RPG for those stated, no others.

Near Seattle, Washington

A government scientist strode down a sterile white hall towards a large concrete and iron door . He wore a white trench coat, jeans, and a buttoned-up shirt. He had glasses on his face, and held a notebook under his left arm. As he made his way through the hall he passed several other doors, all heavily fortified and with multiple locks to accommodate the dangerous projects within. As the scientist reached his intended door, he adjusted his glasses and took a deep breath. The door had a finger-print scanner which he quickly dealt with. Next was a retinal scanner, which forced him to crane his neck a little. The last was a verbal command, which he had practiced mentally several times before reaching the room.

"Doctor Adleus Mark. Open cell #13, release Test Subject #1702; Codename: Annihilation."

"Yes, Doctor Mark," an automated voice responded in a woman's tone.

Several locks immediately opened, while others disengaged. Before he knew it, Adleus was watching the door slide slowly open, revealing a white room. At the center was a man sitting on the floor with his hands wrapped around his legs. He wore an all white T-shirt and pants, with no shoes. There was a distinctive black collar on his neck as well. Mark passed over the threshold and the door closed quietly behind him.

"Hello, #1702. I'm Doctor Mark. I'm here to  assess your abilities."

The man on the floor didn't turn to look at Adleus, or even attempt to move in discomfort. He kept his eyes trained on the floor, his gaze melting away into nothingness.  It was as if Adleus didn't exist.

Adleus continued, even without the cooperation of the patient. "Well, I'm going to lead you to a practice room so we can get that collar off of you."

The doctor offered his hand to the man, which prompted a response.

"I'd rather not," he said in a low tone.

Adleus retracted his hand. "You'll come or I'll call the guards," he said coldly.

"Call them," Annihilation responded, looking up into Adleus's eyes. He reached for his collar, which fell off by the slight tug. The patient stood up, stretching his legs, much to Adleus's horror. He reached in his mouth and pulled out a pin.

"I'm not stupid," he said, throwing the pin aside. "Just because I turn into a hulking monster doesn't mean I don't have certain talents Doctor Mark. And instead of calling me #1702, I'd appreciate Clarence."

Clarence pushed Adleus, shoving him into the door. "Now you're going to open it, and I'm going to walk out of here a free man. You got that?"

Adleus shook his head, perspiration starting to form on his brow. "I'm sorry, but escaping a government facility won't allow you to be a free man. This is America. What do you think Americans do here? Walk out of jail?"

Clarence smirked. "You don't want to go after me, Doctor. Open the door."

Adleus nodded, turning and initiating the unlock sequence. The door slid open.

Clarence exited, and pushed Adleus back into the room. "Have fun in the box. Write something in that diary of yours," he said, pointing towards the notebook under the Doctor's arm. Before he could respond, Adleus was locked in the room...

And Annihilation was free.

Eagle Eye, Earth's Orbit

"BREAKING NEWS! Red Monster Attacks Seattle!"  A banner read, flashing underneath CNN reporter Robert Duvalle.

The reporter stood in a city street with fires raging behind him. Various local police and fire departments had been dispatched and were rescuing residents from the flames. Even despite the chaos so close behind him, Robert kept a blank, almost non-worried demeanor. "Here in downtown Seattle, a red beast was confronted by several police officers and military forces from a nearby base. Here on this street he fought through them, decimating vehicles and buildings in his wake. Eye-witnesses report that the beast is very human-like in nature, standing almost eight feet tall, but seems devil-like in nature. As of now, officials are not commenting on the beast's unexplained appearance. Now to Darrell, who is reporting a few blocks over, where the creature is still in a fight with military forces and aircraft no-.

The transmission ended, revealing the face of a five-star general. The elder, battle-hardened man looked at Mark with a cold gaze, as if sizing-up the assassin and leader of Fox Company. He adjusted a little in his seat, and then tapped the desk in front of him.  "So, our military forces are unable to deal with our own creation. They're getting decimated out there. And, as much as I wouldn't like to reveal your force more publicly than it has to be, we need you to stop Annihilation. I consider him an international threat, not an internal one. Other world leaders agree, and are forcing the President to make a choice. Either capture and lock away Annihilation, or valuable friendships will be lost. That's where you will step in."

Mark, whose arms were crossed as he stood looking at the hologram of the general, rubbed his chin. He pondered the mission, knowing full-well it would be a top priority for Fox Company with our without his decision. After all, the organization had been funded in part by the United States, and not accepting their plea would be a slap in the face. However, so public a stand-off would further reveal Fox Company's true goals in the world. Up until this point, the force had kept relatively secret. Jeopardizing that one advantage could be polarizing. Mark found himself in a predicament, a catch-twenty-two per say. After a long moment of silence, he relented from his internal thoughts.

"Yes, General. I'll personally see to it Annihilation is dealt with. I also have the perfect person in mind, a new member to the ranks called Surkit. The two of us should be able to handle this."

"Two of you?" The general asked, appalled. "I have hundreds of soldiers there who cannot even make a mark on this thing!"

"We'll be able to take care of this. Trust me," Mark assured. Resting his hands on the edge of the table that housed the hologram.

