WAL: Hostile TakeoverNew York City, once considered the capital of the world, the gem of America's eastern seaboard, has been been reduced to rubble. The streets that were once packed with the businessmen and women who were each beacons of its economic and social prosperity are now empty. It is said that the true essence of a city lies in its citizens. Millions of those very citizens were condemned to watery graves in the depths of the Atlantic the day that NYC was sunk into the sea. Nevertheless, the spirit of New York City lives on in the lucky few who somehow survived the cataclysmic event.
Armed with a sharp mind and sharper technology, Vristov Damn used the C-Bomb to reverse time and raise the city back to to the surface, an event that was praised by few and reviled by many because of some of the unfortunate side effects that came with it. The deed was done, however, New York City had risen again and now sits empty. The re-population phase has started, spurred on by mass funding from the national government and the resilience of its people. With new hope in front of it, the city now awaits the glorious moment in which it can retake its spot amongst the elite capitals of world commerce, but, despite the optimism, one thing is clear: many challenges lie ahead.
Mighty Magneto, the man, the myth, the legend has been reborn. Backed by a legion of powerful, super-adaptive sentinels, the infamous supervillain is now more powerful than ever. Rumor has it that Mags isn't entirely satisfied with the piece of land given to him by the Tenebrasque In. Like the ambitious warlord he is, Mighty Mags wants more, he wants a new seat of power, a place that he can call his own, somewhere where he can leave his titanic imprint for future generations to marvel at.
Trouble has once again found its way to NYC's doorstep, and if the master of magnetism has his way, soon it'll be wishing it was still resting on the ocean floor.
