I've never read anything with him in it but I want to. And I want to learn more about him. So let's talk about him :)

Read his mini series from 2000 then stop. Brian Michael Bendis made him a bad character after that.

He's pretty powerful in his mini series even though his full abilities aren't completely explored.

they have ALOT of scans and feats in this one, so you could learn a very hefty amount. but if you really want a personal approach, you can ask someone like Killemail or Enzeru and i'm sure they answer any questions you have. they're really nice people and they have VAST knowledge on sentry.

Very few heroes are more powerful or can stalemate him

Sentry, Blue Marvel and The Hulk are pretty much the most powerful people in the Marvel universe

@kgb725: not just that, but the Void IS undefeated so far (Except by Sentry).

I really wish he would join The Annihilators. He Would fit in so perfectly into that team, they're around his power level and if he voided out, they should be able to restrain him. Also he wouldn't have to suffer from the PIS of being an earth hero when he's clearly above earth level.

like i said, Enzeru has a VAST knowledge on The Sentry and you can ask questions in the FAQ itself and he'll most likely reply to it. You might also want to check out the other installments of his FAQ, he links them all at the beginning of each.

his power also depends on his state of mind. Void said this. When he is confident or lets void have control he is basically a god. When he is in his drugged out cry baby mode he can get knocked around. When he tries to kill himself but deep down doesn't actually want to die he won't it won't work. he flew to the core of the sun, had his head blown off his neck snapped by thor and so on and he didn't die, yet when he finally did die it was by something ridiculous, plus he was begging them to kill him so who knows how that works.

to add on to that i think his actual strength starts showing during dark avengers, especially the molecule man issues...and then finally siege

He didn't use all his abilities.. Sentry's the type of character who can throw 1000's of punches in seconds.. Ppl get mad when characters don't use their powers to the fullest all the time.. So they call PIS.. Sentry fought Hulk all out with energy and brawling.. He stated many times he was going all out just so he could feel what it's like to fight someone who could take the beating ! He and Hulk stalemated and reverted to their Human forms... Turns out Hulk was holding back when he fought sentry.. Also turns out Sentry became way more powerful, or just learned how to use his powers more effectively also !

he is pretty much like the hulk, depends on his mentality and what not for him to be effective, but when hes shown beating super ridiculous crazy strong people call PIS, and it's because they don't take into consideration what mental state is in control at the moment. There was a time when Sentry/Void broke Hulks arms,and made him cry in fear, even though hulk isn't afraid of anything (like in wwh) there are other times where hercules could kick him in the balls and make him look like a fool, because he was in his calm, boyscout mental state, and then there is osborns lacky thug state, angry state, cry baby state, void state,..so on and so on.

Yes man ! I really wish characters like Hulk, Thor, and Sentry would leave Earth and fight intergalactic threats ! They're subjected to way to much PIS to make them fit on Earth ! Realistically.. They could handle all Villian issues with ease ! Glad Sentry is back too.. Need to read Uncanny Avengers to see what they're doing with him, and if he's here to stay !

@imnemothegemini: how did he come back ? Thor suffers from goku syndrome he keeps his opponent in the fight too long and they surprise him because he holds back. Hulk should gain cosmic abilities lol

Hulk doesn't need cosmic powers.. He's already theoretically indestructible.. And when he stops Holding back.. His World Breaker is far and above just about anything any other top tier character has done in the way of pure strength !

thing about all those characters though is they are written in a way where their power either depends on their mental state, someone else can take it away from them, or they get a power up only to lose it later on. It's not like they ever stick with their super pimped out mode. When i see hulk in world breaker form it's like whoa, but then months later when he is fighting a gamma monkey and shark and it ends with something like..."to be continued" as if they are supposed to be a real threat to him I just shake my head.

Sorry man.. But you're way off. Professor is stronger than Joe.. But massively weaker than Savage Hulk.. In most instances.. Professor dosesnt amp at all.. He actually becomes weaker when enraged.. At one point, if banner got to angry as professor Hulk, he'd become "Savage Banner" (freaking awesome), If it were Savage Hulj who got all his bones broken, they would have healed instantly.. Professor Hulk walked around with a broken leg literally for days... Once he reverted back to Savage Hulk his leg healed instantly !

Sentry is a beast! Always liked him since Breakout. I just like Supermen who don't hold back as much.

It shows me how Dangerous Clark is, without Superman actually doing the evil Deeds himself. Also he just looks cool! Like a Thor/Torch/Superman Hybrid. Three extremely powerful characters in one. Dude is crazy.

There is only suppose to be one long haired bloned on marvel earth!...and that's Thor! Lol, I joke, he's pretty cool.