"Well alright, but Mark?"

"Yes?"

"Lethal force has been granted. Any means necessary."

Then the transmission cut, and Mark was left alone in the center of the control center of Eagle Eye. He immediately typed in a few choice numbers into a keyboard-like hologram in front of him, and sent a transmission to Surkit. "Meet me in Seattle, behind the military ranks there. We need to deal with the threat there, and I want to see you field tested." Then he left the control center, and walked towards his room where his belongings were. This included his compound bow, scimitars, guns, and darts. Basically everything he would need for the task at hand. Annihilation did look like a big-fellow after all.  As he walked along the path, the Fox Company leader thought to himself. Well, Surkit is capable. I guess he'll do, considering everyone else is busy handling their own missions. It'll be a little bonding time for the both of us...

"what hell did I tell you about pushing in Gotham, Troll?" The living battery questions his prey, standing at six foot even, wearing his custom black and blue leather jacket, black pants and leather gloves the clouds drift over a crescent moon in Gotham, the streets run rampant with the roaches that only show their faces in the darkest hour. "I -I ain't sellin' drugs, just havin a chat is all mate!" The small, stinking man says in a quivering voice, his hands pressed against the city's avengers' forearms as he hangs several feet above the ground at eye level. "I don't wanna hear that bull. You been catchng planes in and out of Gotham for the past 2 months, you think I wouldn't notice the guy who sold xencellum laced dope to kids" His grips tightens, the breath squeezing out of his captives throat like a tube of toothpaste "Your lucky. Tonight I'm in a good mood. get your ass on the first plane back to south africa, and if I even see you look back, you'll be cooked in the center of town on a cross"

He drops the deviant, inhaling like a newborn and crying nearly as loud. Troll looks up with tears in his eyes, in shock so badly knowing he came within inches of death, he nods frantically and shuffles away holding his throat, a trail of urine being left in his wake. Next to the alleys' exit,a stack of televisions in a store window all show a unified dark image of a reddish ape man terrorizing a city stomping on cars like they were tin cans, tossing bodies like they were nothing more than over-sized dolls. Soldiers try with no avail to contain the situation and instill order.

The comm in Bishop's mask chirps before going through on it's own. "Meet me in Seattle, behind the military ranks there. We need to deal with the threat there, and I want to see you field tested." His new partner states in a stone cold tone. He hadn't known him that well, but knew that if he was going to be on Fox Company he'd have to prove his worth to Mark for the respect of the rest of these elite killers and spies. "I'll be there in-" he looks at troll as he still struggles to catch his breath, his shoulders sunken low, ashamed of his own cowardice. "20 minutes" He clicks off the communicator and grabs the pale little man by his collar efortlessly pulling him back up to his line of vision, His demeanor less aloof than before, seeming more focused, his vibe giving off a no games attitude "You wanna be able to step into the states without getting your skin flayed? "I just wanna get the bloody well away from you!"He says in a terrified and exhausted south african accent. " Then call you weasel assistant and get that tin jet of your fired up- you're takin' me to seattle"

The plane cruises to a stop atop the helipad of a building not too far from the ensuing carnage. Panicked screams and the sound of gun fire can be heard even from here. The deafening sound wave from an explosion goes off, followed quickly by a deep, rock like laughter only the insane could possess. The plane takes off nearly as quick as it landed. Surkit looks down some 30 stories, his black boot set atop the ledge as he gazes downward to a dark empty alley . He pushes in his mask comm with a click "Mark. this is Surkit. E.T.A. 20 seconds."

he Backs up as the comm bleeps out. taking a long stride, his legs pound the gravel covered rooftop, as he leaps out and downward. The force of the impact is absorbed into his being, giving him the fuel necessary to even attempt taking on this creature. He pushes through a sea of tortured faces, until working his way to the military perimeter blocking off several blocks. Mark stands with his hands on his hips, his back strapped up with various weapons for both ranged and close combat, surkit knew immediately his first mission would be a serious one

He gives him a nod of respect "I'm ready whenever you are.." He looks around the area seeing dots of civillians every where. "So, you're the vet here, what's the game plan. alot of faces around. I'm not seeing any option but to go at this thing head on. " He says cracking his knuckles. He was curious what his new partner had in mind to take the behemoth down and not risk exposure at the same time.

Seattle, Washington

Clarence sighed, forcing himself past the empty alley towards a dumpster. He was barefoot, his clothes torn and raggedy. As it had turned out, the good 'ole doc hadn't been wrong. When his escape was made obvious, several alarms had rung. He had been forced to turn into his hulking alter-ego and escaped the bowels of the U.S. secret research base. When he was sure all the threats had been handled, Clarence had slipped into a tunnel which had lead into a sewer system. He had crawled through the musty, dirty place until a opening had appeared. A sensation of hope had reached his soul for a single moment, but had dissipated when he exited the sewer. You wouldn't have believed the look on his face when he appeared in the middle of a busy street, on his hands and knees, half naked.

