Obi Wan Kenobi sat on the floor of his empty room, staring blankly at the wall.  He knew that this was the day; the day it would all end, the day it would all come crashing down.  The Jedi looked at the pictures on the shelf to his side, reminders of days gone by, when life was simpler and he still looked at the world with wide eyes.  His whole career with We Are Legend was flashing in front of his eyes.  Every life saved, every mission completed, even every teammate lost, it was all coming back to him in perfect clarity.  But time was of the essence today, he'd have to leave the reminiscing for later.

"Mr. Alvarez..." A deep voice from the other side of the door snapped him back to reality.  "...fifteen more minutes."
"O...okay, thanks" Obi rose to his feet and began collecting everything on the shelves; so many memories squeezed into a flimsy cardboard box.  He exited the room, taking one last look at it, and then closed the door for the last time.  Walking the down the hall he felt as the memories were beginning to overwhelm him.  The WAL Tower was crowded with workers who were gathering everything they could.  As he stepped into the living room he breathed in deeply, knowing that this was to be his last opportunity to do so.  Sounds of the past came rushing back to him; all the fun he had had here, all the friends he had made.  When he chose to dedicate his life to becoming a superhero, he thought that he'd have to give up his personal life, but on the contrary, Obi met some of his best friends while at WAL, friends that would last a lifetime and would help make him the hero he is today.  Some of these friends were gone now but they lived on in the hearts and minds of those who loved them, and their legacy was everlasting.  The Last of the Jedi stood tall in the middle of the room as a legion of people buzzed around him frantically, trying to get everything in order before the deadline.  The room was empty, making it look much bigger than usual.

After a brief moment, the young hero, proceeded to walk outside of the WAL building.  Again, he couldn't resists the urge to look back as he exited it, giving it a final goodbye.   As he felt the warmth of the California sun illuminating his face, Obi heard the cheers of the large crowd of people collected outside.  Looking towards the multitude he could see many wearing WAL T-shirts and holding all kinds of supportive signs.  The Jedi could do nothing but smile at the various WAL fans there.  This city had embraced the team, their HQ had stool tall in the center of their metropolis and had become a part of the iconic skyline of Los Angeles.  Obi fearlessly walked into the crowd and was swallowed into the awaiting multitude.  Men with hard hats scurried about in front of the WAL Tower as Obi signed autographs and took pictures with the fans.  After about thirty minutes (which felt like only seconds to Obi) an alarm began to blare.  It was time.

One man in a yellow vest threw his hands into the air and began a countdown.  The crowd started chanting along but Obi remained silent.  When the crowd reached"10!", the Jedi couldn't help but hold his breath.  He had prepared for this for days but reality, only now, was catching up to him.  "9!"...The young held back his emotions, he wanted to look strong for the cameras and the people there.  "6!"...One more time all the memories began playing back in his head like a broken recording.  "1!"...This building had been much more than bricks and concrete, it was home.  "0!"....and now it was gone.

In a thunderous explosion, WAL Tower came crashing down.  The crowd was far away enough to be safe from the explosion and any ensuing debris, but the shock-wave was still felt by all.  Obi's gaze lingered for a moment and then as the smoke began clearing, he quickly turned around.  He didn't want to see his home reduced to rubble.  He made his way through the crowd and was surprised at how many people around him were crying.  The Jedi only smiled, fearing that if he didn't keep up that same look for one second, he'd break down right there, in the middle of the multitude.  He finally made his way out of the ocean of people and was immediately approached by an attractive female reporter.  Obi knew her well, she was the kind that would do anything necessary to get to the story. "Obi...Obi Wan Kenobi, I'm Jeniffer Gill with the KCAL 9, can we get a statement from you?"

The Jedi stopped in his tracks as the smile on his face faded.  "Statement about what?"

"Your team's headquarters, your home, was just demolished.  How do you feel about that?"

"Umm..I feel okay I guess. I don't know"  The reporter gave the camera man an awkward look, realizing that the normally media-friendly hero wasn't going to be very cooperative today.  After a brief pause she shot him another question.

"Obi Wan Kenobi, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding WAL's status in the superhero community.  Cly, Feral Nova, and The Wanderer are now on the Champions of Peace.  Uchiha NeVann is nowhere to be seen.  UNSC is no longer behind We Are Legend, and the team has not been seen on any missions for about a year.  Is the demolishing of this historic building a sign that WAL is now officially no more?"

A telling smirk spread across the Jedi's face as he responded to the woman's incessant interrogation, "Cly, Nova, and Wando are serving the world with the CoP, and frankly, I am proud of them for doing so.  They are still my family and always will be.  As for Vann, just cause you haven't seen him doesn't mean that he's not around.  He's a ninja..they tend to do that." Obi paused for a second as he thought about her second question.. "Jeniffer, I've been back on this Earth for almost five months now.  Already in that span, I've saved the world twice, I've made new friends, I've fallen in love, I've gone to places on this planet that I had never gone to before, but still, I've felt out of place...like I don't belong.  That's because where belong...where I've always belonged...is at the forefront of We Are Legend.  No...We Are Legend is not finished.  Today we all witnessed a long chapter in our hallowed history ending but the story is not yet over, not by a long-shot.  You will no longer see our symbol atop a giant tower in the middle of our city, but rest assured, We Are Legend is more alive than ever.  Now please excuse me."

With that, the brazen hero ended the impromptu interview and walked to a grounded Pelican airplane whose engines were now humming to life.  Inside were Zariah Liafador, daughter of an old friend who had sent her over to Los Angeles so she could learn the ropes with Obi, Professor Richard Clayton, super-genius and inventor extraordinaire; Acedawg, Obi's pet and super sidekick; and Marissa Zeraz, the only one there who Obi didn't quite like.  In Marissa's hands was a piece of paper with the names of the new team roster.  As she read through it, her lips parted, revealing a sly smile.  "Mr. Alvarez, I gotta say, I'm very impressed."

"Yeah, I get that a lot."

"I bet you do. This team...it has a lot of potential.  A healthy mix of legends, old members, and fresh new faces.  I will have no trouble selling all that new WAL merchandise."

'WAL merchandise?"

"As per our agreement, Mr. Alvarez.  You agreed to give Zeraz Corporation full merchandising rights and we agreed on picking up the tab for that fancy new HQ of yours.  You did read over the contract didn't you?"

"Yeah, yeah."  Eager to end his conversation with the abrasive businesswoman, the Jedi directed himself to the pilot, someone who he knew well from years ago, "Cover, we almost there?"

"I don't go by that name anymore, sir, it's just Alexa and yes, I'm getting ready to land now."

As they landed their collective gazes were directed at a metal dome-like structure that seemed to be a part of the mountain itself.  This had been designed with one goal in mind: keep the team safe, and the baddies out.  Too many times WAL Tower had been attacked by the supervillains, and why not? It was a giant target in the middle of a busy city.  This new HQ was close enough that they'd be able to respond to any threat but far enough that they weren't putting anyone in danger just by the mere fact that they were there.

When Obi reached the door he was immediately recognized as "Obi Wan Kenob!, We Are Legend, Identification Number 1218."  The door opened revealing the futuristic interior.  "Sir!"  A team of eight armed security guards stood with perfect posture and greeted the hero with a standard military salute.  "At ease soldiers, you're no longer UNSC, you're WAL.  No need for military protocol."

An older man in a fancy suit walked into the lobby, holding cleaning materials, followed by five little robots.  "Bonjour, Maitre Obi, I had no idea you'd be here by now." The small robots in unison also greeted the Jedi.  "Greetings, Master Obi Wan Kenobi, welcome to We Are Legend Headquarters."

"Thank you, Mr. French and um, I assume you're those servbots that Clayton made.  Nice to meet you."  Obi turned to everyone else in the room and gave them a look of anticipation.  "So...is it ready?"

"As ready as it will ever be."  A voice spoke from behind the guards.  Jason Drake, architect of this new HQ and father of longtime member, The Wanderer.  "I just ran my last set of tests and it is with great pride and joy that I can finally say that all systems are go."

"Then let's take a look."  Jason pressed a button on the lobby desk and secret door revealed itself.  The group walked through the door and were instantly amazed.  Where there had been nothing there was now an impressive modern-looking building.  Jason Drake again took the floor and touted his newest creation like a proud father.  "Gentlemen..and ladies..I give you the new headquarters of We Are Legend.  A state of the art war room, multiple training rooms, living quarters personalized to each individual team member, and much, much more, all built deep into Earth's surface."

Amazed, Obi collected beaconed to Mr. French and whispered in his ear.  "Individual team members will be arriving shortly, when they do, I'd like them escorted to the meeting room."

"Alright guys, let's get this show on the road, shall we?"

