Rising of the Dawn
The location was Washington DC, as the crowds gathered and the camera crew set up their equipment. Whispers of today's events soon turned into a choir of conversation about many happenings that he befell the world recently. The needless destruction of so many cities, and the lack of true heroes. Individuals such as Andferne, Nighthunter & Obi Wan Kenobi, were now distant memories of an age many believed would never return, an age of freedom, a sense of moral justice, a world were people could feel safe, and not live in the shadow of constant fear, that had been brought fourth by constant needless battles and the individuals quest for power. Innocents without voices were nothing more than sacrificial pawns in the games of those who held even a small portion of power. As they spoke, a young man stepped onto a small wooden box, his golden hair matched the shining sun, as the will of Adam radiated a charismatic energy from his body.
The people muttered in confusion, not knowing who this man was or his purpose on this day, and yet they were drawn to him. He did not need to speak in order for their words to become calm and silent. A few moments passed, in that time he casually took a sip of fresh water and ran his words through his mind. He was once a small time hero, stepping onto the grand stage was taking getting some used to.
"Ladies and gentleman of Washington, and to those of you around the world. Some of you may know who I am, and many of you will not, and may not even care. My name is Felix Kaal Holloway and like all of you I am a human being, and yet I am also an alien from another world. My mother raised me with strong moral values, she taught me right from wrong, that justice should never give way for revenge. She was a kind, caring woman and a true hero. Hero that concept, that symbol seems to have been lost. As I look out at you all, that word brings no reaction, no sense of saviour from world destruction or rebirth under a new Emperor. That word once brought hope, and now even hope has been lost on many of you, and for that I am deeply sorry. I am sorry that so many of you have lost loved ones and not one person has done a damn thing about it. I am sorry that for so long you have been treated as nothing more than lambs to a slaughter, caught between constant wars of pointless pride. I am sorry for so many things. And because you all deserve a voice, a guardian and a reason to hope once more. I personally will do everything in my power to right all the wrongs brought upon you, and help bring closure. Heroes around the world, I ask you from the bottom of my heart to join my cause, not for me, or for pride or to fight wars against villains and empires, but to help the people who truly deserve it. My first act of business will be to set up various charities to help the families who have lost so much. Ladies and gentleman I will bring that symbol of hope and peace back you all. That is all.
As he stepped from the box, not one single person clapped. They remained silent, and so they should. They had seen many and had been presented with false hope on many occasions. The trust of the people would need to be earned, through actions as well as words. He took up to the sky and flew to an unknown location in the city. He headed underground, and entered a small base. It was basic, and that was the point. This would be something that he would build from the ground up. He would never give in, and would show the people that heroes still lived in this world.
