It has been a long time coming. The two had known each other for months now, and they had grown to have strong bonds, from common ground. But there was a loaming arch that hung over their heads. Who was better? Who was more powerful? Each time the topic came up, they would spend hours debating, and fighting over who would win in a fight until finally the time came.
As the sun, set on the monument, it’s eyes began to glow it’s famous red glow. The Lincoln Memorial, shone it’s majesty towards the waters that were only forty feet away. Titan was late already, a sure sign that he was unsure about the battle. Slight grew cocky about winning as he knew it would be the only option for him, seeing as how he had boasted so much. It was very calm in the most powerful city in the world. Right down the street, the President of the slept, and congress debated about lame duck sessions.
His supremely powerful friend still hadn’t shown up. He grew tired of waiting and was about to leave, if it were not for the peculiar wind that blew. It was intense for three seconds, and then subsided. It left a stench in the air, that was unlike any other. It smelled of hotdogs and chilly fries. The smell just reminded him of the good old days when he was just a normal person, and could do whatever he wanted. Back then, he could eat whatever he wanted, and get away with gaining a couple pounds. Now it was an apple a day, along with grilled chicken, and tofu…Back to the subject…
Slight had never dealt with an opponent such as Cosmic Titan. His skills were based in the strength, and speed. His power set was much different from the ones he’d faced before, and he knew he would have to pull out a lot of stops in order to take victory. The only problem in the situation was, CS’s super speed. He’d seen, how fast he moved through the air. Not that he was threatened, but more worried that he wouldn’t be able to keep up with the speedster. The wind came again, and this time it was a blur of colors that came along with it. His friend and foe had arrived.