The Key Club, Hollywood, California -- Yesterday

At night on the famous Sunset Boulevard, Miles Davis' Pharoah's Dance bass  thumped through the high definition Key Club speakers into the streets. In the club, Joel Goude prepared to perform his poem backstage. In the crowd the girls stood pretty in their skin tight dresses and heels. The boys fixed their snapback hats and made sure nobody stepped on their brand new pair of $100's and up shoes. Perfumes, colognes, food and alcohol mixed to create the nightlife aroma. Friends mingled at the bar asking for mixed alcohol while the 21 under ordered water or fruit juice. Joel sucked on cranberry juice through a skinny black straw because he was only nineteen.  Signaling the crowd and Joel, the jazz fusion faded out, the lights dimmed to create silence anticipating a performance.

The club manager stepped on stage and grabbed the mic, "Opening for The Weeknd tonight, please show poet, Joel Goude some love!" The manager smiled at Joel and outstretched her arms to invite him to the stage. The crowd clapped and cheered with a few whistles and hoots.  That was his cue to walk center stage, despite the sudden stage fright telling him to stay hidden backstage. He stepped out and the spotlight hit him, immediately. The crowd cheered louder and Joel got high off of it. Joel's drummer and bass player looked to him for the cue to start.

The crowd's claps died out and Joel nodded to his instrument support, signaling then play. The bass player played a walking bass in A minor and the drummer lightly hit the rim of the snare every second and fourth beat. The rhythm picked up and Joel tapped his foot as the drummer added the hi hat "False D's with diamonds in between/Coked out girls on the dirty bathroom floors" he grabbed the mic off the stand and moseyed across the stage making eye contact with the crowd. "Green lights tell them go/but when red light comes they refuse to slow..."

"Hollywood, the land of the lost/ Angels with dirty faces. What power can bought?" Joel saw the eyes of some the men and women dart away from his gaze. They were the ones this poem applied to, it hit them every time. To others his words were affirmations and they cheered him on. "No cable, or fables? Fantastic!/ Lights, camera, action your're a star/ Whispering nasty nothings/Identified as the walking dead, zombies/ Grasping for life, but not their own/ They want yours, yours, and mine/Take what you were born with and run with it/ Because they'll rip that from you in Land of the Lost/ The Land of the Walking Dead/ The Land we call Hollywood" Joel dropped his arms and the bassist improvised the ending of his bassline. The audience cheered, screamed and whistled as Joel drank some of his cranberry juice before he resumed his spoken word.

The Next Day --  In The Afternoon

As Joel peered down at the hot city of Los Angeles from a helicopter, he reflected on how he got here.    Obi Wan Kenobi saved his life from the later to be revealed assassin, Band Lone. Band Lone killed Joel's art teacher trying to kill Joel. When Joel was hanging onto life, Obi Wan Kenobi fell from the clouds and saved him. Another thing Joel discovered that night was he was a mutant. That's what Band Lone hunted him down for, he was payed to "kill the powerful mutant." Joel had zero control of his powers, so he didn't feel powerful. Joel felt cursed. He would be surrounded by a team of people just like him. They could teach him how to control his powers and help craft his heroics.  Today he knew things were changing. The helicopter descended near a metal dome hidden by the mountains surrounding it.

"Joel.." Mr. Winters, the aged pilot, smiled as he opened the Joel's door. He smiled lightly and leaped out the helicopter onto the reddish-brown ground, puffing a dust cloud around his lower legs. Mr. Winters handed him his duffel bag and Joel slowly walked towards the metal dome. As he approached the high tech door, he fumbled for a pass-card he didn't have.

"Muse, We Are Legend, Identification Number 1705 ", Joel grinned as the door slid open and revealed a sleek layout. "Oh." Joel nervously laughed scratching the nape of his neck. Joel liked the shiny floors and walls, it reminded him of sci-fi movies about the future. He entered the headquarters and it was official, Joel Goude was a member of We Are Legend.

Archeron swept his hair back for the umpteenth time today. "Grr...I'm bullet proof, immune to all Earthly diseases, and I have a pair of kick @ss wings! Why do I still suffer from really bad hair days!" He wasn't happy. It had recently been leaked to a massive newspaper that he was the Anton Larrin of Larrin International, and he'd had to deal with his friend being kidnapped by Lucifer, then some copy of Gearo being made, then of course there was the whole Staff of Moses incident, in which he died. Then he came back and nearly killed his friend, who eventually died on the doorstep of Heaven. Ah well, he was moving into the new headquarters today. And his mansion had finally finished being rebuilt from the time Ultimatum, Gearo's copy, blew it up. His garage, now all but useless had nearly been restocked, apart from those cars which were irreplacable. He mourned his first car, crushed in the underground garage, but otherwise, he was good. The automated combs brushed his feathery wings for the last time, and he checked his teeth for bits of food, then his face for spots, or other blemishes. Satisfied with its impeccability, he straightened up. "Time to see the team." Stanford bustled into the room, and eyed Archeron. "Very good sir, but must I cut holes in the back of every shirt and jacket you own?" Archeron looked out the window. The old WAL Tower still stood. "Unless you want me to flex my wings and suddenly be half naked, Stanford, yes." He had his cloak for official Heaven business-type stuff laid out on the bed, and he seized it up and pulled it on. Two slits allowed his wings to fit through, and he smiled as he watched the WAL Tower. Stanford eyed his watch. "Five seconds, sir." Archeron nodded. "Yep." Suddenly the tower fell in a plume of smoke. "And so ends an era." Stanford remarked. "Only to begin another one." Archeron replied. "From the ashes of the old, the new shall be born." A million questions flew around inside Archeron's head. Did they get the DOVE gate out first? Who're the new guys? How high ranking will I be now? Silently, as he moved towards the front door, he thought about those who had left. Cly, Nova, Wando, all heavy hitters at the top of their game were with the Champions of Peace. Sideslash himself had considered joining, but WAL was his home, and he had never experienced being on another team. And who knew where the hell NeVann was. Well, the new WAL had himself, Obi Wan, a true legend, and a group of familiar faces and strangers alike. Some the angel had worked with, some he had not.

In a whisper of feathers, Archeron was in the air. He reached Mach 3 as he circled the city, then approached the metal dome that was the new WAL headquarters. The squat structure looked remarkably unimpressive, but it housed some fantastic technology that Archeron couldn't wait to tinker with. "Warning! Warning! Unidentified aircraft, you have twenty seconds to change course or we will fire." Archeron knew the defensive system was no joke, he'd helped build it. Tanks, SAM sites, anti-aircraft missiles, massive caliber machine guns. Archeron grinned, and touched a finger to his ear. "Shoot at me, and I'll come down there and kick the crap out of you." He warned. There was a chuckle at the other end of the line. "Welcome home, sir." Archeron reached the entrance and grinned. New system, voice recognition and you needed a pass code. "Zarek, We Are Legend, Identification Code 0028." There were a few ways to open the door, and he would try one each time he entered. Most of the members had linked their pass codes to their super identities, but having to say his surname anytime he wanted to enter felt real business like.

He entered, and eyed the shiny interior. All flash and sparkle. Humans always went for flair like this. It made them look more respectable. He spotted some team member. He'd never seen the guy before, so he assumed Obi knew him somehow. He approached, pulling up his hood. Silently, he reached the guy and smiled. "Hey. Name's Archeron." He stuck out his hand.

Tick, tock. No not the song by Ke$ha, the real thing, a live bomb. Five pounds of C4 explosive, enough to blow up a combat tank. A screen with the numbers 00:29 blinked, decreasing by one with each passing second. Fiddling with green, blue, yellow, and red wires, the twenty one year old Dragon Rider, Cly, was trying to disarm the bomb without killing himself. Grasping his impossibly sharp sword in his right hand, he took in a deep breath. Snip! The yellow wire was cut, and nothing appeared to happen. The timer was still going down, now at 00:13 seconds. Passing through a cloud, way up in the sky, he rode his Dragon and combat partner, the sixteen year old Dragon, Esmeralda. Yelling with panic, "DO I CUT THE GREEN ONE OR THE RED ONE!?" Esmeralda responed to his question using a special voice device, Guess or give up. The timer went to 00:02. "I GIVE UP!"

Tossing the bomb in front of him, Esmeralda caught it in her mouth and closed it. A muffled BOOM shook the cold, crisp air in the sky around them. Smoke rose from her nostrils. Cheap materials to say the least. Standing up to his feet on her back, he asked, "How am I ever going to get better at disarming bombs if you just eat them?" Turning her head she looked eye to eye with him with her glowing yellow eyes. The wire to cut that would have stopped the timer was the...blue one. Cutting the green or red would have caused your body parts to be scattered all over Los Angeles. The Rider smiled and laughed until he realized she was serious. "Alright, so I need more practice. Hey, at least we found that bomb before it hurt anybody."

Curling the tips of her wings, Esmeralda spun upside down and lost altitude. Breaking through the barrier of light clouds, the teenage Dragon gazed upon the tall buildings of Los Angeles, including their very own We Are Legend Headquarters. Today, was the day to retire the old location, and the many times the old building had been destroyed.

