in TMNT 2, which is due to hit theaters in 2016.

Tee will be joining Megan Fox, playing April O'Neil, Will Arnett, playing Verns Fenwick, Stephan Amell, playing Casey Jones, and Tyler Perry, playing Baxter Stockman. David Green will be directing the film, which was written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec. Michael Bay will return to produce.

This isn't Tee's first venture into a comic book movie though. In 2013, he played Noburu in The Wolverine and he was also on an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Let's also not forget he played Liu Kang on the series Mortal Kombat: Legacy.

Tee will making some turtle soup in TMNT 2 on June 3, 2016.

Was hoping for a after credit scene where we see the true shredder and foot ninja in Japan learning the operatives in america failed including the fake shredder who was this true shredders pupil

Guess this answers the Shredder vs. Wolverine question early. :)

I really hope he is more Ninja this time and not a guy in a suit, sure breaking someone's hands with your chin is impressive but does not scream Shredder! Also Krang, give us Krang and him bantering.

I hope they give these characters more time to shine in TMNT 2 , that was one of the major problems with the first one was we never got to know the turtles it seemed like it jumped from one action scene to another.

I will watch this only if his name refers to what he does to tires whilst drifting his Nissan.

Still don't understand why they are making a sequel. Well I do: money. The only reason it made enough money to warrant a sequel is because no one knew it was a big poopstain when they went to see it. But now a lot of people will probably not see the second one because the first one sucked.

The first movie was not that very good. It was silly and annoying. Not to mention, the turtles. Ugh...

IKR...I don't think remember them being 6 feet tall. Although, a small part of me kinda wish Taylor Kitsch would've been Casey Jones (don't judge me) instead of Amell but I'll settle for Brian Tee becoming Shredder, which is a good choice.

I thought Shredder was in the first TMNT. Shows how memorable that movie was.

I don't mind the turtle size. It's the ooze that increased their mutation, which probably explains why they're 6 feet tall.

You're right. I can totally see Taylor as Casey Jones. He has that Elias Koteas look with his hockey mask face on, but I think Amell will nail the part since he's already playing the vigilante, Arrow. I can't judge on it fully until I see his performance.

I don't know about Brian Tee taking place as Oruku Saki/Shredder. I thought the first actor did well. I wonder why he didn't get the sequel part.
