"S.P.Q.R."
There was a crackle in the air as the portal opened above Washington. A small portal, but a strong one nonetheless. The armored man flew through, his Legion behind him. Quickly and efficiently, the Embassy was constructed around the portal. Part diplomatic outpost, part unassailable fortress, the large floating structure boasted the red and gold colors of Roma Maxima. The Legion's Eagle adorned the top, and the Roman standards lined the walls. Quickly, like so many others built before it, the powerful technology integrated into it quickly adapted the surrounding energy field for use as a power source. Soon, political talks could begin.
THE ENTRY HALL
A brilliant room, adorned with statues of Roman heroes and gods, greets any visitors that enter the building. Doing so unescorted, however, will incur the wrath of the Praetorian Guard, and they will -ahem- dispose of any intruders with frightening efficiency. Nonetheless, it is a sight to behold.
THE BARRACKS
The living quarters of the Praetorian Guard currently stationed at the Embassy, it contains all of the highly advanced weapons of the Romans, including their battlesuits.
THE TRAINING CENTER
High-tech room where the Praetorians and the Emperor keep in shape for battle. Can project semi-solid holograms for battle practice.
THE THRONE ROOM
The Emperor can usually be found in the throne room, though its function is mostly a ceremonial one. It can be adapted to a large table to hold meetings, or a more relaxing lounge style area for convening and meeting together.
ADDITIONAL DEFENSES
The same magic "interference" technology that is in the Roman Armor is also present in the building. It cannot be teleported into or teleported away by magical means.
The constantly shifting architecture makes it difficult to locate a point of entry. There are motion detectors and security viewcams scattered throughout the structure.
The portal room is heavily guarded at all times. At the first sign of intrusion, the portal is closed.
