Goliath had only recently took the new form, it had been only less than a single Earth year since the awakening. The creature roamed aimlessly through the stars investigating planets and their ecosystem. The native species of the planet would hide wherever possible from Goliath, the monster's footsteps shook their fragile planets, even going as far to split a planet in two. All Goliath knew, or could know, was lonesomeness. Born with no other species, the child was forced to wander the rims alone, the only guidance was his own.

Centuries passed and yet he still wandered, and they still hid. Madness was pressed onto Goliath, his mind knew nothing yet, not even his appearance; the only thing he did know was the solar systems. On his travels he longed to find some kind of knowledge of the universe, he longed to bring the systems together into an intergalactic beauty. Looking into the stars at night and seeing a civilization connected by links, that and a species is all that he wanted. Though this soon changed when the civilizations stopped hiding.

After 3000 years of intergalactic travel on the primitive depths of space, he approached farther in. As soon as his two feet touched the surface of a planet, armies fell upon him. Instinct said to scream as it would for anyone with their first encounter to violence, but instead of just his own cry of terror, their cries prevailed as a beam shot from Goliath's jaws. Their army was nothing but ash that lifted away in the wind leaving Goliath's innocent mind traumatized, yet interested. The accident led to him looking inside himself for answers, for 3 millenniums he was alone and simply walked and flew but he had just wiped out an army with a single scream. Planets died, and along with the planets Goliath's lust grew. Soon after destroying planets at a whim he had also discovered a way to engage with the stars, devour them whole, leaving the galaxy dark and cold with all life dwindled away.

Advanced planets had communication, their communication to other planets told of The Devourer and his threats, some saw this as an apocalypse while others cherished it as a religion. On various planets on the borders of the universe itself shrines were erected of him, the dominant species of the planets would work day and night to get a shrine built in hopes of keeping Goliath away, it worked most of the time if they were loyal.

Soon after his conquests Goliath ventured further into the stars until he came upon a galaxy referred to as the "Milky Way". The planets were uninhabited as he explored the galaxy until coming upon Earth, The Devourer experienced dinosaurs, he sought them as his family, their appearances were nearly the same as his own and they all accepted him for the most part; meanwhile on the outer rims the shrines were torn down after years with not a single sign of Goliath. Once the dinosaurs had evolved and their forms changed they started to shed their skin of a species of his, being deceived and cheated Goliath froze the planet from it's own atmosphere. The ice age had struck Earth by his breath, he could have made the planet rubble but he felt a slight sense of forgiveness, only enough to let them suffer the cold. From that day Goliath held a grudge against the puny planet, Goliath's bloodlust was matured into a vile hate. He wasn't just a lonesome child wandering the breaches for a contact with life, he had seen life and all it did was attempt to take his, so the only logical step left was to take their life away...

Right?