Since that moment, he had been traveling through alleys, passing off as a simple homeless man. A dirty, smelly, raggedy homeless man. "Couldn't get worse," he muttered, scrummaging through a garbage can for clothes. The wet floor, as it had just rained, ensured that his feet were cold, and his need for clothes more important. The fugitive searched into the depths of the dumpster and discovered a dirty, stained T-shirt, pants, and some slip-on sandals. He gratefully applied these articles onto himself, and continued on his way, cautiously walking towards the edge of the city. When he came out onto a major road however, Clarence was surprised to see several police cars parked nearby. The officers noticed him quickly, and reacted.

"Hold it right there!"

Clarence ducked into another alleyway, this time focusing on escaping his pursuers. He ran t the other end of it, but stopped dead when a bullet passed by his head. "I told you to stop!" the same officer said.

Clarence rose his arms, and slowly turned around, facing several officers who were slowly inching towards him. The eight men looked undecided about him, but he could tell they were searching for someone. Someone that the government had probably said was a wanted fugitive. And coincidentally, that person probably looked exactly like Clarence.   One of the officers showed a picture to another, and they both nodded. Clarence swore he heard: "Yeah, that's him."

The officers closed in quickly, taking their weapons off of safety, and pointing them decisively at their prey.  "Sir," a closer officer said. "You're under arrest by the Seattle Police Department. Anything you say can and wi-"

"You don't want to arrest me. And I don't want to hurt you."

"What?"

"I don't want to hurt you," Clarence said, lowering his arms.

"Is that a threat?" another officer asked. He pulled out his taser. "I got something for you!"

The man pulled the trigger, and its wires collided with Clarence's skin. Instead of convulsing in pain however, he began to change. His body began to grow, muscles began to form, and he roared painfully. The transformation was always mind-altering, as it was his body literally extending its limits and then forming new ones. His body also began to turn shades of red until it rested on a dark red as Clarence stopped growing The eight-foot looking monster snapped at the officer, pulling the taser's wire towards him. The police officer jerked forward, and with his other hand Annihilation swatted him into a wall. The man slid down the wall, collapsing into a pile of trash. The bullets rained on him in response, to no effect. They bounced of Annihilation's skin without a single mark.

One of the officers quickly called in: "We got a super! Big threat. Call the mili-"

His voice cut-off as Annihilation grabbed him by his leg, and swung him into the air. The Golden-eyed Monster growled, scaring off the other officers.

"I warned you!" he said, charging in the opposite direction, away from the rest of the officers.   Damnit, he thought. They'll have not only the police, but military here. So much for a easy escape.

Seattle

Mark stood among barricaded soldiers, who had two tanks em-placed in a street as a blockade. Each soldier stood huddled or crouched behind the tanks, avoiding debris that were coming from a quarter a mile away where Annihilation was decimating some of America's top soldiers and law enforcement officers. The Shadow continued to stand defiantly, despite some of the pleas of officers for him to remain out of harm's way. He ignored them, partly invested in watching Annihilation's tactics. The beast didn't seem as feral as the media had made him out to be. Just from watching him for a few short moments, Mark was able to identify several techniques the red beast was using, as well as improving while in the middle of battle.

Annihilation, simply put, was evolving mentally for survival.

Clone 15, who could identify with his prey, knew how it felt to be, simply put,--a creation. However, he had adapted quite well to this realization. Even with being the clone of another, he had forged his own path. Mark couldn't help but feel like Annihilation was just searching for his own. It's still a mission, Mark thought to himself. As he turned, a large pole flew over his head, causing the hairs on his head to sway away from the battle. Mark stopped in mid-stride, and looked back at his enemy. The monster was already throwing a tank in another direction.

"Amazing," he muttered, tearing his gaze away as he received a message from Surkit.

"Mark. this is Surkit. E.T.A. 20 seconds."

Off in the distance, at least three hundred yards from him and the fight, Mark witnesses as a figure drops out of a plane. Despite the height, Mark sees the man is unhurt, and is walking past soldiers towards Mark. The Fox Company leader put his hands on his hips, awaiting his partner. After nods of acknowledgement, Surkit spoke.  "I'm ready whenever you are.." He watched intently as his partner observes the area before speaking again. "So, you're the vet here, what's the game plan. alot of faces around. I'm not seeing any option but to go at this thing head on. "

"Well, there's still civilians slowly trickling past this blockade for safety," Mark said, walking back toward the tanks.  "Right now the target is handling the combined efforts of military forces and law enforcement. The only way I can see properly handling the situation is to attack him head on. At least that way, we can distract him enough for a proper evacuation." The warrior bent down near one of the tanks and unzipped a Adidas bag. Like a warrior he pulled out a compound bow and a quiver of different arrows. As he stood, he slung the quiver over his shoulder. "I've been observing this 'Annihilation.' He adapts quickly, and seems very intelligent. It'll be a very difficult job. Can you handle it?"

The Shadow didn't bother waiting a response. Before Surkit can mutter, Mark has his bow drawn and an arrow notched in.

