(No, I'm not a crazy man. The explanation for Stand is still the same as it was on the source material, because I think JJBA had a great and innovative idea that is still better than most of the bs on animes nowadays. And yes, it IS bizarre... because JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.)
After being struck by a golden arrow instead of his brother, Bernard Worlov developed a Stand of his own, naming it Manowar. But what is a Stand? That's a doubt frequently passing through many heads. No, Bernard is no monster. He's an average teenager with an athletic physique due to basketball and healthy habits ONLY in contrary of popular belief, which would state he has powers of his own.
A Stand is a physical manifestation (an avatar, if you will) of its user's vital energy. In other words, those struck by the special arrow who possess inhuman strength of spirit will develop a Stand, also every descendant of the user will gain a Stand of their own.
Each user is only capable of having one Stand, which usually has a singular power, which can branch into many secondary abilities. The strength might favor an user rather than the other, yet it's the wit that usually decides battles. As a side note, no, non-users of the Stand CANNOT see a Stand, it will act as a ghost to them, although there are other forms to sense it. But how? Use your creativity ;)
Manowar:
Manowar is a Stand of amazing stats:
- Power: A - Meaning it exerts great power with its skills as well as brute force.
- Speed: B - Meaning its speed is above that of a normal human, yet below that of a superhuman. It also measures the Stand's agility.
- Range: B - Meaning the Stand can only manifest and operate in a range of 50 meters, also considering its attacks can only reach a total of 50 meters.
- Durability: B - Meaning the endurance of the Stand is above human, yet below superhuman, hence its slightly high susceptibility to enemy attacks.
- Precision: A - Meaning its accuracy and the influence of its powers is excellent.
- Potential: A - Meaning there are still many techniques to be learnt by the user.
Taking form of a Herculean, ultramarine dragon, it bestows Bers with the ability of Cryo-Phasing, in other words, a mix betwixt intangibility and cryokinesis. By sucking the energy of anything that goes through it, the Stand is able to freeze even the quickest punches as they were nothing. In contrary of popular assumptions, it does have the adroitness to distinguish phasing from freezing, thus being able to trespass barriers without enemies realizing due to leaving no ice trail behind. It also commands which parts of its body shall turn intangible and which may not.
Bernard hasn't learned many techniques yet, but he uses the following:
- Master of the Wind: By lowering the temperature of the air passing through it, triggering the droplets of water to freeze as well, and making it conflict with the warmer temperatures outside, Manowar is able to create a blinding veil of mist around itself (extending to almost 50 meters).
- Hail and Freeze: Almost the same process as the posterior technique, only that this time it gathers a greater amount of water in petite beads, bigger than those carried by air, but smaller than a rain droplet. Freezing them into keen-edged projectiles, fired by his superior strength and speed. A few hits won't damage enough, but being consecutively hit can cause much pain. It also has a better effect when facing many enemies in small areas.
