An ancient creed said to predate all modern religions, the Order of Oblivion has existed since the beginning of civilization itself, they were originally isolated, centered around Egypt and the Middle East, specifically Israel and Saudi Arabia, and were notoriously known throughout of supernatural circles as a clan of murderous assassins, working for whoever could pay the highest price or simply killing rival clans. As a whole, the order has assumed an aggressive disposition, yet, they would take no further contracts on a victim who bested their assassins, yet in one instance, at the dawn of modern Islamism, a high-ranking assassin was assassinated during a religious time of peace by an unknown group of supernatural warriors, these warriors, were found to be werewolves. The clan pursued the murder with unparalleled fervor and systemically tortured and slaughtered an entire pack of wolves in retribution, leading to a further escalation by other werewolf packs until a 100 year war ravaged both orders. In the end, The Order of Oblivion triumphed, but in doing so, garnered a vicious hate and loathing for all things supernatural, both vampire, werewolf, and other supernatural creatures without prejudice.
Perhaps the most infamous yet secretive sect of the Order, the Unsung are traditionally clad in black garments, and carry out assassinations upon specific targets of interest. They are well known for their loud assassinations in the early centuries, the fact that Unsung performed their assassination in full view of the public, often in broad daylight, gave them the reputation assigned to them as fearful killers worthy of respect and admiration, as well as fear, they are all trained in ways to combat the supernatural from a young age, each carrying specific silver weaponry to combat werewolves, weapons embellished in dark magic to combat vampires and some of the more religious (and traditional) members carry holy water, other say such a weapon is useless, although this differs from vampire to vampire. Their armor is made of an interwoven fabric of Kevlar and drenched in Garlic, making a vampire reluctant to bite. Some of them are even able to manipulate the shadows, thus being almost undetectable. Each member of the Unsung carry a symbolic wooden stake, a homage to the first kind of slayer over 1000 years ago.
A less occult section of the Order, the Vagabonds are the nimble, rapid response unit of the Creed and are tasked with defending the numerous desert bases against foreign attackers who wish to harm. The faction is made up of members from both the Unsung and even the Tainted, they are retired assassins, and other elites who live to tell many tales. They carry a silver sword as standard, the homage stake, and some possess more orthodox weaponry like guns, grenades etc.. They are highly trained, despite their age. Many of them possess the exotic ability of earth manipulation, although Hondo (Quietus) is the greatest earth bender of the order in the modern era, many of them are competent. They can travel the distance of a mile quicker than a car via turning sand into a type of conveyor belt, increasing their rapid response times.
The Tainted are warriors whom have been cursed (or bitten) by supernatural means. They are in living limbo, having had their very essence "paused" in existence by dark magic to avert their damned souls from being turned into a werewolf or a vampire, and instead, are forced to reside upon the earth for the rest of time, carrying out the nastiest killings of the entire order not unlike a terrorist militia. They are not highly skilled, and simply brandish fully automatic AK-47's and other Middle Eastern modern weaponry stolen from American bases in Iraq, Afghanistan, and from more traditional Islamic terror groups. Nearly each member of the tainted had their tongue cut out, and are unable to speak. They murder and pillage and do things which have made them synonymous with terror. They are the brute force of the Order of Oblivion.
Located deep within Egypt, simply named, "The Sanctum" is home to the leaders of the Order, and house the armory against the supernatural and other historical items. Elders of the clan still orchestrate the assassins and warriors movements from the inner Sanctum, but more and more Unsung have been dispatched throughout the world, killing the supernatural with or without sanction or contracts. Many of the clan's former "rules of engagement" -- such as the prohibition against hunting an opponent who's already bested another Unsung -- have been discarded. To those outside the clan, it appears as if the Order of Oblivion is running rampant.
- This is a clan to directly oppose the current supernatural activity: Werewolves, vampires, all of that.
- The Temple is located in Egypt, and can easily be found with common knowledge from the locals.
- Anyone can join, but this was mainly made to help me center my activity and motivation. But if anybody wanted to join, just send me a PM, or not, just go ahead and make anyone. Thanks for reading, and all rules as standard apply :)