Mark charges past the tank, and towards Annihilation

People weave in between the two as they stand behind the barricades. "Well, there’s still civilians’ slowly trickling past this blockade for safety," Mark said, walking back toward the tanks. "Exactly." Surkit replies. "Right now the target is handling the combined efforts of military forces and law enforcement. The only way I can see properly handling the situation is to attack him head on. At least that way, we can distract him enough for a proper evacuation." He watches as the deadly combatant pulls off a generic gym bag from his back, and begins to pull out his instruments of war.

"I've been observing this 'Annihilation.' He adapts quickly, and seems very intelligent. It'll be a very difficult job. Can you handle it?" He asks quickly and skeptically. The ebony skinned street fighter smiles, then quicker than a blink shoves his fist into the tank, pulling out a shell the size of his forearm and tosses it lightly up and down,"Can you?"

The question appears to be rhetorical, as Mark leaps over the stone divider, drawing a steel tipped arrow and bowing it. "Gonna make me earn it I guess. Everybody, get down!-- hrr-!" He backs up two steps and slowly lifts his left leg, as energy begins to grow out of the sole of his foot, swirling into a cushion like form. He stomps the asphalt, being shoved like a small rocket some one thousand feet upward, watching below himself as he soars across, aligning himself with the beast from above like a satellite based missile, The gargantuan, devil-like man below continues his anger fueled rampage. Until he hears a faint whistle slowly growing above him.

The now living howitzer fell with incredible speed towards the soldier, not sure if his opponent had been in the battlefield to know the sound of an incoming. He took no chances, reeling back his arm and letting loose the shell right atop the monsters’ head. He gives it as little time to react as possible, landing ontop of it with a force so intense that combined with annhilations’ weight and the living power houses’ dense form, shoves the two into the sewer system below. Surkit lays in feces infested waters, slightly dazed, piss water running through his fingers along with god knows what else. He checks his mask comm pressing it in, "Surkit to Shadow, the dog's under the house, sir. Bring the heat" He turns in his cockiness, to face a yellow eyed 8 foot-tall military grade weapon of mass destruction with unbridled rage painted on it's concrete-like face. "...Sh!t."

Annihilation soon found himself surrounded by helicopters, soldiers, tanks, as well as the usual police force. Despite his attempt at escape, he had still been discovered. He decided making a stand was his only choice. The tanks fired their large shells, while machine gun fire buffeted him from the helicopters. The soldiers pitched in, but their weapons only felt ticklish to him. The shells and machine gun rounds weren't so funny. Although not extremely painful, each shell felt like a weak punch from a boxer. He immediately jumped into action, grabbing a blue car with his hand. The force he exerted created a dent in the vehicle for him to lift it, and without much thought Annihilation threw it towards one of the helicopters. Unable to evade, the car collided with its rotor-blade, causing the aerial vehicle to spiral towards its death.

The helicopter collided with one of the tanks, completely flattening it. The ensuing chaos deafened him. Or was that the adrenaline pumping through his enlarged veins? Annihilation didn't wait, soon throwing cars in all directions. Most of the tanks fell quickly, and the helicopters were forced to land on the edge of buildings, focusing their guns solely on him. Even as the bullets hit him, the Red Beast continued his work, rolling through tanks and swiping off soldiers. This is all the military can afford? he asked himself, pulling a light pole from the ground and ramming it through the center of a tank. I must of been all they had.

Then that weird sound started. At first he assumed it was just a siren, or some other odd sound warning civilians to move away from the area. Then it got louder.

And louder.

He looked around, and saw nothing.

Then the hit came.

It was much harder than any of the shells or bullets that had rained on him. It was as if he had suffered a concussion or something, and his body reeled in shock at the unknown attack. Then, in quick succession, a figure landed on him. Annihilation was forced down, through the concrete, and into the slimy wet waters that he had been in hours previously. In a feeble attempt to stand, he slid in the water. On all fours, he quickly looked around through blurred vision and his eyes fall upon a figure a few feet away from him.

"Surkit to Shadow, the dog's under the house, sir. Bring the heat"

The figure didn't seem to know he was close, nor realize he had gotten up, and Annihilation inched forward, his eyes trained on his target. His eyes start clearing just as the so-called "Surkit" turned to face him. Instinctively, Annihilation reached forward, hoping to grab at Surkit and crush him. Just as the tip of his middle finger was about to reach him, Annihilation found his hand pierced by an arrow. The small weapon only distracted him, with its quick beeping. Confused, he stared blankly at the arrow, watching as the speed of the beeping hastened. Almost immediately after the sound flat-lined, the arrow exploded, enveloping his hand in a cold substance. The substance quickly cooled the air around it, and then the area affected transformed into a dense ice. "Huh?" Annihilation muttered.

He looked up at the hole in the street and saw a figure jumping down from the hole, two swords in his hands. Annihilation quickly swung, hitting the man in mid-air and causing him to fly down the sewer. As the man disappeared farther in the tunnel, the hulking beast pulled his hand out of the ice and focused his attention on Surkit. "Your Shadow's gone!" he roared menacingly, punching towards Surkit with his right hand.

