I have no idea what RPG's are, how are they played, and what is the point of them. Can anyone help me out please good old ComicViners?)
What are RPG's for?
The purpose of RPG in here is much like the other role playing games in video games to give you an example, you create your character and you interact with others or fight except instead of doing it with a gamepad you write. It's basically interactive fan-fiction except with original characters.

Hope this link helps you, do you have any questions?
@dark_vengeance_: Thanks. This clears out things a lot. Sound quite fun. Are there any RPG's you'd recommend?
@cyberwarrior Vengeance pretty much covered it above.
Its a writing section where people write with and against each other for various reasons. If your looking for training/practise look into this thread and somebody will help you if your intrested in joining the section as a writer.
@cassius_knightfall: Allright. Thanks for the link - very handy)
@cyberwarrior: No problem , good luck.
@dark_vengeance_: Well, read perhaps. I don't have a chararcter to the moment... You can't use existing characters, right?
@cassius_knightfall: I'l need it for sure :)
@cyberwarrior: Plenty people here to help and we all had to start somewhere. So dont be to overly critical of your early stuff and have fun with it.
@cassius_knightfall: OK. I will keep your words in mind)
@cyberwarrior: Just make a character and hop in on an interaction

You can base your character off of an existing franchise, and most people do. Just make them distinct enough from the original to make them stand out and you should be fine.
@web_flotsam: Okay, though I am not sure with who will I go to the moment)
@strongarm: Okey-dokey
Alot of times from my experience with creating characters, is that I take an idea from somewhere and I make it my own. Maybe keep a few things that would explain where you got it from, or at least give a bit more solid proof that you know what your talking about. An from there creating something original