KABOOM! The building collapsed before their eyes. "It's sad to see it go, now we aren't the tallest building in Los Angeles." The Samurai was about to dive off into the rubble when he noticed someone jump way too high and land on Esmeralda's back, Obi. "Hey Obi! You got a lot of air on that jump!" The Jedi smiled, "It's the Nike's." Cly looked at Obi's basketball shoes then at his own bare feet. He lost the thought about the jumping when Obi said, "I'm very grateful for the time you led WAL, you've come so far, changed so much, and still in some ways are the same crazy Dragon Rider I knew back then." Cly was at a loss for words, "Yeah...good times." He paused. "Obi, I couldn't stay on the Champions, when I felt so much a part of We Are Legend, Esmeralda and I are both here to return to our roots." The Jedi looked overjoyed, and asked, "I would hope to see you lead the team again, but not alone this time." The Knight jumped for joy, "BOOYA!", and accidentally fell off of Esmeralda's back in the process. Snatching him with her tail, she shook her head.

Flying Obi to his plane, which he insisted traveling in much to Esmeralda's disappointment, she landed beside the plane to let the Jedi off. "Wait...Obi! Check this out..." Cly pulled up the back of his shirt to reveal a large tattoo on his back with the initials, WAL, in large, graffiti style font. Cly got the impression that Obi thought it was cool. Leaving him to his plane, Cly took off with Esmeralda, flying to the location of the new We Are Legend Headquarters.

Touching down at the entrance to the new Headquarters, Cly said, "Cly, We Are Legend, ID 1234". Esmeralda spoke hers, Esmeralda, We Are Legend, 1636. The doors opened, and they walked inside.

Loners Night Club, Orlando FL

"So you are really going through with this huh" asked the bartender of Loners Night Club as he poured a shot of Jack into the glass in front of Kurrent. Over the years he and Kurrent had become good friends. He always gave it to The Hero straight and that was something the was appreciated.

"Yeah, I'll be handling things out west but don't worry this is still my city and my club. Everybody knows that" said Kurrent then quickly took down the shot. Immediately after he signaled for another before the bartender spoke again.

He began to pour again and slid the glass closer to the Electric Ace and began to say, "You don't see that as a problem? You tell the whole damn world who you are, go of to the freaking Dark Utopia, get poisoned some crazy new element and now you are joining WAL. If that doesn't say hey come to Loners and blow it the hell up I don't know what does"

Kurrent took shot the slower than normal, almost as if he was in deep thought. After he put the glass on the bar and raised himself off the stool. He reached for his bag that was lying next to him and put it over his shoulder. then reached into his pocket. In his hand he gripped keys to the bar and threw it to the bartender before saying "You run this place while I'm not here" he took a pause and let the shock of what he had just said sit with the bartender. "Yeah people know who I am now and everyone knows that this is my place and I dare anybody to do something about it" The look on the bartenders face went pale and Kurrent knew that he needed to reassure him even more so he said "believe it or not their are still people out there that are loyal to me, nobody is going to let anything happen to this place and like you said I'm in WAL now so we got that going for us too"

New WAL Headquarters

He walked into the building and placed his things in the room that OB1 had told him was his. The building was magnificent for lack of a better word. This would be new for Kurrent and he welcomed it. In his full gear he walked to the meeting room where all members were supposed to convene ignoring everything in his way. His focus was higher than it had been in a long time and he was eager for his first mission as a member of WAL. In the room there were several chairs and with the flick of his wrist he summoned one with his electrokenisis towards him. He took a seat and looked around the room taking everything in while planning his exits like he did every time he entered a room.

Gearo stood at the entrance of the new headquarters and smiled, taking a large whiff of the air. “Ah, love that new base smell, especially since this is my new home.” The teen readjusted his grip on his two suitcases and started walking inside. A train of crates tied to his waist followed suit as he walked with a jump in his step. As he walked in, he could see the numerous robot of varying sizes and shapes going moving through the giant chrome hallways, each attending to a certain need of the building or the décor. “They really went all out with the design, didn’t they?” asked G3 as Gearo marveled at the beauty that was his new home. “Yeah, but I really wish it didn’t look like an evil genius’ base.” From his left, a humanoid like robot that was dressed like a butler walked up to him and turned the teen around. “Where do you think you’re going?” it asked as it pulled the suitcases from his hands and threw them to the ground. It then snapped the rope that was tied to the crates and started pulling the adolescent automaton towards a large set of double doors. “All new security drones must go through the repair shop to be examined for any defects,” said the butler bot as it pulled the teen through the doors. Inside was a massive collection of machines and tool, each cutting edge and glimmering in the brightly lit room.

Hang on,” started the teen as he tried pulling himself free, “I’m not a security drone.” The butler bot looked at Gearo with a look of confusion before continuing through the room towards a set of examination tables. “Impossible. Only security drones and helper bots are allowed to enter this facility.” The butler bot then swung and flipped the teen around so that he landed directly on one of the tables. Several metal clamps came up from the table and locked down Gearo’s legs, arms, and neck. “It seems you’ve got a problem with your primary programing,” said the robotic butler as he reached over to the console above the teen’s head, pulled out a connector cord, and searched for a port on the teen’s body. “A simple reinstalling of your primary programing should do the trick.” “How many times do I have to tell you, I’m not a…” started the adolescent automaton before butler bot plugged in the cord.

Suddenly Gearo went perfectly still as the main computer hub started combing through his brain. It skimmed through the memories that belonged to Arthur Smeltzer before his death, and continued on to the memories the adolescent automaton had created after awakening. The main computer started to take it’s time going through these memories, since they actually pertained to the WAL. Gearo watched as his memories play in his eyes. He could see himself running away from Cly, Esmeralda, and Archeron in his old Ford Mustang as they chased him through the Smeltzer’s old neighborhood in San Francisco after his escape from the secret military base nearby the city. He watched as he saved Archeron from the missile strike the military had tried to use to destroy him and the battle that ensued between General Krelboyne in a super high tech armor, himself, and the WAL members. Eventually they were able to defeat him and Cly had offered the teen a spot on WAL, which became a sanctuary for him.

Gearo started shaking his head in a daze as the program finished uploading into his head. “Oh dear,” said the butler bot as it looked at the results on the installation. “It seems that the program wasn’t the problem, it was you the whole time. You must be a reject that slipped past inspection. Reject must now be destroyed to prevent leak of information to outside forces.” Four security drones that looked similar to Gearo walked up and grabbed the teen by each of his limbs before the clamps let go. The drones picked him up and started carrying him towards a chute labeled trash. “Wait, DESTROYED!?Listen to me, I’m not a security drone, I’m Ge…” Before he could finish, the four drones dropped him down the chute and the teen fell for a few minutes before landing in a pile of scrap metal and garbage.

Gross,” said the teen as he started to pick himself up from the pile. It was pitch black where he was, but with his night vision eyes activated, he could make out the enormous room housing large hills of garbage. “That’s a lot of garbage for a newly created base,” said Gearo as he looked all around. From the corner of his eye, he saw a strange disruption in the air, like a gas leak. Making his way over to it, he could see that it was in fact a gas leak, but there was no evidence of the pipe being broken at any time. A closer look at the pipe revealed a small device on it that was similar to the top of a lighter. Gearo’s eyes widened in horror as sudden realization hit him. Before he could turn around and run, the gas quit flowing from the pipe and the little device activated, sending a small spark into the air. Within seconds, the entire room was set ablaze, the fire burning everything inside the furnace.

After twenty minutes, the fire was out and all that was left were mounds of ash and soot. A small door opened up on the far side and several butler bots started coming in, sucking up the ash and soot with industrial vacuums. As one of the butler bots was vacuuming, a mound in front of it started shifting and rising. The startled bot stumbled backwards, tripping over the vacuum tube and falling on its back. The mound continued to rise until Gearo stood over the robot, his eyes red with rage. Before the bot could do anything, the teen looked around until he saw the doorway and ran towards it. The other butler bots turned and watched as the adolescent automaton raced across the room and through the door. Red security lights began flashing as a monotonic voice spoke over the PA system. “CAUTION! ROUGE ROBOT IN THE FACILITY!” repeated the voice again and again as security drones began to swarm on him. “I don’t care if they are new and expensive, they get in my way, I’m gonna trash’em.” Two swords shot out of the teen’s wrist, which he caught and began cutting his way through the numerous drones. “G3, tell me where the meeting room is…NOW!” The AI went through the teen’s channels, getting a copy of the new base’s blueprints and locating the meeting room. It took Gearo about 30 minutes to climb the six flights of stairs through a seemingly endless stream of drones, past a crowd of screaming tourists to the meeting room. As soon as he got there, he could see that everyone else was sitting at chairs with their logo on the back just starting to go over their newest mission. In the teen’s seat sat a security drone staring blankly at the monitor. “Sorry to interrupt, but I’d like to request a change in the security drone design so that they DON’T LOOK LIKE ME!” Gearo then leapt across the room until he was directly behind the drone in his seat and ripped it right out of it and throwing it at the nearest wall. The drone shattered as it struck the wall and a moment of silence and awkwardness filled the room. Gearo looked around at the other superheroes and the people in business suits, who stared at him. Taking a deep breath, the teen gathered his calm, his eyes returning to their original color as he sat down in his seat. “Please, continue,” said Gearo as he gestured to Obi, who was standing in front of the monitor.

