Melissa Hannigan spends what precious little time she has on dry land and off the job with one of the only friends she has outside the uniform, Amelia Roberts-Sinclaire. The two have known each other for a few months, and they both deserve a quiet night on the town. Unfortunately, they have a rather strained definition of the word 'quiet'.
While they talk, drink, and make a general mess of things, they both recall the night that they first met, and the downright baffling circumstances that bridged the gap between their separate worlds and made their friendship possible.
