(Thats right a blog that you can also jump in on. Its a blog to read and comment if you want. At the same time though it can be a rp and ooc if you want to get in on the action. The rules are simple 1. no npcs exist on the ship. I control the aliens the crews all dead, unless you want your character to be a crewmember that survived. 2. Don't blow up the ship. 3. Have fun, thats it. So read, jump in, or skip whatever lol i find this song to fit rather well Creepy song )

/////////S.O.S recieved in Sirius sector//////////////// ........Situation S.S Horizon has no power or fuel .......Situation no life signs detected///

........Mission board the Horizon .....Mission search for and extract any survivors .......Mission destroy Horizon preventing theft or recyling of important assets .......Mission should end with Horizon gone and us heading home////

......Comunications keep chatter to a low only converse about what we see ........Communications stay on HUD cammera and apart of the assessment ....Communications talk through communicators only avoid yelling or other actions that might stur up trouble

.......Service Colonel Palin Captain Averus Lt Wolf Cadet Gevar Cadet Silut .......Service employing the use of all moddern squad gear////

.........Collaborate Horizon was a vacation oriented craft. ............Collaborate Horizon's crew was 1,245 guests and crew .....Collaborate Horizon reported a mysterious death after just barely avoiding a black hole///////

.............Risks unknown///////////////

"Oh that is just f*cking great" remarked Silut. Silut was just over nineteen yrs old. They had celebrated his birth day no more then a month ago. He had a record of being shy around guns but being exceptional with explosives. Standing at five foot four and having a irish hint to his accent. He had a thing for brawls as well having tried to picked a fight with half the canidates of this mission, Palin had picked him for that very reason.

A girl same age with a slight British accent rolled her eyes at the man. "What's it matter what happend, the mission is the mission and thats it. Take a breath and grow a pair will you, talk so much and yet someone says theres a dead crew and you sweat 50 cal rounds." That was Wolf, skill wise she was just a rifle and cook nothing special. Palin chose her though for having a allready exceptional record of missions under fire. Averus was a calm level headed soldier under pressure.

"I hope its a mess up in that b*tch. If I don't get to play the hunter I wan't to just gun them down. Ever see what the shotgun does to a person at point blank?" Averus, mother korean father had escaped hard times in Africa. He was huge, and yet a remarkable sniper with sevral HVT kills under his belt. The only fault was that he also took medication for anger managment. He was a bit of a loose cannon which left Palin nervous at times though Palin would never admit to this.

"Ghosts are all we will find the damned silent scream. That visage that haunts your every dream. You're hunt for horizon will be the fall of the team." The soft words of the raven haired japanese woman of twenty five years old. She was skilled with various tech and the pilot should they need someone instead of automatic. This entire trip though Gevar had only been saying lines like this one.

"Would you quit with your freaky lil Exorcism of the Ring sh*t you cu" began Silut.

"Stow it grunts, none of that means a damn. Like Wolf said a job is a job were going in. Get the f*ck over it because complaints aren't worth a damn." These words were barked by Colonel Palin, a man who seamed to talk only by yelling. And the actual yelling was so loud other soldiers that had served under his command said the enemy had acidents in fear. Palin had goten hold of the naval vessel Eclipsal Hammer and launched the first black ops space op.

Enter Horizon

There was no sound at all in the ship it was litterally dead in every aspect of the word. The engines the group had visited, they didn't emit so much as a radiation signiture. The fuel cells had ran themselves dry though at this time it was hard to tell if natural or sabotage was to blame. "Look over here, Col got a body." Averus having finally discovered a body. Up untill this point not a single body or spec of blood had been spotted. The group circled around the dead worker as Wolf stayed alert looking side to side in a practiced motion.