“Doc, Is this gonna leave a scar?!” Big eyes stood out from the pale scared face looking at him as Dupe held his hand on his stomach to keep pressure on the stab wound of the man. “Don’t worry, girls dig scars! Although this one is going to be pretty bad..” The man looked up at him with even wider eyes and grasped Dupe’s arm with his bloody hands which made Dupe realize it probably wasn’t the best time for cracking jokes “I’m kidding! Sorry.. just a little doctors humor”.

“Nurse, anaesthesia now please and scissors to cut his shirt off”.
The same eyes as his own were looking back at Dupe’s face. “Dude! Didn’t we go over this, If you’re not a nurse I’m not a nurse!” ugh.. seriously. Sometimes his Dupes were just like annoying little brothers. “Yeah well, I’m the one operating now so I’m the doctor, you’re the nurse!” Grumbling his Dupe went on to put a mask in front of the young mans face, letting him count down to 10 to see if and when the anaesthetics would kick in “1……2……..3………4…….”. Dupe finished the rest for him “5.6.7.8.9.10. You’re out!!”. As the focus shifted from the operating room to the halls there was another Dupe running around with various bandages pushing other Dupes out of the way that were shaking their fist at him. It seemed the entire hospital was being ran by duplicates of Nathan himself. Some were in charge of cleaning, the others doctors, other were nurses.. you name it and there was a duplicate for it. Since his time in the ICE Dragons he figured that he could be a hero on his own term, saving people didn’t only mean fighting huge dinotaurs. But as a hero he had been taking care of this hospital for weeks on his own since the original staff came down with some kind of strange food poisoning. They were slowly getting better under Dupe’s care but still… running a hospital on your own, not an easy task I can tell you!

Weeks later

Finally a break! The hospital was back on track, the staff was busy again and he had been invited to L.A. Some of his duplicates were still out there in the world, helping small villages in third world countries, teaching self defence in countries that weren’t exactly safe and all kind of other activities to make the world a slightly safer place to live in. After all, you had to start somewhere. And while he believed in being a small time hero on his own terms.. he kinda missed feeling a part of something bigger, something that would make a REAL impact on people lives, a light in the darkness sort of speak. As he drove out of the city in a rented car he came across a large dome like structure halfway embedded into a mountain after a couple of hours. “Holy s.. moly” he heard a voice saying to the right of him from his duplicate “Took the words right of my mouth..” He said back. Djeez.. We Are Legend, they didn’t exactly do things small did they? It almost looked more impressive than the ICE Dragons mansion, he could only wonder what it would look like inside. Maybe they had their own dragon?... nah, how could they possibly have their own dragon.

Driving his car up to the front gate it seemed he was already recognized as the gates opened without any fuss. Leaving his car outside he walked up to the high tech doors with his duplicate next to him “Ok… you’re sure we’re at the right place right?” Nathan looked at him with a raised eyebrow

“We’re in the middle of the dessert..”
“… yes”
“There’s a huuuuge structure in front of us”
“so…”
“It says WAL on the doors!”
“Could be a coincidence…”
“Oh shut up..”

With a simple gesture he ‘sucked’ the duplicate into his body as the large high tech doors slid open revealing a  white high tech looking structure inside of the building. Waiting for him was a Charly Chaplin looking butler that was just missing his hat to complete the look, but still slightly strange for a hero team. Crap.. now he did began to have doubts if he was at the right place. “This IS We Are Legend right?” He tilted his head a little to look past Mr. French. “Indeed it is, sir. The others are expecting you in the briefing room”. Wow.. this place was amazingly big, this would take forever to find out where everything is… unless… hm.. Suddenly his duplicates began flying from his body, around 50 dupes were surrounding the butler and the original Dupe. “Alright boys! Spread out!” He yelled as every one of his dupes went onto their own private tour, at least when he finished the briefing he wouldn’t have to scout the place. Walking in the briefing room he felt slightly uncomfortable with all the heroes looking back and forth to each other.. but oh well, better get used to it because he’d be stuck with them for a long time!

Standing afar, away from the crowd and preying eyes of the media, in the shadows of the skyscrapers that loomed over the City of Angels stood the daughter of Stephanie Ardor and Uchiha NeVann. Her dark emerald eyes were focused on the majestic tall building that stood in the middle of the busy city. A place that was filled with happy memories from more innocent times, long ago. She couldn't help but feel a knot build up in her throat as the crowd began to count down for detonation. The WAL HQ was more than just a HQ or a building. To her... it was home, her place of comfort and peace when all seemed chaotic in her life. Its where she found her parents, welcomed with open arms, shown what its meant to be part of a family, and how to be a hero. The ground below her rumbled as she watched the once symbol for Hope and Peace in the middle of the busy city, came crashing down and turned into rubble. A single tear fell from her eyes that she struggled so hard to keep back. Lowering her head she began to do a series of hand signals and in a puff of smoke, she disappeared.

Since being forbidden to be part of Champions of Peace by her own mother, Hotaru went off, training on her own in the blistering heat of the Savanna Desert. Why? She honestly couldn’t tell you, she just knew she couldn’t go back to We Are Legend, and she couldn’t go back to her brother with her tail in-between her legs, she had to train on her own, survive on her own, become her own person.

But when the rumors that her ‘Tio Obi’ came back to Earth after being MIA for years, the young Uchiha couldn’t help but investigate further. Obi was the one person she felt the closest to when she first arrived at WAL, he just… seemed very accepting of her, and caring, just like an uncle should be. Upon entering the old building, her heart swelled up with joy as she saw her Tio Obi standing there with that same goofy grin on his face before he left.

The two began to talk, catch up with what has been going on. Hotaru began to explain to Obi what had been going on since his time away, and how her mother left the team, leaving it in the hands of Cly who ended up merging the team with Champions of Peace. She could tell by the look in his eyes, that Obi wasn’t going to stand for it, he wasn’t going to just leave WAL like her mother and father did, not him. The two talked for weeks, not just catching up, but about his ideas into bringing We Are Legend back to the top, and this caught the young pryo princess’ attention like no other. It was her chance to prove herself yet again, and this time, with the very team she once called family.

But this team wouldn’t be made of the same people she once knew. It would be a whole new assembly of heroes, maybe a couple from when WAL was still in Cly’s care, but in reality, it was going to be a fresh start for the team, which meant, a fresh start for herself. She could now make a name for herself, instead of standing in the safety of the shadows made by her parents, she was going to be able to stand on her own two feet and show the world that she was meant to be taken seriously.

She was there the entire time by Obi’s side while he began making arrangements for  the team to be brought back. While at the same time being trained through ways of the Jedi, using a lightsaber he gave to her upon his return. It was unlike anything she had ever learned to use before, it was light, deadly, and required a whole new set of training that required hours of tedious work. But she was disciplined thanks to the intense training given to her by her father. She became quickly accustomed to the ways of the jedi, and slowly began focusing more on that, rather than her own Uchiha training.

But that’s a story for a whole other time. Hotaru was already inside the building, getting a feel for the new WAL HQ. Everything was just so… different when compared to the old building. Not to mention… no view of the city. Seemed a bit colder now too… not as warm and welcoming as before. But this is what Obi wanted, and she respected his wishes.

“Bonjour madam Hotaru.” Mr. French spoke to her, he was a sight for sore eyes, at least out of EVERYTHING that’s changed with the team, he was still the same.

“Hello Mr. French.” She smiled at him.

“Everyone iz in dee meeting room. I suggest ye go there too before ye iz late.”

With a nod and a respecting bow the young jedi ninja began to make her way to the meeting room. But along the way she saw three men of the same look run right pass her, and then splitting up in different directions. She looked at them a bit confused, who was… Are they? She shook her head as she continued making her way to the room.

The door opened for her as she stepped in, looking at the fellow heroes that were already there, some she knew, some of them she did not. A smile on her face as she saw Cly sitting there with this everlasting grin on his face, Kurrent was also there… she had heard stories about him from her mother… both good and bad, but who was she to judge? Her dark emerald eyes then landed on Sideslash and Gearo, the two were on WAL while Cly was still leading, and it made her happy to see them back on the team. Then of course there were those she didn’t know at all, like… that teenage boy and then there was the man who ran pass her with two other duplicates. He was going to be interesting. With a smirk she took a seat, staying silent as she waited for the meeting to start up. A new chapter of We Are Legend was about to beginning.

