The Fulminata

In the time of Rome, the twelfth legion under Gaius Julius Caesar was the most powerful force of it's time. Having never faced defeat in battle, The Fulminata went on to conquer much of the known world for the glory of the Empire. It was disbanded after the fall of Caesar due to it's large numbers and fear that the loyalty to Julius would eventually lead the twelfth legion to rebelling against the new governing body. For centuries, remnants of the forces met in secret, operating as a secret military under their original leadership.

The Fulminata have now come out of hiding and aim to recover their original strength to build a new Roman empire.

The Fulminata operate out of the Pantheon building in Rome, beneath the building's foundations and in a secret chamber that was designed by the Marcus Agrippa, the statesman and general who had created the Pantheon building.

Rules:

1. Everyone is free to come and go as they please. Only team members are allowed to fight within the Fulminata's Chamber.
2. The Twelfth Legion is always recruiting. To join, send a pm to either the team or Elusivestorm.

Proelio smirked. "The Twelfth Legion? They spread my father's message to the furthest reaches of the world in the past. Perhaps they still have that spirit, we shall see."

@The_Roman: Marcus returned Proelio's smile. "Maybe for your father's message to be spread out to the corners of the world once more, you could join us."

@ElusiveStorm: "Perhaps, mortal...Whom do I have the honour of addressing, perchance? I be Proelio, son of Mars."

@The_Roman: "Mortal? You must have me mistaken for some one else." He paused, letting out a light chuckle. "I am Marcus Aelius, The son of Jupiter, commander of the Fulminata for nearly two thousand years."

@ElusiveStorm: "Uncle Marcus? You've changed so much!" Proelio cried, shocked. "Tis I, brother of Deimos and Phobos! Mars' boy!"

@The_Roman: Marcus took a step back, realizing that he was talking to his nephew. "God's above! Proelio!" He placed his hands on the fellow immortal's shoulders. "It has been too long nephew."

I always thought Canine and Mattersuit were the same dude :O

@ElusiveStorm:"Indeed it has. I didn't know you were walking the Earth, I assumed you'd gone back to the other gods." Proelio's eyes began to water, tears of joy working their way down his face.

@The_Roman: "No, Proelio. I have been amongst the mortals since the death of Christ."

@ElusiveStorm:"I heard that, dearest uncle, but then you just sort of disappeared. I had no idea what had happened to you."

@ElusiveStorm: You flatter me.

@The_Roman: "A test from my father, he sent me into exile. I cannot say where." The grim look that took Marcus's face was enough to let Proelio know that Marcus was sent to the underworld.

@ElusiveStorm:"He-he didn't..." Proelio began, then his voice faltered. "In the name of the gods, he did."

@The_Roman: "It is fine, I passed the trial and now i'm here to resurrect the world's most powerful military force."

@ElusiveStorm: "And you have my sword, uncle." Proelio smiled, a sword materialising in his hand which he then raised above his head.

@The_Roman: Marcus smiled. "We shall lead the Fulminata together."

@ElusiveStorm: "Indeed. However, I am not exactly a tactician, more of a soldier. A sergeant, as opposed to a general, if that comparison is applicable."

@The_Roman: "I understand nephew."

About time someone started bringing Roman Mythology into the Vine. Great work though I'm loving it. :)

Hovering overhead in the sky was the colossal "Litany of Justice" one of the Ordo's mighty Lazarus Air Dreadnoughts, this behemoth of the skies disgorged a single landing craft and a shining figure. The figure, the steamwork armoured clad Lord Saint Paladin Commander Johnathan Edenson of the Iron Drakes chapter of the Astartes, landed first while the landing craft's da vinchi style tilt rotors brought it downwards to the earth before gently landing down and disgorging the envoys, a series of men garbed in archaic looking garb that harkened back to three eras, that of ancient rome, that of the medieval times, and that of the Victorian Era. John himself stood guard while hovering, gyrorotor propelled scribe machines that ran on visible gears and hissed out steam from their boilers recorded what they heard with mechanical pencil wielding arms that ended in firm claspers.

@Lord_Johnathan: Proelio strode out to meet them, clad in his armour, spear in one hand, shield in the other. "Greetings. Welcome to the thirteenth legion. What be your business here?" Proelio's red eyes were narrowed.

The envoy, flesh mostly replaced with steam driven mechanical parts stepped in front of Johnathan. "We are the Ordo Astartes, a force that prides itself in the guardianship over mankind. We come with the offers of Alliance, given our similar goals and ideals for the Earth's future, and offering one of our greatest champions as a Liason." The envoy said in a monotoned, mechanical voice, the still fully armoured John folding his mechanical wings behind his back and waving at the Roman god.

@Lord_Johnathan: Proelio grinned. "Perfection. I am sure my dear uncle Marcus will agree with this, so let me say in advance, welcome to the Fulminata. I am Tribunus Laticlavius Proelio Marson."

Proelio led the soldiers in the obligatory ten mile run twice a day.