"Engineer Vigo Iglar" Palin remarked as the scan ran the corpses finger prints. Vigo was twisted in a strange way his spine broke in a diagnel angle. His body from neck down was lacking in any bullet or knife wounds. No prints showed up as an indicator of struggle he was seemingly clean. There was only one thing radically out of place, the wound that had killed the man. At the temple level of the right eye was a gaping hole there. It looked like some kind of puncture wound and it covered almost a third of the mans skull.

"What the f*ck could do that. I've seen hammers axes and that sh*t nothing hits like that." Silut remarked clearly starting to lose his nerves. "I mean maybe if somebody used a metal rod like a spear or somethin but that would be more evident ye know?" Palin began to push three of his fingers into the entry wound to see how deep it had gone. A action that made Silut have to look away and vomit.

"It seems like it's got to be from a animal." Averus stated, being a sniper he had taken courses in things like biology as well. It was apart of the classes that seemed most advantagous for this space oriented opperation.

"But what beast exists able to hold such a easily executed feast? Only a fool would expect the least..." the soft erie voice of Gevar commented. Palin was quick to signal them to move out, staying here did no real good.

From then on things only escalated worse and worse by the minute as they ventured further into the vessel. Blood started to apear along the walls, corpses more frequent. Reaching the dinning hall sevral limbs were found. Bodies however were almost nowhere to be found. "This isn't natural, no pirates react with this extreme force. Raiders and sadistic f*cks might rock such a kill count they'd of left some of the bodies however." Wolf remarked cold and blunt as she kneeled by one of the few corpses. "Blade weapons to seeing no signs of gunfire on victems or walls."

"Lets try the bridge, sooner we get off this tomb the better rookies." Palin like Wolf continuing to stay calm and aware.

Hairs rose, goose bumps prevelant as the group got closer to the bridge. Silut and Wolf even starting to shake a bit from the coldness of the location. Thick red lines told the team where to go like signs at every turn. Palin began working on prying the door open, curious for a passenger ship that had almost no closed doors beside rooms. Gradually force began to take effect pulling the door open, untill finally it slid to the side. Instantly a smell beyond anything they'd experienced slammed into them. Averus and Palin coughing, as Gevar vomited away her lunch. Atleast a thousand and a hundred of the corpses had been stock piled and freezing in the room. "Jesus f*ck god what the f*" Palin was quick to turn and slap Silut shutting him up.

Eclipse

The report was filed everyone was dead no survivors found. If by some god forsaken means someone had survived they were so well hidden the best scanning systems available couldn't find them. Which also likely ment they'd be mentally scared like no other and better left dead. Wounds suggested an extra terestrial creature, something that could also get off the ship before the squad had gotten there or that emited no standard signitures of a life form. And because there was seamingly no way to efficiently be of any use they simply waited. In a hour or two they would have confirmation to destroy Horizon. Untill then they decided to try to relax. The entire squad except Silut sat in the mess hall, despite others fealing sick Averus was more then willing to dine.

"You know I can keep my sh*t but I've got to say Averus you got me toped here." Wolf remarked shaking her head in disbelief.

Averus swallowed his latest bite, last time he'd talked with food in his mouth Wolf had chucked a bottle at him. "Ey this has been the one military mission where I've gotten better meals then that MRE sh*t Im gona enjoy it." It was true the Navy had infact provided the Eclipsal Hammer with food that actually had some texture to it. This was primarily because who knew how long the ship would be out, it could of been anywhere from another week to a year out.

"Colonel where the hell is the kid" remarked Wolf excepting Averus answer.

"He who is silent from fright, is he who is first to die this night" stated Gevar.

"Look here Paranormal ActiveC*nt up untill now I've been rather leniant. I won't stand for that kind of remark though b*tch on my boat." Palin in a clearly agitated tone responded before stomping out "I'm going to check on him if he's dead I f*ckn swear" Palin stoping himself there. At a loud and almost combative step he began to head to the barracks. The ship was silent but the soft purr of the machines, the click of gears in motion, or so it would seam. The lights dim but yet somehow soothing easy to sleep under yet easy to work under. The barracks of the Eclipsal was a series of small rooms between the doors to the right and to the left a fair amount of space. The rooms went five back on each side with a second floor, allowing for a total of twenty marines or crew in total. Originaly so much space with so few people was nice, though right now Palin fealt completely on edge. A memmory of bodies piled upon bodies kept coming to his mind.