Present Tense

Love is magic, especially when she give it like that.  Caressing his shoulder, her tongue slowly went up from his chest to the neck.  That tingling sensation of pleasure set him on a course of loving this mere stranger.  His hands gripped on those high heel boots.  He was gonna show her just how he worked, with nothing but shoes on.  Doing tricks that she'd never seen before.  This was not a joining of love but of lust.  And after hours of hard labor, the two lay silently beside one another.

Sitting up, the Son of Thunder was ready to order the gal a vehicle for her predetermined departure, but her hands massaging his shoulders kept him still.

"I cannot believe you're that hero, Closure! Like oh my God, the day I saw you and OB1 fighting crime with one another, I immediately knew you two were like both sexy.  I so appreciate you in every way.  Besides your awesome looks, you have muscles, and like you save lives.  Your like Mother Theresa, but with a penis."

Laughing, Noah breaks away from this female's light grip.  "Nice analogy but I have to go.  Before I meet up with my new friends, anyway questions?"

She hopped off the bed.  Wrapping her arms around his waist, she whispered so eloquently into his ear.  "What made you work with Obi Wan Kenobi and his long lightsaber?  Details, please!"

Kissing her on the forehead, Noah replies in such a nice manner.  "That's classified information.  Now please go, before Darkchild figures out were together.  I doubt you want to be chained, gagged, and raped so hurry!"

"OMG! Having intercourse with male super-heroes is like so dramatic!  I'm sorry Closure but we can never be like together, cause this is to much.  Goodbye!"

Waving goodbye, the Son of Thunder walks into his closet where a variety of clothing begged to be worn.

"Dove---" Stopping for a second, Noah catches his breath.  His throats burns, it hurts, its truly painful.

"Mister Zeraz, ever since our trip to the World of Alternation, I have advised you to prevent vocal interaction.  Your lungs are not yet at full capacity, and if you wish to prevent the handicapped ability of being mute, I suggest you stay quiet until you're arrival in Los Angeles.  First impressions are meant to be great and as far as I know, there will be many personalities you will dislike.  After many years of being underrated, you are finally accomplishing your destiny."

Looking awkwardly at Dove the Tool Box, Closure flicks the bird away.  "Mister Zeraz!  What was it that I said wrong?"

"You hinted at my destiny and you never tell me what it is.  So, please don't---"  Coughing out blood, the Son of Thunder took a moment to rest.

"Mister Zeraz! I will proceed with a small incisive surgery, side affects include memory recollection, so do not be alarmed by vivid flashbacks.  Just remember the World of Alternation was not your life but someone else.  You are your own person.  Remaining calm will subdue any type of outside pressure."

One Week Ago....

Life has been a whirlwind for Noah Rochelle Zeraz.  Alternate worlds, prophecies, break-ups, revelations, and a foreboding dove.  On a day like any other, Closure sits atop the tower of the illustrious, Zeraz family.  While scientists innovate.  A man with so much charm, walks up these stairs as if he owns them.  Jacob Alvarez, a brother to Noah in another lifetime.  He sits alone on a comfy, velvet couch.  Beside him is little Kevin Saunders of the Family Foundation.

"Mister stranger, you try to hard."  He said without hesitation.  Opening his mouth, the living icon known as Obi Wan Kenobi is ready to speak a witty reply, but before he can the little boy runs away.  Turning his head, Jacob looks into the eyes of one independent woman.

"Mister Alvarez, I see you like bullying children.  I guess I am to presume your relationship with Helena Troy is in its beginning stages and well your no where near ready to bare offspring.  Follow me, we have a lot to discuss."

Upon entering the cozy corridor of Marissa Lilith Zeraz, the somewhat nervous leader sits beside an awfully quiet, Closure.   Tick! Tack! Tick! Clack!  A pen his thrown down to the tiled floor.

"Good evening Mister Alvarez and Mister Zeraz.  My name is Alicia Hardy and on behalf of Director Zeraz, I am here to discuss the partnership between We Are Legend and Zeraz Industries.  Due to my initial inference, I believe our partnership will work most synonymously.  Zeraz Industires is paying to build your team's establishment. In return we have rightfully acquired full merchandising rights, meaning we are permitted to sell We Are Legend toys, clothing, and other types of products.  I do apologize for such formalities but this issues must be said before perplexing thoughts are made.  Before Miss Zeraz signs this agreement that will surely promote her company, why is it that you want Noah Zeraz on your team?"

Looking over to his brother, Jacob spoke from his heart.  "This guy right here has talent.  I trust him and with all we've been through, a good friend as well.  Together, we'd be legends."

A little smirk stretches across the face of Marissa.  Her long blond hair is pushed back to reveal her yellow eyes.

"I don't want any screw ups.  Zeraz Industries will make you America's number one team, like We Are Legend should be.  And if by any chance my nephew doesn't live long enough due to your team, expect my fist  to shatter your bones.  Mister Alvarez, have a good day.  Come here again with that swagger, and I'll have Kevin teach you a lesson or two.  I hope you can prove to me that legends never die."

Present Day

After waking from his trance, the Son of Thunder dressed and packed his belongings.  The trip to Los Angeles, California was long but worth the expense.  When entering the technological structure that was his home, Noah smiled in absolute joy.  His many aspirations were finally coming true.  We Are Legend, a team he never thought he'd be a part of.  It was breath-taking.

"Master Zeraz, I presume you are here for the meeting as well.  All heroes are asked to assemble in the briefing room.  I will take your luggage if you don't mind."

"Oh please, call me--" Biting on his own thumb, Closure stopped speaking.  "Noah are you okay?" asked a worried Mister French.

"He'll be fine.  Just guide him to the meeting room.  I'll find his room and take the luggage there."  Astonished, Mister French immediately interrogated the additional guest.  "And whom might you be, young lady?"   Smiling the young woman replied with stern confidence.  "Well my name's Blair Bloomfield, its nice to meet ya."

This was the next chapter in the life of Closure.  The road to becoming a legend.  Within a room of diverse personalities, Noah could only think about one thing.  Becoming a prominent member of this team, evening being a part of the next Big Three.  With such excitement, came to the abrupt moment called a buzz kill.  Kurrent and Angeni.  A woman he no longer spoke to.  A man who abandoned him long ago.  This new stage in life, would be quite fascinating.  After all what's a team without internal drama?

Helena Troy daughter of Athena and Hephaestus fell on her knees while blood began to drip down her face onto the sandy floor making the crowd cheer with excitement. "I have fought my way through guardians of Hades, and drove my way out of the fires of torment to change my fate. And for my efforts, the Sisters have shined their light upon me, delivering me the very object of my vengeance, Helena Troy princess of Athens". The gigantic Barbarian said while raising his gigantic war hammer in the air ready to finish off the goddess who was badly injured and covered with bruises, not even her boomerang tiara could damage this giant ."I have defeated you once before and I shall do it again, Barbarian King." Helena said looking up at the giant and coughing up chunks of blood. "You dare mock me, daughter of Athena?!". The Barbarian easily angered raised his hammer more higher to finally end the goddess but the princess somehow managed to use the last of her strength to dodge the attack and send her knee forward across his chest, then swinging her hip while extending her kicking leg outward, striking him with the outside sword edge of her foot sending him across the arena. " Back down or face my lasso of truth, Barbarian King". She said while watching the giant get up from the ground in pain and standing back up on his feet." Foolish princess you think I will give up so easily, I don't think so." The giant said while picking up his gigantic war hammer and raising it yet again making the crowd cheer more with excitement.

Helena who was badly injured and could barely stand on both of her feet began to remember the day she had battled the Barbarian King during the siege between Athens and the Barbarians. The battle itself was less like a battle and more like a total massacre lasting only a few hours. Despite the Athenians great knowledge and hard training in combat, they could not hold back the Barbarian Army. The Barbarians were merciless and savage, slaughtering the Athenians like bugs. Helena and the Barbarian King faced off on top of Mount Ida and the King was about to kill Helena using his massive war hammer, but Helena knew she could not lose to the giant who would later destroy all of Athens which was the most important thing to her, so the ten year old princess called out to her father that day, asking him to forge a strong weapon to defeat the giant, and so he did creating the Lasso of Truth which Helena used to defeat the giant by lassoing his hammer and pulling it towards her using her strength to swing the hammer like a tornado and send it right back at him killing him quickly due to the spikes on the hammer.

