In the city of Maze, there is a King whom prides himself on logical puzzles and one day had the most ingenious idea. You see he enjoyed the company only of other intellectuals and figured out a way to weed out the rest. An elaborate Labyrinth was designed increasing in difficulty as closer towards the castle one did gain. Treacherous traps would included, along with contraptions to seek and cause harm to anything in it's path. The maintenance of this passage system was automated as well, for the King was a master engineer. Some traversing have turned back after realizing that the walls periodically shift. The airway above the labyrinth and city protected by a force-field, avoiding any flyers to attack.
The King stands watching as those whom wish to prove themselves venture into the labyrinth.

The streets of Maze as enigmatic as the adventure that lead up to it's entrance, all citizens serving an intellectual purpose be it towards safety, hygiene, engineering, medicine, energy, or legislative. Each sorted into communities of use so as to help one another towards their goal. A self sufficient society able to grow technologically, intellectually, and financially by keeping those lacking the mental capacity out.
