So you guys got over it already?

The Ult life RPG is gone and i haven't seen much ult_ activity O_o 
 
I think the reason it's bombing is because everyone just picked their places and that was it. Teams already and didn't let things develop on their own. Nothing wrong with forming teams but we should of let the ult_ universe marinate for a second first before deciding on long terms things.
 
Team? Look is not hard to get into a team. Bob told me he wanted me on his team from the beginning. However instead what I did was make a connection to it by adding some history between the characters and some conflict so that there is a set purpose between us but at the same time I had a chance to play with others and see where things go.  If I wanted to join Bob's team the character by having that little background history between him and Bob he would be able to find him and join. 
 
In other words: we need more character interaction. Weather you want to kill the other, or you bump into him and befriend them or maybe even you met his character's real self in a mall or something. But more character development is key to make this work. That way we create their purpose, their allies and/or rivalry in a more solid matter instead of just teaming just for the heck of it. :)

Plus there was just a lot of confusion and trying to just make your character different. Most, if not all of us have alts, and those alts sort of spilled over into the Ultimate universe, even if they were freshly created. The feeling of. this is just a place for alternate accounts took over...For me at least. 

For me personally i'm just waiting for Andy to get back so we could start a team rpg :P 

I'm still up for it. I just had trouble connecting with the other characters without forcing it.

I dont really think its dead so to speak. Its out there, anyone can rustle up a group of friends via pm and start something whenever they want a change from their normal character(s). All it ever takes is one good idea and it could be off and running again :)

I'd be willing to use my Ults…just happened to be at a bad time when I was busy. :P

The Ultimate universe failed for one good reason, it's not that different from the normal Vine universe. People are still the same alignment, same power set, and same teams. Marvel enacted the Ultimate Universe because after such a long history, they feared that new readers would be intimidated from it all and never join in. So they rebooted it. The Vine doesn't really need that, things remain pretty consistent around here. So that is why the Ultimate idea isn't doing too well.

I think this is a problem with the vine itself. No one really interacts as much as they use to, everything is extremely dead and slow. Barely any big cannons ...I dont mind, im starting to dislike canons anyway,but the actually made the vine fun for some.

Dawing and myslef do plan on using are ults to finish an rpg i started awhile abck. Its just taking some time lol