"This time, Princess of Athens, I will have your head!"The Barbarian King roared charging at her with his hammer. Snapping back to reality the goddess quickly used her yellow glowing lasso of truth to lasso the hammer yet again and pull it towards her now using the final left of her strength to swing the hammer like a tornado and send it right back at him killing him once again. The princess of Athens now fell back on her knees and took a deep breath watching and hearing the crowd cheer and shout her name out of victory. After a moment the goddess began to heal and two of her Athenian soldiers opened the gates to the Colosseum and rushed into the arena, picking their princess up. "My lady..... we have finally found you!". The two soldiers said with excitement. " How many days has it been since I was away from my city, Athens?". Helena said with a smile. " Two days my lady. You were abducted by the undead Barbarians who were reawaken by Zeus, and so the Barbarians stormed into our city and somehow captured you. We tried to save you but we were outnumbered and by the time we managed to run the savages out of the city you were gone." Helena looked down at the ground and sighed. " I don't remember being captured...... I just remember saving a child from one of the Barbarians during the invasion and then waking up in a chamber." She said looking back up at the two soldiers. " We have failed you princess but this shall not happen again, you have our word." Helena now fully healed from the battle stood up on her feet and placed her hands on both of their shoulders. "There is no need to apologize my friends you all fought with bravery and knowledge and that is what makes us strong." She smiled but then her eye's suddenly widen now remembering that she had requested to join We Are Legend and go to a meeting today. " Before I rejoin with my city and people, I must go visit the mortals but I will return........ I promise you all." The goddess said while taking off into the sky going to Los Angeles.

We Are Legend

After being rescued by her people and defeating the Barbarian King, Helena finally arrived in front of the headquarters of We Are Legend wearing her breastplate and fancy blue short tights which seemed to attract all the disgusting mortal men eye's but she decided to ignore them instead of being like her mother who once blinded this mortal man for watching her take a bath in a lake. The goddess took a deep breath and entered the headquarters approaching the butler whose eye's widen due to how attractive she was or maybe he was just staring at her outfit. "Miss Troy....... I presume you are here for the meeting as well." He said pointing towards the two doors which the meeting was being held in. " Thank you." She opened the two doors and walked inside noticing a couple of familiar faces from the Champion's of Peace.

#11  Edited By Warrior Guyver X

Flashback: 9:30 pm Los Angeles

CJ Briggs otherwise known as Warrior Guyver X had traveled a long way from home to try to deal with a rumor about the constant surge of Chronos activity. As he walked along the streets of this crime ridden town in his civilian guise that the place hasn’t changed since the last time he had been in this city.  For he remembered vividly the day that he joined We Are Legends when he fought against his fellow warrior Bio Guyver a long time ago. It seems he has gotten sentimental over the years after he started over with his life even managed to marry the greatest woman he has ever met in his entire life. Even had a set of two kids who are growing up so fast on them which made him hope he did right teaching them the things he knew so that they would never make the same mistakes as him in the past. Sighing to himself as he placed both hands in the front pockets of his baggy black jeans as he started to walk in his black steel tipped combat boots towards the place he use to call home.

There was a lot of great memories he had with his old team mates who he does keep in contact with a few of them over the course of time. For he could never ever forget them for they grew on him as time passed on to become like a makeshift family to X as he quickly used his left hand as he wiped off the single tear that was threatening to come out. X even started to notice that things were going downhill for the team when Andferne’s last which to have all of the teams that fight evil join together to form Champions Of Peace. Unfortunately when all of the members of there team along with other organizations suddenly left for C.O.P had caused there old groups to slowly fade away in there memories. At first X had joined C.O.P since he was intrigued about the notion of a team comprised of various superhero teams joining together to fight against a common enemy. But soon after X decided that that team wasn’t meant for him since he quit there organization to eventually returned to fighting against evil by himself. As he was running traveling at superhuman speeds causing massive gusts of wind to kick up as he traveled as it kept blowing on his baggy black floor length leather duster coat and baggy black cut off shirt that pressed up against his pale marble-like body.

The look upon X’s face was completely devoid of emotion as if he shut off his humanity to make it easier to not feel anything when he does horrible things. Stopping suddenly in his tracks when X was close enough to his destination as the cries of help from the woman in trouble in a alleyway that was half way across town. Slowly he started to walk towards them so that he got a better understanding of what he was dealing with so he could be able to deal with the problem without having any causalities. His sharp sense of sight quickly noticed that there was three masked men who look to be about ready to rape the woman before them. Clenching his fists as he spoke in unemotional tone of voice trying to get the humans attention since he wants to give the woman to run away before the real fight begins.
“Hey @#$%^&*!, you like picking fights with women you cowards? Why don’t you jerks pick a fight with somebody that can fight back ya bunch of p@#$%^&.” Getting into a fighting stance as his words definitely got his attention as two of the men start moving towards him while the third picks up the woman to use her as hostage.

As a warrior he cannot stand cowards who try to use innocent people as leverage which boils his blood for he was going to do something quite nasty to man holding the hostage. The two punks coming towards him picked up off the ground in this alleyway a broken lead pipe and a 2X4 which made him smirk a little as his right hand slowly became unclenched. For as he unclenched his hand the device on him moved the hilt of the light saber into his hand which was going to be a nasty surprise to his enemies when he reveals to him that he was armed as well. Though he was going to use the light saber as a last resort since these humans were so weak that will not take very much of his enemies to rip these punks asunder. Quickly X ducked out a swing of a lead pipe to the head as he retaliated with the low kick to the knee to the pipe wielding thug as the thunderous CRACK sound was made which signified he broke the man’s leg. Even though he was distracted with one thug the other managed to break the 2X4 that the other thug was carrying when it smashed against his head. Turning his head towards the shocked and surprised thug as X glared at him which caused the punk to drop the useless weapon on the ground as he fell on his butt trying to back away. Without showing any remorse as he moved on to his next victim landed a swift kick to the face of the pipe wielding thug who was still crying about his broken leg knocking him out.

It unfortunately didn’t escape his notice the hostage toting thug pulled out his gun then pointed it at the scared woman’s head as X quickly looked over at them.  Just with his eyes he signaled to the woman she was going to be fine for he was going to free her shortly. In which caused the scared almost scantly clad woman to nod to him as she bravely sucked it up as she showed her putting on a brave face for him. Turning his attention to the now scared punk as he kept moving towards him as the man tried looking for a suitable weapon to try to fight off X. Unfortunately he didn’t have time for that as X’s eyes started to glow completely red as he showed his fangs which extended in his mouth which signified he wasn’t human at all. Scared out of his wits the 2X4 wielding thug had pissed his pants when X attacked as he lifted him up effortlessly with his left hand as he tossed him thirty feet away into a large dumpster. A sound of the large dumpster lid slamming shut echoed throughout the alleyway when that 2X4 punk landed inside of it causing him to look over at the gun toting thug.

That punk was scared yet the woman remained brave in the face of danger which made him nod out of respect to the woman who returned the gesture to him. Slowly he started to sense somebody familiar to him as he stopped to look around noting there was nobody there though X still felt that he was being watched. Turning his attention on the gun toting thug as the gun he was wielding was now pointing at him as he spoke in a scared tone of voice.
“Stay back whatever the F@#$ you are I got a gun and hostage so back off.” Unfortunately X never heeded his warning as he started to move towards the thug which in a panic the gun toting thug pointed the gun at him as he pulled the trigger. Gun shots rang out as a lot of the bullets had missed X quickly reacting on basic instinct activated his black light saber as he cut down those bullets seemingly without effort. Again the gun toting thug spoke still scared out of his mind as he kept the gun pointed at X thinking he still could kill him. “Are you that Jedi guy who lead this freakshow team who tried to protect this city??” Those words sent chills up X’s spine as he remembered his old friend Obi Wan who seemingly disappeared long ago. At times he wondered where he went for his kids kept asking where there uncle Obi had gone since he told many bedtime stories about the adventures when he was still in WAL. Even though his kids loved hearing about stories about there father they did want to know more about there mysterious uncle Obi. Shaking his mind off those thoughts as he focused at the task at hand as he glared at the gun toting thug as he quickly vanished to suddenly appear right in front of them instantaneously. Being a Neosapien X was a lot faster then a human can perceive like he could teleport even though he was moving so fast that the gun toting thug never noticed that he disarmed him by cutting off his hand.

When the gun toting thug noticed that his hand was missing he let out a blood curdling scream as he quickly let go of the girl who he caught before she fell to the ground. The woman he caught with his left arm had merely fainted as he let out a sigh of relief knowing the hostage was out of harms way as he gently laid her on the ground. As he was tending to the woman he was stabbed in the back with a stiletto knife as X held back roaring in pain. Getting back onto his feet he stared down the punk who stabbed him as glowing neon blood oozed out his wound as the hand-less thug stood in fright of X who was looming over him with his scary visage. Without any sign of remorse he cut him into tiny little pieces with his black light saber as he shut off his weapon as it reacted into his sleeve so he could deal with his injury. Grabbing onto the handle of the stiletto knife still lodged in his back as he pulled it out of his body covered with his blood as he quietly looked it over. Not wanting his blood being used for any type of experiment he utilized his molecular manipulation ability to diatomize the weapon ensuring his existence remains a secret. The wound on his body had quickly healed itself as he turned his head again at the innocent woman he saved as a voice pierced through the air breaking him out of his train of thought.
“Don’t you think you went a bit overboard overkilling that last guy X???”