Clarence looked around after the punch, realizing he had no chance in fighting the two in a small space. He was still on his knees, and the fight was going to be very one-sided if he couldn't stand. Without waiting to see if he had damaged Surkit, Annihilation crawled out of the hole and back onto the street, standing outside the crevice and waiting for his opponents to exit as well. Most of the soldiers and remaining tanks and helicopters had ceased fire, awaiting what would happen in this final confrontation between the two sides.

Mark heard Surkit's response, but continued on anyways, his hand pulled back on the bow's string. Even before he could get in a reasonable range, he found his ally had beat him to attacking Annihilation first. Not only that, he had also sent him into the sewers below. Death's Reaper continued his charge even with that, knowing full-well that his opponent could probably survive even such a viscous hit. Surkit's voice sounded, his voice transported by the comm-link in Mark's ear. "Surkit to Shadow, the dog's under the house, sir. Bring the heat"

"I'm coming," Mark responded, teetering on the edge of the large crater created by Surkit and Annihilation. He looked down, and saw the hulking red creature on all fours. He also saw Surkit, who Annihilation was reaching for. As if time had slowed, Mark rose his bow, and focused on the hand. A sort of tunnel vision clouded his mind and almost allowed him to zoom in on the target. Satisfied at his aim, Mark released the arrow. It pierced through the air like a bullet, and lodged in his enemy's hand. Annihilation didn't even yelp, but Mark grinned--he knew what was going to happen. A few short seconds later, the Freeze Arrow released and enveloped Annihilation's hand. "Gotta love trick arrows," Mark announced to himself, traces of a smug-tone underlying his voice. The Legacy dropped his bow almost immediately after he released the shot, and pulled out the twin scimitars which rested on his back.

He gripped the weapons tightly as he jumped into the hole. Up until this point Annihilation hadn't looked up, and Mark felt like he had the element of surprise. That was until his enemy did look up, and took a viscous swing at him. Not exactly an aerialist capable of quick manuevers, the hand slapped him in the body, causing him to flail towards the other side of the sewer tunnel. The hit caused him to see stars in mid-air. He came to a skidding stop a few seconds later, and those same stars had dissipated. That was the effect of having a regenerative healing ability. Everything that happened to him could be quickly dealt with.  As Mark sat up, he also felt the bones that made up his rib-cage meld back together. Annihilation had broken a few of them easily. Those few short seconds were very painful, as he felt the aftereffects of a quick recovery. He grimaced silently, knowing it was just a consequence of defying nature.

The Shadow stood, searching through the murky water for his blades. He only discovered one. Knowing that he couldn't waste any more time finding the other, he charged back towards the Red Beast. The creature was gone though, and Mark was left facing Surkit. The other Fox Company member pointed up, and Mark understood. "He knew fighting in the sewer wouldn't be favorable. Fighting up there makes it much more even," he said. "He's got us right were he wants us, but it's not over yet."

The Legacy quickly bent down and propelled himself upwards. His inhuman strength allowed him to vault out of the hole and into the air, where he was able to see the surrounding scene. The forces had ceased firing, as he had requested. He didn't want to get hit by a stray bullet, after all. As gravity started to take him back down, Mark twirled around so he would land a few feet from Annihilation. The hulking, red being bore a hateful look at him, which forced Mark to grin. "Come at me," he said, and then it began. His body separated into two of him, then four, then eight, then sixteen, then thirty-two.

"Which one's the real me?" All the Mark's asked in unison.

The suprise in his face quickly turns to focus, as Surkit looks up at his enemy, unable to react, barely even registering the giant hand shooting towards him. He closes his eyes and braces for impact, only the blow never connected. opening his one to see the lummox staring at his hand as it beeps with a stick in it. Instantaneously his hand and wrist are covered with ice. The battery of a man looks up at his entry way to see Mark standing proudly over his target "Gotta love trick arrows,". A gift from on high he quips to himself, feeling that their victory was assured now that it was two on one.

Then he randomly remembered something his brother told him, one of the last things before he died. "Believe half of what you see...and none of what you hear"

As the code named shadow takes a leap into the trenches, close combat weapons in hand, Surkit knew immediately he was over confident and took this opponent as a fool as he had at first, forgetting that any man the government took into its labs, usually went in a warrior and came out a machine. The beast was waiting for his next strike, bluffing ignorance. With speed unnatural for something of it's stature, he swings backwards with incredible force. Had he not been constricted in the tunnels, shadow surely would have been halved.

Breaking the ice off of his hand on a wall, he turns with a menacing smile on his face "your shadow's gone!" Surkit was ready this time, adding density to his mass before taking the attacks energy for himself. expecting to be thrown a few inches back, Surkit is as shocked as mike tyson if he were knocked out by a little girl, as he is flown down the tunnel, both Fox company members now an even distance in both directions from Annihilation. Surkit, now obviously thicker in size and oozing energy, realizes the action worked all too well for this to just be a coincidence. "So" He says with his head slowly rising out of the sewer water, "Your not as dumb as you look." By the time he looks back down the tunnel the last thing he sees in his peripherals is a size 45 foot leaping back into the city.