Colonel first knocked a few times loud enough that it echoed in the barracks. No answer came. Perhaps the kid was sleeping, peeking through the window Palin attempted to get a better look at things. The soft lights were still on, clothes piled up on a chair the image of a famous model in almost nothing on the wall. He'd of simply left if not for a few specks of crimson on the image. With a thunderous kick the door swung open. "No! Crew Silut is dead, head litteraly cleaved in half. F*cker got him in his sleep" a purr could be heard before the lights went out.

"And when the lion lost its head, it would be but time before the apex predator laid the rest to bed."

"Cool it Sunshine, get the cameras up when the back up generator comes on." Despite the creepy anoyingness of Gevar she listened to Wolf. Switching instantly into business mode as lights came back on. A small lap top was brought up from the table, most the ship had these access turminals somewhere.

"Something obviously cut the power, for the next three hours we're a dead ship just floating here. Might be able to radio contact home in an hour it'll be basic however Averus can't skype his three girl friends or anything."

"Sh*t you manage to be a b*tch even when not sounding like Black Veil Bride don't ya." Averus remarked tossing the plate into a sink and joining the two women.

"Both of you shut it" Wolf barked despite being lower in the command chain then Averus. A wave of her hand and a crude hologram of the security cameras came on. Going through the motions Wolf soon brought up the security cam for the barracks. "Whatever it is had to stay in the room waiting for the Colonel, we're not getting yelled at which says he was attacked as well." The video feed went to the last five seconds before the outage the group watching as Palin punched the window in anger. His lips moved suggesting his previous call to them then a hole bursted in Palin's chest a second later and the camera went dark. Wolf rewinded the tape slowly.

"Stop" pause was pressed instantly. "Do you two fine a**'s see that his hand gesturing the hologram to go back to the computer. "Zoom in just over the Colonel's shoulder, cycle visions for a second." Gevar did as she was told to. "Can make out almost nothing of its apearence though the head is clearly smooth and elongated. I believe that to meen a larger brain and thicker skull then most living organisms. It gave off almost no heat signature, did you two see that? If you took a piss on snow waited a minute then looked with infrared at the snow that was about all that could be seen." Wolf chuckled at that Gevar looked appauled by the notion. "It also had no heart signature. I suspect that means its heart beets opposite the way ours do. It flows like a stream easy and natural, when it dies the heart probably would pound for a nighht franticly trying to generate a blood flow that it can't."

"So where two men down, Eclipsal isn't going anywhere and we've no radio. Meanwhile some alien is on our damn air ducts. Fanf*ckntastic" Wolf remarked rolling her eyes before grabbing her rifle.

"Don't go screaming we're screwed man we're screwed yet. We're the militaries elite bast*rds." Averus retorted trying to take initiative of his new commanding position.

"He whos most likely to bark, would be the next to leave a mark."

"Would you quit with that sh*t Grudgeina! Lets move, the bridge of Horizon was freezin it's got almosst no heat signature it likes the cold where its almost a hundred percent invisible." Thankfully wether the squad liked him or not the time as a sniper did make Averus good for figuring out as much as possible on the alien with what little information they had. So it was the trio began moving towards the engine. When the reactor was off it rapidly cooled down a device designed to try and aid it in jumping into motion faster when it was turned back on. Engines roared almost instantly when cool they ran the risk of being slower if warm or hot. Logical choice it clearly was especially when they couldn't afford to get geared up. This thing needed found and killed as soon as it could be pulled off.

