MARVEL ZOMBIES Coming to BATTLEWORLD

This June, a lone soldier ventures deep into unknown territory on a mission of personal discovery – and of blood-soaked survival! Today, Marvel is pleased to announce MARVEL ZOMBIES #1 – a brand-new Secret Wars series from writer Simon Spurrier (X-Force, X-Men: Legacy) and artist Kev Walker (New Avengers, Avengers Arena)!

She is Elsa Bloodstone, one of the fiercest monster-hunters Battleworld has ever seen. Burdened with the task of keeping the zombie hordes to the south from rampaging through Battleworld, she patrols the borders from high atop the Shield. Day in and day out she fights and claws to keep the world safe, knowing that setting one foot into that hellish landscape means certain death. That is, until she spots a human girl among the corpses.

Knowing what untold horrors await her on the other side, she flings herself into the shambling hordes. But once she’s in, she’ll have to fight her way out…

From my understanding they arent tie ins... they are offical new comics that just happen to take place in that world.

Really disappointed to see that this is where Si Spurrier is landing after X-Force. He's an incredible writer, but maaaan, nothing is gonna get me to buy a dang Marvel Zombies book. No thanks.

From my understanding, these aren't tie-ins per say. Most of the current titles are either ending or taking a break in place of these mini series.

Looks good, another SW title I'll be picking up!

isnt this suppose to be marvel across the board? like no other book is out from marvel other than this event?

We've been seeing more and more Elsa Bloodstone. It wouldn't surprise me if she is being groomed to eventually have a TV show or movie since marvel hasn't come out with any movies in the horror genre and marvel studios just makes genre picks at this point.

Sadly, we haven't even reached the end of it yet! The event still is months away. I wouldn't be surprised if the final number of Secret Wars-related series will be double the number of what has already been announced, as of now.

This is getting expensive.

Another interesting one... how many More titles can they release for this event? Geez