Getting up Bishop shakily walks over to the hole, Mark standing in front of him one weapon short. Words were unnecessary as Bishop simply points upward with a frustrated grimace on his stony face. The skilled and seemingly unscathed associate lends a few words of encouragement before surprisingly taking a single leap back onto the street level. that old dogs got more tricks than he does arrows he says with new hope, kicking himself up and out, only to find his words were most appropriate, as the first image he lay eyes on is exact replicants in the dozens of his allys' self circling Annihilation.

"Which one's the real me?" All the Mark's asked in unison.

Surkit runs with the sound of pistons slamming dirt towards the enclosed beast, now confused on how to handle a one man army. Bishop replies to mark, "...Better hope it ain't this one!" He yells mid-pace as he grabs one of the clones by the ankle and somersaults forward, ejecting it at the Brick wall like beast, who seems to have grown in stature since a few moments ago. The body screams uncharacteristically for mark, his faux scimitar aimed at it's heart, as any trained fighter would.

The forty-odd Mark's encircled Annihilation, who the Shadow could tell was overwhelmed. The Gargantuan's eyes darted back and forth as he slowly circled along with the Mark clones, awaiting for one of them to act first. The odd stand-off wasted enough time for Surkit to arrive, his feet slamming against the ground with loud bangs. As if in reply to Mark's question, his ally responds: "...Better hope it ain't this one!" All of the Mark's turn, facing towards Surkit. They watched as he lifted one of them and threw him like a knife towards Annihilation. The aerial Mark, with his weapon pointed towards the creature, had his last cry before he collided with Annihilation. The beast is barely phased, but the clone Mark dissipates, as if he had slammed into a brick wall.  For a moment everything is still, and then Mark issued an order: "Attack!"

Simultaneously the clones charge Annihilation. Mark, in the midst of fighting the creature, is astounded to see many of his clones destroyed with the simple flick of the Red Beast's wrist. Some of his best creations were being wiped out. It isn't long before there's only a handful of Mark's are left, and one of them is the real one. Annihilation's attack renews, destroying several quickly.  Mark's expression changes to morbid as he finds himself one of two Mark's left. Although his morbidness is not warranted, the energy from the clones had returned to him, strengthening his tired body. So much for my clone idea, he thought, deterred at the failure.  Mark's head turned to his clone and the two locked-eyes. Immediately they ran for each other, and the fake Mark propelled the real one into the air. Somersaulting in the air towards the Red Behemoth, Mark watches as his clone is clobbered by the beast. Instinctively, Mark reached for several darts in his pocket. He comes down toward Annihilation and lands on his back, digging the sleep darts into his back. Before the beast can grab him, Mark launched off, landing and sliding a few feet away from his enemy.

"That's potent enough to knock-out a whale," he said to himself, waiting for a reaction.

Annihilation turned to face him, forcing Mark to take a defensive position. The monster eyes him, and grins, pulling the darts from his back. Without another moment's notice, he charges Mark, forcing the mercenary to let out a cry. It isn't any cry though. It isn't of fear. It isn't of preparation for the collision. Mark's voice is a siren. A powerful one at that. It's capable of leveling city blocks. Annihilation's stride slows, but the beast continues after him. Mark quickly counters, forcing more sound waves out of his mouth. Annihilation, now at the speed of a crawl,  is able to get in range to grab Mark. His hand spreads into Mark's view, and then...

The attacks by the man had been decisive. Clarence was disturbed at how his fighting flowed. It wasn't choppy, it was like music in action. And his partner, that "Surkit" character, was so raw and brash--it was uncharacteristic. The two were unlike anything he had ever crossed. The Red Beast braced himself, fending of the attacks by the Shadow. As the fight had progressed, Annihilation had realized that the man had started to display more and more of his powers. It was weird, and Clarence couldn't tell if the powers would ever stop. Then, just as he was charging him, the Shadow was now displaying a terrible shrieking. And it was terrible.

All that can come from a guy? he asked himself, fighting the torrent of sound waves. It felt like a gale-force wind was colliding with his chest, slowing down his progress. But, Clarence was determined, and with the body of Annihilation, he was more than capable of dealing with some sound waves.  Clarence, although reduced to the speed of a tortoise, was able to reach his opponent. The man wasn't able to run and scream at the same time, and that was his downfall. Trying to end the incessant screaming, he pushed out his hand and grabbed his opponent's head. The shrieking stopped, but his ears still tingled. "So you're the screaming type?" Clarence asked, raising his arm in the air. Viciously he brings his arm down, letting go, and causing his opponent to slam into the ground. A small crater formed in the concrete on impact. "I hate screamers!"

Annihilation grabbed his victim by his leg and then launched him into a nearby wall. The Shadow collided into the wall, sliding down in pain. Clarence stalked over, and knowing his other opponent was probably close behind him, yanked the Shadow off the ground and launches him towards Surkit. As the body flies through the air, Annihilation began his charge. His heavy steps, foreboding and loud, fill the silent air. The military and police watch horrified--if supers can do it, they can't.

The Red Beast quickly vaulted into the air, and like a jackhammer, came down with the intent to crush Surkit. And then tear him to pieces.

