Sara crossed the busy New York streets, weaving in and out through cars that honked and beeped. She had just left another miserable day of work in the fashion industry, and was heading home to sink her hands into some chocolate ice cream straight from the tub. Sara had been working in fashion for several years now and was earning quite a good salary for a twenty five year old, she was close to living the life of every girl's dream, but it wasn't her own dream, it was her parents. Sara's dream land was no where near fashion, she wanted to spend eternity in Tinselworld, which was really called the World of Treehs, Tinselworld was a far from ordinary place, somewhere that Sara had been traveling to since she was eight years old. The only problem was no human was allowed to live in Treehs, unless born there with nowhere else to go, the people of Treehs always say humans only see it so they can be inspired to do good and advance in life, after seventeen years Sara still hasn't done anything important.

Sara sighed at the thought, only to realise she was already in the elevator heading up to her flat. The ice cream was so close she could taste it, Sara rubbed her hands slyly and licked her lips making the old lady she was standing next to to eye her suspiciously. The elevator dinged and Sara jumped out onto the twenty sixth floor, she ran down the hall pulling out her keys and accidentally slammed into her door, after brushing herself off she opened it up to apartment 206. Stepping in Sara threw her coat to one side and headed straight for the fridge, after grabbing a spoon, she pulled the door opened and reached in to pull out a tub of Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie, she immediately tucked in, savoring the flavour. She was starving and hadn't treated herself for months.

She crossed her open styled flat and headed toward the Television but half way crossing she saw something in the mirror. Cracks started to form all over it and suddenly little pieces of her living room started to fall, but not into her apartment, more and more fell away and Sara couldn't help but stare as eventually her living room fell away revealing a most wonderful place. A smile crept it's way upon Sara's face and she placed tub of ice cream with the spoon and cautiously stepped toward. She had been there a million times but this was the first time it had appeared in weeks and it was like seeing it for the first time all over again, something like that never really loses it's impact. She was one step away from walking through that watery veil into the land of her dreams when she suddenly remembered, running into her room she pulled open her top draw and ruffled through her underwear until she pulled free an engraved black stone, which shone without any light touching it's surface, such a magical thing, she had been keeping it safe for the King of Radikol and was sure it was time for it to go home.

Sara's foot went through first before a quick jump making her body pass all the way through, it was like going under a very cold shower, she shivered for a second but was warmed when she stepped out from the branches allowing her face to be bathed in sunlight. She stood in front of a single lamppost which was shining dimly in the sun, there was no electricity here things just ran off the land, a never ending supply, Sara had stepped into Tinsel, the first place she ever arrived in the World of Treehs, hence why she always called this place Tinselworld. Slowly Sara walked to the post and ran her fingers across the cold surface, buried in her own thoughts, too happy to speak or do anything. Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted by the clanging of armour and swords.

Walking around the lamppost she came into view of two knights fighting, instantly she knew who one of the men was, with his blonde locks flowing out from under his helmet and his family coat of arms scratched into the iron shoulder pad. His name was Saint Peter, Sara's best friend, the first person she ever met in Treehs, and an on off lover, he was so old and she so young, sometimes he had moral issues. She giggled and as he turned his head she gave a little wave, but it was followed by a gasp and a scream of pain. Whilst St. Peter's head was turned the other knight had lunged his sword into his chest, but that was cheating Sara thought. She was about to run to his side but remembered how that had agitated him before. The other knight stepped back in triumph holding his sword up in the air for a short while before thrusting it into the ground, he took off his helmet and rested it over the hilt of his sword, his face full of glee. It was not often people sparred with the Saint and won.

St. Peter fell to his knee's grasping his chest, pulling off his own helmet he roared into the sky before crashing onto the ground, his arm under his face, his fingers dug in under his ear and he ripped. The Saint was back on his knees, his torn face peeling in his hands, underneath was a new face. St. Peter kept tearing, ridding himself of his old self, this was why he was so old, being an Igorak each time he died he simply tore off a new layer. Soon his face was completely new, the old one laying on the floor, underneath The Saints scalp Sara could see slightly that his new hair would be brown, Peter reached behind himself to the back of his neck and just like before dug his fingers in deep and ripped, out from under his long blonde locks fell a brown ponytail. Sara had to say she was preferring the new him already.

By now the other knight was sitting on a chair watching the transformation, it wasn't everyday you saw an Igorak change face. St Peter was now tearing a new body as he ripped down from the neck his knights armour fell away with him, with this new body came a new suit, he wore a dark green waist coat, with matching tie, a white shirt and a smart black knee length coat, that matched his formal trousers and dark, dragonhide shoes. His old self lying in tatters on the ground, the other knight stood, smile on face, it was mandatory for the sparring to shake hands after battle. He put out his hand and St. Peter, who was still on his knee's, pulled from his inside coat pocket an old double barreled pistol and fired. This was not normal nor was it acceptable, but in cases of cheating like this it was allowed, any person sparring who had been cheated causing them to loose was allowed to kill the cheat however he saw fit, as long as it was not pursued after they were even.

"Cheating is not acceptable Carlsbourg," St. Peter said standing ad brushing off the dirt from his clothes, "you should know that" and the two watched as Carlsbourg's body fell and shattered as soon as it hit his chair. Like St. Peter, Carlsbourg was essentially immortal, as long as he was never beheaded. Carlsbourg was of the Wonnun species, whose greatest defenses were shattering when killed, that way they could not be beheaded without a fighting chance, and death teleporting, so they would wake up somewhere safe and familiar once killed.

Sara ran over and jumped on St. Peter, her arms wrapping around him in a hug as she kissed him all over. Peter caught her and smiled, she could tell how he missed her, the way he kissed back was fierce and passionate. It felt like forever since they had last met. Sara brushed her hand through his new shiny, brown, ponytail. "Sorry about that, by the way" she said once she stopped kissing him, "what?" he asked holding her tightly around the waist, "you know" she said pointing at is new face, he laughed and simply said "don't worry, do you like it?" she kissed him once more, "oh yes" and he smiled at her.

Together they made it to the city of Mirage, a mile north from Tinsel, dead in the middle was Treehs biggest transport castle, a huge fortress made purely of mirrors, ruled by the Queen of Mirage, Miriam Merryworth. She had an icy personality but deep down she knew how to do the right thing and was a very nice person, she had saved Sara's life once, repaying a life debt she she owed to her. The Queen has recently spent most of her days up in the highest part of the castle in her own quarters. Once arriving in the Fortress of Mirage they had to go separate ways, St. Peter to the Serandipidous Deserts, whilst Sara was going to the Kingdom of Radikol to give back the stone which was rightfully the kings. St. Peter asked if she wanted to go with him but however tempting that was she had to give the stone back to the young king. So after setting their destinations, and St. Peter pulling from his jacket a long, woolly, tartan scarf, which he wrapped around his neck and mouth, as well as a pink umbrella, they parted ways.