That voice was very familiar to him as he quickly turned his attention to the man who stepped out of the shadows who X instantly recognized that person. Stepping out of the shadows of the poorly lit alleyway stood his old comrade in arms Obi Wan Kenobi who mysteriously disappeared long ago. Shock registered on his face for he hasn’t seen him in a long time for it only brought up in his head all the questions that was looming inside of his mind he wanted to ask Obi. All of the thoughts running through his mind he didn’t seem to notice that Obi got close enough to him to smack him in the back of the head which caused X to glare at the jedi. “Now that I got your attention X I have been watching your little fight with those guys I am almost impressed with the skills you demonstrated. I mean I could of done it a little better without being injured the process but I am guessing you got some stuff on your mind right now.” Obi’s words caused X to give him a evil glare which didn’t frighten the jedi as he arrogantly smirked at him which made him glare at him more evilly. After all these years he still got use to Obi’s arrogant attitude though he respected him as warrior for when things gets tough his friend will switch into a serious mode. Folding his arms together as he took a few step back as he faced Obi-Wan as his face changed to hide any emotion on his marble-like skinned face. “Welcome back Obi are in order for it has been a while I have seen you last. I am guessing this isn’t a social call so get to your point.” X’s tone was unemotional as the pointed look appeared on Obi’s face which changed into a knowing smirk as he started to speak again to him.

“Thanks X-Man it is good to be back. Of course you’ll always want to get to the point well I am here to tell you that We Are Legends is reforming in which I am extending a invitation to the team again.” Instead of answering X just rolled his eyes not impressed with the offer as Obi took out his light saber out of his Jedi robes as he activated it causing a blue beam emit out of the hilt as he spoke in a condescending tone. “I see your not convinced X-Man lets have a sparing match with just our light sabers to see if you’ll join the team or not. Unless you are afraid to face me?” Usually words wouldn’t bother X for he was too level headed for that nonsense yet when those words slip out of Obi’s mouth he wanted to shut his mouth permanently. Just with a flick of a wrist his black light saber extended out of his right coat sleeve as he threw off his coat. As he threw off his coat to the ground X ignited his black light saber he got in his fighting stance similar to the Vaapad/Juyo style as a smirk appeared on his face. X figured he could take on Obi in a light saber duel till he took out a light saber which emitted a green beam out of the hilt which he knew was going to be a glorious battle. Jumping back to land a hundred yards away from Obi while keeping his eyes directed at Obi while trying to construct a battle strategy in his head. It felt like hours in actuality it was only been a few seconds as the stare down continued between the two battle hardened warriors. In there minds a war was being waged between them yet they were completely still not moving a single muscle as if they were statues. Suddenly X started to move which meant the mental battle was over as both Obi and X were charging at one another with there weapons poised in there hands. The air was filled with electricity that night as these two warriors charged right at each other wanting to settle between the both of them who is the greatest warrior. When X was close enough he swung his black light saber to have it blocked by Obi’s blue and green light sabers which the clash of the blades lit up the entire area with blinding light.

Present Day: 8:45 am Underground WAL HQ

Pulling himself from his thoughts as he relived the night he fought Obi-Wan Kenobi in a light saber for the battle itself to end up a stalemate. It was a oddity for X to have a battle to end up with no consecutive winner in the fight which just made him scowl. He was on his bed just staring off into space when his mind thought back on that night again on many different occasions. Because of his battle with Obi he decided to rejoin his fellow WAL members to reform there organization even had a hand with rebuilding there underground headquarters. The team was up and running now as it slowly had people returning even had new recruits who sought out to join this illustrious group of heroes. Quietly he got out of bed not wanting to disturb his wife from her sleep as he got up and walked out of his room. Since he couldn’t sleep he felt all this pent up excess energy he needed to get out he felt heading off to the training room. Not carrying how he was dressed clad in a pair of baggy black pajama pants as walked down the hollowed halls of WAL HQ’s he knew this was a new beginning for the We Are Legends team….

"Turn it down! I'm trying to get some sleep here!" An angered Light bellowed into the night from his third story apartment window. It had been a long while since he regained his kryptonian prowess and the adjustment process was more difficult than he presumed. His body was energized over 98% of the time so falling asleep was an hour long ritual. Add to that fact his super sensitive hearing amplified the slightest noise greatly, it made sleeping a goal out of reach for the alien. "Honey, thats your alarm clock. You've got to be at that lame super hero thing in 30 minutes." With a threatening growl the hero picked his head up from the pillow and grasped the alarm clock in his hand, crushing it to pieces with little effort.

"Do you know that for the past five hours I've sat here and listened to you breathe?" A small woman sat up next to Light, her breast exposed as her back leaned against the headboard of the bed. Her skin was fair, and her hair was a long, silky blonde. Her thin lips curved into a smile as her slender fingers skid across Light's broad chest. "I bet thats what kept you awake you little freak." She winked and left a soft kiss on his lips before exiting the bed and stretching, still naked. Light's sexual nature tempted him to pull her back into the bed. Oh how he wished he could fondle her stellar curves, exploring her... He put an end to his perverted thoughts and climbed out of bed as well, placing his boxers on his waist. "There's nothing little about my freak. And about what you said earlier, what's so lame about super heroes?" She snickered, noticing his manhood was enticed, no doubt by her appearance. Enjoying the idea of manipulating him a bit she continued to stretch, this time turning to face him. "Tights? Rediculous sense of justice? Its dull, inhuman, and corny."

Light frowned. "Is that what you think of me?" Light said with false despair. She was caught off guard and immediately rushed over to him. "Well of course not. But your less like a super hero and more like a vigilante." Light was almost dressed now, adorning regular human attire. A blue T-shirt with denim jeans and a pair of jordans were his outfit for the evening. "Same difference." He said dryly, still trying to milk it for all its worth. "Not at all. Vigilantes are much more attractive and stylish than any plain old hero. Especially you." She said as in a lower whisper, leaning in for a seductive kiss. Light gave her a quick peck and pulled back with a teasing smirk. "We'll continue this later. Goodbye, Alicia." In a flash Light was gone, his super speed leaving the woman craving him more so than she did previously. She pouted as he left, tossing her head back hard against the bed. "Its Elizabeth..."

Light arrived at the entrance of We Are Legend's west coast facility, marveling at the advanced design of the structure. "A new chapter begins in the book that is my life..."

I hope she’s home.. “Hold on i’m coming.. Damn you don’t have to knock like you the po-” Jennifer stared at me like she saw a ghost. “West?” Holding up her birthday gift i smiled. “Yeah?” Grabbing the red gift she welcomed me inside. “Where have you been?” Sitting on her black leather couch i explained what’s been going on. “For some time i’ve been on We Are Legend. Lately though.. I’ve been searching for Chloe.”

Her leaving is what broke our little group up. Jennifer, Chloe, Blair, Jack, Phoebe, and I. We were all inseparable. I really miss it. Her leaving really tore us apart. We basically spent the whole entire summer searching for her. “Even though we haven’t really talked much since the accident i still couldn’t forget my best friend’s birthday. Hope you love the gift!” Jennifer smiled as she opened it. “A candle, and concert tickets to go see Nicki Minaj! Damn you are awesome as hell!” It made me happy to see the look on her face. An expression that not that many people got to see from her.

Jen is a very complicated person to understand. To most people she may seem like the biggest bitch you'll ever meet.. while to very few people she could be the most caring person you'll ever meet that won't have a problem beating someone who messes with her friends.

"So what's new with you Jen? Talk to anyone lately?" She set her gifts down to the right side of her glass table. "Well.. Some time ago i ran into Blair.. I'm actually one of the very few survivors of the Raccoon City incident. If it wasn't for Blair and this lady named Risky i would probably not being sitting her now.. Let me just say though. Blair isn't the same girl we knew in high school, she may be a bit ditsy still but she grew a pair of balls." That really made me chuckle. "Also her going by the name Cellphone Girl what the hell what that chick thinking?"

"Though if you do come into contact with Blair anytime soon while being on We Are Legend.. Call me immediately"

A few days later  - WAL HQ

Spending the rest of the day was really fun with her, but now it was time to get to the We Are Legend HQ. Making my way through i saw the butler Mr. French who very politely greeted me, and as i made my way into the doors i saw very few familiar faces, and many faces that i had never seen before.