Surkit steps back after launching the impostor body at his foe. He watches as the clones all listen to what could only be mark-prime. The sound of one voice played a thousand times at once fills the street as they charge at the enemy with the kind of unity that would make the Navy S.E.A.L s feel humbled. Surkit couldn't get a clear shot without possibly putting a hole through his affiliate. He opts to attempting an attack from behind while the thing was out flanked from the front, running out of view and picking his spot to attack from.

The assault was worthless in the end, as the red menace swats, stomps and pummels them all until it came down to two, who quickly perform a maneuver attempting to incapacitate him. Of course the military wanted him back alive if possible. It proves ineffective. It seemed his ally was running low on energy as well as tricks. He performs one last hail Mary, taking a deep breath and billowing a sonic scream that shattered glass on every squad car and window in the area.

in a hail of sound, that commanded enough force which could rip the skin off of a man and send him well into the next block, It pushes forward. Through tremendous will and anger, it pushes on, until clasping Mark into his grip, and slamming down with force some would assume was only allowed to the gods, cratering the Shadow. The brute continues his rampage, throwing his incapacitated body into a brick wall. Without thought Surkit forces himself head long into the battle as Annhiliation grabs shadow by the ankle and tosses him directly at Surkit, as though he had heightened senses.

His eyes open wide, then his brow furrows, determined to grab shadow before he hit the ground, not knowing what the damage would do if taken unaware by him. He grabs him just in time setting him down on the street quickly but gently so as to not have any bones pierce organs. He is ducked down low when he hears his opponent barreling towards him. His gut reaction through years of training comes into play, as he swings backwards with his left fist in an upward spiral, following up with his right, sending Clarence flying off his original course sliding jaw first on the stone tiled ground.

He gives him no quarter, dashing forward with his fists engulfed with energy, shooting intensely heated plasma out of his finger tips with his arms flung forward as he charged at the rising Annihilation, not realizing that the creature was feeding off of his power...

As he came down, with all his momentum, Clarence thought it would be a sure-fire hit. He had deduced that his weight, plus his speed, would completely take Surkit off-guard and allow him the chance to pummel the smaller super-human. However, in an impossible twist of fate, Surkit had somehow turned his momentum against him. It was a quick change, decisively done. That change was vital, and now the Red Beast found himself sliding across the concrete, his face down, gravel filling his mouth and covering his tongue. Annihilation struggled to get up, still surprised at how everything had turned out. The Gargantuan slapped his arms on the ground and raised himself, just as the first blast collided with him. He saw it before it came, and instinctively raised an arm.

But the blast of heated plasma did the exact opposite of what it was supposed to do. Instead of feeling pain, or being pushed back onto the floor, his body welcomed the plasma. It absorbed it. Along with absorbing it, Annihilation felt a surge of power. His muscles enlarged, and he felt himself growing. His eyes started to give off a golden radiation, and he smiled. More plasma hit him. Clarence stood, this time his body was taller. It was larger. It was wider. Everything about him had grown. Including an insatiable thirst for defeating his enemy, who was ironically fueling it all.

"Ha," he scoffed. "You'll regret this!"

His eyes now 'leaked' a pure gold colored energy. When another blast hit him, Annihilation absorbed it in his right hand. The force of plasma shot up his right hand, and then his back contorted. Clarence rose his other hand, which discharged the same energy. But this energy was slightly stronger, having taken some of the energy he had already absorbed. Quickly after shooting off the energy, Annihilation took long steps and attempted to kick his opponent. Then he took his two enlarged fists and tried to slam them into Surkit. A nearby car became enticing to his eyes, and Clarence grabbed it and launched it towards his only remaining enemy.

Clarence didn't seem to notice that the street had become deadly quiet. Not a single person stirred, not even Mark who still lay unconscious. Everyone was watching. They were watching him, and they were watching Surkit. Who would come out on top?

The power he exhausted from his fingers was minimum but rapid, his intention only to wear down the red colossus. As he charges forward, eyes locked with intensity on his opponent, Bishop can't help but wonder, "How the hell is he getting closer without moving?" Then he quickly stops, folding in his fingers to his palms, Having realised the error of his attack all too late. This monster of a man, this master of deception. clearly he represented the devil in spirit as well as flesh. The beast grew immensely as he took in the last of his attackers blue and black plasma like a sponge, the energy seeping into every pore of his body.

"Ha," he exclaims. "You'll regret this!" His voice now thicker, heavier, and deeper.

A glow of intense pure yellow fills his eyes, each one dripping with it like a pair of melting suns. Annhilation raises his palm, now the size of a small dog, supping up the blast and convulsing in a wave like form. The Blast completely catches Bishop by surprise as he the last image in his eyes was blinding yellow reddish light followed by a forceful thrust backwards and on his back. "GAH!" The energy singes his near invulnerable chest, instill fear into the mix of his already stunned and angry pool of emotion. Annihilation, with Surkit's help, may have the power to destroy him. As he goes to rise, turning to all fours, a foot the size of a canoe collides point blank with his mid-section, sending Bishops' body skipping across the street like a stone on still waters.

