Chapter One - Keep Calm
"Y'know we don't have to stay here." His compulsive need for rebellion knew no boundaries. And like a true brother, he pressured his younger sister into following his footsteps. "Kenneth, our pretentious prince threw this party. Don't you think he needs all the support he can get?" She knew of Noah and his many troubles; very much willing to support the boy if he admitted to the aforementioned, but like his father the prince was incredibly stubborn.
"He honestly believes himself pure. Leading that pathetic cover known as Addams Corp." He adjusted his favorite bow tie, strangely humored by his nephew's current course of action. "I mean he's sleeping with our favorite little bimbo. And you see where that went." His thirst for her blood was truly transparent, but the consequences outweighed the goodness that'd sprout from her demise. Like any well versed tactician, he'd wait till the time was right. As for Annabelle, well her hatred could not be chained.
"Why do you act so tame? Clarice. I'm sorry...", she exaggeratedly coughed, "....the Queen has ears everywhere. It's not like she's unaware of our absolute disdain." She knew nothing of her brother's previous debacle with the brash brunette, it's why she's so willing to talk without hesitance. "All you men were fooled by her fake innocence, amazing rack, and her ability to track Jayden Knightfall." She spoke the truth. She spoke the goddamn truth. No one ever took her perspective on Clarice into deep consideration. One person did and she ended up dead.
"We should leave. Leave this pale imitation of our parties from the olden days. The days when Nikolai lived and our precious Alderamin was permitted in this household--" He grabbed her wrist with immense intensity, snarling as his dearest Anna reopened old wounds. Sometimes he wondered why she couldn't just shut up and follow his commands. "I might have made mistakes, but for now we need her alive. Sadly, this woman holds all the cards. We must allow it. Now I need you to remain calm", he leaned inward, telepathically whispering to his hot headed sister, "Big brother's got everything under control." Every family has it's secrets. Every family has stories best left unsaid.