Obi Wan Kenobi sat in his office deep in the new underground WAL Headquarters.  He looked up at the clock. 12:56 PM...In a few minutes the new team would be arriving.  We Are Legend.  Such history, such legacy.  But this team...this team would be different.  They weren't a bunch of wide-eyed kids with zero training and boundless energy like the team Obi had first joined.  Many of these guys were vets, some, even legends in their own right, heroes who had made names for themselves long ago.  The Jedi looked at the prospective roster sheet on his special Zeraz Industries tablet one more time.  It was an impressive group of heroes, no doubt about it.  Obi had personally tracked down and met with each one to have face-to-face conversations with them.  If even half of the potential recruits arrived and joined today, WAL would have a damn good squad.  Scrolling down he looked at the individual profiles of each recruit.

There was Cly, the man who would be one of his co-captains.  Cly was a warrior, through and through.  Fierce, brave, loyal, all characteristics that made him the perfect teammate.  When he first joined WAL, Obi didn't think much of him, just another newbie with a weird gimmick trying to carve out a niche in the superhero community, but with time it became apparent that Cly wasn't just another drop in the bucket.  He was a natural born leader, the kind who led with actions, not words.

Sideslash, Archeron Zarek.  In Obi's absence, Sideslash had been one of the few to proudly carry on the torch of We Are Legend and keep the team alive.  Obi's meeting with Sideslash went very well and he was impressed with what he saw.  Zarek had a lot to give to the team, and Obi looked forward to working alongside him.

Like Sideslash, Gearo was a member of WAL during Obi's time spent in outer space too.  Reading over some of the old files, he saw that Gearo's name many times appeared right next to Sideslash's in the reports.  That camaraderie would be very welcome on a team with mostly new faces.

The there was Kurrent, the living legend, one of the most iconic heroes of the past ten years.  Obi laughed a little a as he looked through Kurrent's profile.  One of the young Jedi's first missions as a superhero happened under this man's command, and to think that now, Obi was technically going to be his superior.  When the young hero first sat down to plot his plan of action for the new WAL, Kurrent hadn't even crossed his mind, but once he saw him on the news, he knew he had to at least offer him a position.  During their meeting, Obi had offered Kurrent a position as captain, knowing full well of his vast experience at the helm of some of the greatest superhero teams the world had ever known.  Kurrent declined this offer, however, preferring to instead be a normal member.  He wasn't in this for the fame or the notoriety, he already had all that, he was in it because like Obi, Kurrent had an innate need to help those who could not help themselves.  He needed to be a hero.  The Jedi valued what the Electirc Ace brought to the table and would count on him for advice and support.

One man who's priorities weren't as clear, however, was Noah Zeraz,  the Son of Thunder who had taken up the mantle of Closure.  Despite only meeting months ago, Obi and Closure already had an unusually strong bond, one forged in battle.  The two had gone on an incredible adventure in a strange alternate reality and it was there that the Jedi realized just how well they could work together.  Immediately after arriving home, Obi tracked Closure down and recruited him for the cause.  Though he had some ways to go, Closure had the true potential to become a full fledged legend.

There was also Nathan Moore, codenamed "Dupe."  When Obi arrived back on Earth he promptly set out to learn more about the current state of things.  He learned about all the new heroes who had made their mark during his absence.  So many new names, so many new power sets, but one man who truly caught the Jedi's attention was Dupe, former member of Andferne's Ice Dragons and duplicator  extraordinaire.  Obi knew that Dupe's powers and personality would fit perfectly on this new squad.

Scrolling down the list, the Jedi grinned as he recognized a much more familiar name, Warrior Guyver X.  If he joined, X would be one of the most senior members on the new WAL.  Honorable and always ready for battle with his incredible suit of bio armor and equally impressive  arsenal, Warrior Guyver X's experience with WAL would be a much a appreciated trait on this new team

Honor, like love, was rare these days.  Those who truly have love in their hearts are the most fitting for the superhero job.  That's why Angeni, warrior princess of Athens was such a perfect hero.  The love that Angeni had for her people was a mirror reflection of what Obi felt for his city.  This was one of the things that had drawn the Jedi to her and had made him fall in love with the princess in the span of only months. Obi would be honored to fight alongside her and her plethora of godly weapons.

Scrolling further down, the Jedi looked at the man who was possibly the most powerful potential member of the new WAL, Light Starks.  A Kryptonian hero, Light had truly emerged as a force to be reckoned with during Obi's absence.  Because of his immense power and his questionable past as member of a guild of assassins, the Jedi knew he'd have to keep a close eye on this man.  Regardless, Light was a great ally to have and he was a more-than-welcome addition to this new squad.

Next came a young man who the Jedi had grown very fond of.  When Obi first saw him, Muse was lying unconscious on the hot concrete of a parking lot entrance.  Hunted by a merciless mercenary who was trying to eradicate the threat that the young boy's powers could pose in the future, the boy had become a target simply because of his powers.  In truth, with the vast mastery over energy that his powers gave him, Muse could very well grow up to be an immense threat to this world.  That's precisely why Obi saw it fit to add him to this new team.  Like he had done with Darko before him, the Jedi felt that he could help this young boy down the right path, the path that led to the light, not to the dark.  One day, Muse would grow up to be a great and powerful hero and with his calm demeanor and cool attitude, he could very well become leader of We Are Legend some day.

Another young man with great promise was Old Lace.  Like Gearo and Sideslash, Old Lace had joined the team after Obi's departure. Because of this, Obi had very little knowledge of him apart from what was in his file, which also left a lot of questions unanswered.  What Obi did know, however, was what he saw when he first looked into the young boy's eyes; sincerity, courage, integrity, this young man had all the makings of a great hero.

Obi glanced up from his tablet and smiled at the blonde teenage girl who was sitting quietly in the corner playing with her new WAL Communicator.  Zariah Liafador, daughter of Ninjan Queen and former WAL member Zicarra Liafador.  Sha had sent Zariah to train with Obi and become a member of WAL.  Although she wasn't quite ready for active duty just yet, Obi knew that if she could steer clear from some the things that had derailed her mother's crime-fighting career, Zariah could one day light up the darkness with the best of them.

Looking back down at his tablet, a bright smile lit up Obi's face as he saw the last potential recruit who had been invited to today's meeting, Hotaru Uchiha, daughter of legendary WAL members NeVann Uchiha and Feral Nova.  Obi loved this girl like a little sister and was determined to always protect her.  This was why he had originally been so apprehensive about extending an invitation to the young ninja. However, after spending time with her and learning of her tireless training in the desert, Obi came to the conclusion that the little spitfire who he knew and loved was now becoming a warrior like her parents.  After a lot of thought, the Jedi decided that Hotaru truly belonged in WAL.  Although she was young, her experience with WAL was invaluable and she would be able to help some of the other younger members acclimate to their new lives of crime fighting.  Most importantly though, Hotaru would be safe in WAL, under the watchful eyes of her Tio Obi.

The sound of a throat clearing finally broke the Jedi's concentration and directed his attention towards the doorway.  Mister French stood there with the same disappointed expression he had given Obi whenever he had caught the Jedi sneaking around the kitchen after-hours. "Master Kenobi, the guests are getting impatient, they've been waiting for more than twenty minutes."

"What? Why didn't you tell me earlier?

Picking up his notebook, the young captain of WAL rushed across the hall, followed closely by Zariah and arrived to a packed meeting room. As he looked at all the people there present, he couldn't help but get a little choked up.  Here he had prepared one of those inspirational speeches and recited it a hundred times.  Chock full of timeless quotes and inspirational anecdotes, this was the kinda discourse that would make Barack Obama blush...but now, faced with the eager faces of all those people of immense power, he couldn't recall a thing. Instead he looked each one in the eyes and spoke from the heart.

"Sorry I'm late.  Um.. I'm supremely pleased and happy to see that every single one of you accepted my invitation. By now, most of you know that I was gone for a couple years, lost in space, doing my own thing.  When I came back to Earth, I was sad to find my home, the place that was always full of laughter and warmth, now empty and quiet.  I just...I couldn't handle it.  Many times throughout this process I've asked myself why exactly I feel such a strong desire to bring WAL back.  The truth is....the world needs us.  Deep down, I'm no Champion of Peace, I'm no Child of the Damned, and I don't belong on Omega Justice.  I am a Legend and together, We Are Legend.  If you're asking yourself why I targeted you, why I took the time to scout you and find you, the answer is simple.  Some of us are hurt, some of us are not as morally upright as we'd like to be, some of us are afflicted with feelings of great guilt, or sadness, or anger, but one thing I saw in each one of your eyes was desire; a desire to make this world a better place, a desire to be a hero, a desire to leave a lasting legacy of excellence for future generations.  No matter what you've gone thought, no matter what anyone else has told you, each one of you can be a legend, each one of you can be a hero."

Obi paused and looked at each person there in the eye.  This was the new We Are Legend.  This team was going to make a difference.  This team was going to change to the world.  The Jedi smiled once more, overcome with joy and a sense of belonging he had so sorely missed.

"So...What do you say, peeps? Let's go light up some darkness!"