He slides into, after his rag doll hop, a brick wall. The force of it leaving a visible imprint of his body on the building. he doesn't get more than a moment after falling out of the wall, as two gigantic fists run him into the ground. The air grows still once more, as the hero lays motionless on the gravel. He hears a sound above him as he turns on one hand , a raspy "heh" as it grabs an SUV, hurling the vehicle like a baseball out of its massive grip. As the shadow grows over top of Surkit feels his anxiety lift, and his confidence and resolve harden, as well as his skin.

The hero for hire stands in his now tattered jacket. The soles of his feet melting from the energy, He ejects from the hole with renewed strength pushed near his limitation of capacity, literally near bursting with power. The raging soldier failed to realize early on that Surkits’ power had to come from somewhere. He blasts forward so hard his cheeks flap back form the g-force. As the car flies in his path, Bishop shoves his arms into both doors on the left side and pulling in opposite directions. He runs unencumbered by the it, now armed with two steel fists. “Now-". Not two feet from his face he jumps into the air, his legs just out of the now seemingly 12 foot monsters’ reach, "-we’re gonna see who regrets what!” He proclaims, as he attempts to bring the steel hammer of a fist down on his opponent with tremendous force. He then aims to take the legs from his enemy, sending blows at its knees.

He switches up making his moves seem random and chaotic, the way only a true street fighter could. he goes for a blow to the throat in attempt to stun and choke him. The metal breaks down sending pieces and chunks flying in the air, falling in the distant crowd and on the wrecked warzone where Mark lay.

Everything proceeded as planned. Annihilation's opponent had faced his blast and lost his balance. His foot slid precisely into the mid-section of Surkit, tossing him like a rag doll across the hard, concrete ground. The car already flying towards him. "He'll be finished," Clarence muttered under his breath. Then, all of a sudden, Surkit stopped the car. It didn't crush him like Annihilation had planned, now it was just another weapon. Another tool for Surkit to use against the Red Giant. Clarence could see the raging power within Surkit, and knew immediately that he had lost his advantage in the fight. He gets stronger too...interesting. Annihilation had little time to observe his opponent before Surkit was barreling toward him, the car separated into two parts. Surkit was holding them like gloves.

Annihilation braced himself for an oncoming attack, only to see Surkit fly into the air. The move immediately caused Clarence to smile. He side-stepped, causing Surkit to smash his deadly fists directly into the ground. However, before the Red Giant could make his move, his opponent continued his assault. Clarence immediately felt a sharp pain in his knee, where Surkit had smashed him with the car glove. The initial pain brought him immediately to one knee and another well-placed attack brought him onto both. Clarence was stunned. Such a little man had been quick, and strong, enough to bring him down. The Red Giant wondered why this one wouldn't go as easily as the unconscious opponent who laid a way's away.

The Hulking Beast quickly responded, protecting himself from the rabid punches that Surkit laid on him. Pieces of metal flew around him as the man smashed the car harder and harder into him. Guarding himself, Annihilation quickly stood back up, avoiding a well-placed blow for his throat which landed on his chest instead. Clarence stumbled back, taking the tough blow by giving it the least amount of friction he could offer. The Red Beast quickly responded, throwing a jab towards Surkit's face. He followed this up by an uppercut towards his chest, before using his large leg to swipe at Surkit's legs and trip him.

The Giant continued, using straight-forward punches in an attempt to weaken Surkit and take advantage of his smaller size. Still, Clarence was disturbed by how the little man was a tank--how incredibly strong he was. "It's almost over!" He tried to assure himself, continuing his assault with a backhand attempted for Surkit's ribs.

Contrary to the others' beliefs, Mark wasn't unconscious. As he lay there, damaged from the viscous assault of Annihilation, his body couldn't find a way to recover simply like it was usually capable of. Mark's shoulder blades, spine, rib-cage, hips, and knees had been shattered by the collisions he had been forced through at the hand of his enemy. In a way, his body had just shut-down to keep him out of harm's way. So, in the middle of the street, the motionless body of Mark was really hard at work repairing each broken bone and the pain receptors that had overloaded during the initial impacts. Honestly, Mark would have stayed in his stasis-like slumber for a few hours, but a small nudge forced his body to reawaken him.

Mark groaned as he turned onto his back, a large chunk of a rear-view window had slammed into his stomach. The bewildered super-human took a few seconds to regain control over the his internal situation before he addressed the things around him. The Shadow sat up, his eyes immediately focused on Surkit and Annihilation. The two were dealing damage to one another. The type Mark could tell would kill a man with one blow. Yet, the two were taking each shot as if it was a simple graze. So this is how strong he is, Mark thought, watching Surkit battle Annihilation toe-for-toe.

The Legacy slowly lifted onto his feet, making sure his bodily functions were correct and that everything was alright with him. Quickly, seeing how Surkit was starting to be abused by Annihilation, pulled two pistols from their respective holsters. He held the guns aloft, emptying his clips into the Red Giant. The action brought attention from both Annihilation, as well as Surkit. They seemed surprised to see him up, his body fine, and his vigor restored. In a cool tone, Mark called out to his ally. "Have you noticed anything about him? Anything that could be useful? Regarding his powers?"

He quickly was back in the fray, and now the battle was about to take another turn.
