When worlds collide (interest check)

Once again.....It's me lol. I've been itching for another RP now that my schedule has cleared up by quite a bit. I wanted to see, possibly, if I may, how many people would be interested in an RP that involved an alternate universe that wasn't Prime. Similar to how Convergence in DC maybe working or how Marvel is colliding the Ultimate universe with 616. It's only a brain baby right now that would include your character meeting it's alternate self with minor or major differences, but I thought it would be awesome and something to boost activity once again. Or, it could involve a common enemies aligning themselves with each other that threatened both universes and required a team up...Idk. Let me know what you guys think!

This can be my canonical retcon for Crimson. Ultimate Crimson (pretty much pre-victories, pre-resurrection Crimson) can kill off One (post-suicide Cyborg asshole) and hand around CV 616

I wish I got the Convergence/Ultimate references so I could make better sense of the (potential) nuances...but if it's just like a standard collision I think Iget it already.

But I think I'd rather fight another version of somebody else than myself. Maybe.

@arquitenens: I mean, meeting/fighting someone else's character is just as feasible as meeting your own, but I just used it as an example. My bad, I see the confusion now lol

I like (IMO unless their are other suggestions) a world where one person/entity seized control and ruled the world with an iron fist, causing no one to trust each other and fend for themselves. A few individuals come to this world seeking help or further expansion of the dystopia.

a beyond future set not too far where a few select incidents occurred or never took place. I.e Ivana failed the coup on VZ, or Nox killed quintus for leadership in the LoS and started a genocide. There are soooo many ways we can do this

Anything more than one dimension or universe would just cause a lot of unneeded chaos and confusion IMO

@_ophelia_: so this RP started out with the idea in mind to fight/meet a few morally askew characters that would differ from their original incarnation. I don't want to fight 5 evil champions while fending off 3 versions of the Aurelius clan. It just seems to saturate and over complicate the plot IMO.

I guess we could create location threads just for this (Like Collision: Gothic, Collision: Eagle's Roost, etc.).

@_vex_: It would be pretty simple.

Event starts with a device that allows one to traverse different realities (whether it is built in the CVnU or is brought here by some evil/morally askew intruder from another reality) malfunctions in some initial conflict, causing the CVnU's reality to crack a bit (comic science logic), leading to any number of different realities to leak into ours until we find the problem and fix it. I'm pretty DC had a story just like this.

I have a few reasons why I would personally prefer this story over a singular, darker reality.

• It gives writers creative leeway in what alternate versions of their character they can create, allowing them to do more in this RP than just fight/meet whatever darker version of them they create, but not taking away the ability to do so at the same time. You can still do exactly what you were going to do, but allowing others to do something a little different if they desire. If a Deadpool character pops up and wants to write him vs the invasion from the zombie clown universe, they can.
• This story provides a better reason for characters of many different backgrounds to participate, as events would be happening all over the world, whereas a singular morally askew reality "invasion" (if that's what it is) would probably be limited to a focal point. If you have your own ideas on reasons, excuse this.
• And frankly, we've had like three RPs that were focused on "good is bad and bad is good" realities, and although your idea is a bit different I don't think it's different enough to make into another big RP... as it is basically the "good is bad" reality, but more mild.

But this is your idea and your thread, so if you want the RP to be the way you originally suggested it to be, don't feel the need to change based of my personal opinions. Just throwing them out there if you'd want to consider them.
