@nordok: Brainwashed!
The Cosmic Shores of Illea (CVnU Restricted Location)
@mr__mercury: This was one heck of a fun thread.
@mr__mercury: This was one heck of a fun thread.
Was? I don't see it broken :O
@pyrogram: Well we moved onto different characters. Who knows, we might come back!
@strigidae_22: I loved reading all of this stuff lol
@schlampe: You should attack and bring Cormac as your personal bodyguard :P
@strigidae_22: You're just lucky you've got me under arrest.
@pyrogram: Why would I attack? I'm not Imperium anymore.
@pyrogram: If that's your thinking, you're clearly clueless with regards to the situation(s).
@schlampe: That's true, that's true. You should'a brought Cormac along in the first place! You'd not be in any of this mess.
I don't even know where Cormac is. I think he's still stick on the Imperium ship...In theory XP
Hmm...you may have a point. I am looking for a new Destructor...do you have a current resume on you? ;)
@strigidae_22: Why? Because your slaves did it!? You RACIST!
@strigidae_22: Woah. I'm....not sure how to react to that. Am I...sorry?
Whenever you speak about your past (like with the drug thing, and everything, really), you talk like an old person. That's another reason you threw me for a good while.
@strigidae_22: It's not too bad if she got paid, I'm thinking.
Yes, machines do it now. This is why you're old.
And because things like ^.
@schlampe: Yeppers. Nickle a pound. They were sharecroppers, when the cotton came in the whole family would go out and pick everything they could pick from dawn to dark, get their money, sleep, do it again the next day. She only went to school about four months a year because of the harvests and planting seasons.
:-P
@strigidae_22: I'd hate that schooling situation. But I guess there are ways around it, and cost-benefit and stuff.
@strigidae_22: That's what I was getting at! But in the way of cost-benefit! Broad terms!
"Oh please, autopsy," Vel'aaru fumed. Thoughts raced through her brain so quickly she was having difficulty sorting them all. Why was the woman so confident that energy manipulation would have no affect? What defenses did she have? Why was she even here? What did they want to know? Did Liberty even know she had been captured?
...If so, would the woman come to save her?
The illian's mind began to go through equations. She had been educated in more than just Void techniques (even if those were what she was best at) and after having a short time to refresh her memory on her home planet she may even be able to work up a worthwhile hypnotism. She was utterly miserable with other sorts of energy but, maybe, if she could start to extend her personal field she could pick the strange woman apart like legs from a spider.
She focused, working out two simultaneous equations. The first created a field just in front of her, a swirling invisible mass that, while it was a very simple technique, maybe be able to daze, confuse, or even hypnotize anyone who looked directly at her. It likely wouldn't work -- but it was worth a shot.
The second was an extension of her own Void Armor, tendrils of invisible energy slowly crawling forth, inching towards the strange Imperium woman. It was something illians simply did not do, something not even Vel had done except for on that old Imperium shuttle, when Malicia had first come for her. To extend one's Void field was silly and unnecessary -- but if she could just wrap the other woman in it, if she could extend it far enough to reach, maybe....
...But it was so hard....
With a series of sounds too sickening for adequate description, the Necrommander slowly reformed from the portions of him that were left by Vel’s devastating Void attack. After several moments of bone reconstituting and being stitched together by pallid flesh, the Deathless One once more stood before Vel, pulling his cloak about his decaying frame. “An impressive display of power, little one; if I had functioning nerves, I don’t doubt that it would have been a most excruciating demise. Unfortunately, I live and die at the will of the Ancient One, not you.”
Turning his attention to the newly arrived Mi'ane, he nodded cordially. “She is all yours. If there is anything you require, I will be on the bridge. I think it would be prudent if we exited Ilean space as expeditiously as possible.”
@velaaru_of_illea: ( i love your sci fi its very beautiful!)