Eclipsal was silent the foot steps seaming to echo all throughout the mighty vessel. It fealt as quiet as any night before though now it was a far more troubling matter the apsence of sound registering as something preying on them in this night. A sense of dread lingered in the air despite the confidence that they could fight this stalker. Metalic doors slid open with a hiss, a hiss that seamed to carry out longer then it possibly should. In a tight well practiced motion they moved to the center of the cold engine room. Faint sounds of a purr could be heard in the distance, where this anommaly originated however wasn't identifiable. And as they predicted no real trace of the creature could be located. Then came the sight of the others, their battered corpses laying on the cold steel. The group rushing to the downed men hoping some form of evidence lingered. Nothing. "Alright f*ck this you two go. Just get off this b*tch. I wan't to see this ugly son of a b*tch."

"You wanting to die, let Gevar be right?" Wolf questioned in hope that perhaps it might bribe the man.

"F*ck off. Get the hell off my ship thats a god damn order!" The confines of military lead forcing the hands of the other two. Grabbing a magazine from the fallen Palin, Averus chucked it at a air vent in hopes of spooking the creature or causing it to move and make a sound. All that came was a distant hissing laughter location unclear. Averus raising the SAW he made use of and opening fire on the cealing. The air ducts becoming decorated with holes not a drop of fluid to indicate that the target was hit however. Averus dropped the heavy weapon and drew his pistol and turned only to hear that strange laughter again before he fealt a sharp pain in both shoulders. A flash of black had disarmed him in the most permanent of ways. Shocked and enraged he screamed though that did no good in shielding him from the hungering fiend of the stars.

"So where the hells you're post apocalyptic sh*t now Tokyo Chainsaw Massacre." Wolf barked in evident agitation, though her aggression soon fadded away.

"I don't do it to piss you all off you know, its just natural for me. It's like when a chill runs down your spine you don't know why. All you know is something is up or coming. I don't want to die Nicole but only an idiot thinks they can escape this." Gevar spoke with a level of dread and fear in the voice. The panic only sold more by the fact that Gevar had actualy go on to use a first name which they never did. "Life wasn't looking to go anywhere most the family dying by some means or antoher I joined the military to move." Wolf sighed giving in a bit from her usual walled off self.

"Everybody loves to pull a self pity speach when their odds say they're next in the horror kill spree eh. F*ck it get out of here Amnyvile wh*reor." The Leutenant smiling a bit before gesturing Gevar to leave. Specializing in tech if nothing else Gevar seamed the most likely to get a radio signal out. Some signal to others that this ship needed blown to hell. That somebody needed to kill this creature before it could go further. Wolf stayed alert and aware trying to be prepared for the comming creature, the ever aproaching predator. There was no sound though to suggest a target, no mark to say it was getting close. A tap of a claw is heard and a pistol round is quickly fired. No sugestion of dammage, a purr and Wolf fires another round. Again without a kill to come from the action, or even suggestion of harm. Concluding in a jolt of pain in the back of Wolf's mind. There was nothing she could have done.

This left Gevar alone in a escape pod, just waiting for the power to come back. For a way to escape the nightmare, and yet nothing showed itself. No salvation, no chance to get free, and when the power did come on it was there. Just staring, it didn't seam to have any eyes. Its skull was enlogated reaching backwards like the scythe of the reaper. It was sleek, almost skeletaly thin yet the muscles that showed were large and almost seemed exagerated. Thick slick saliva dripped from it's maw a smaller mouth could be seen. Gevar went to press the lock but in panic hit the comm first, a message going out across the stars. Moist sound of flesh being ripped open followed by two voices. One was soft and yet trembling, the other sounding animalistic with a faint hiss. Before the radio link went dead two words had been uttered by the two "silent night."

$500,000,000 for the job they said.

$500,000,000 for every survivor they said.

His employers didn't count on there being no survivors in the first place.

---

Judge stepped away from his deployment pod. The drill at its bow had tunneled into the heart of the derelict. He had to be more subtle while within the abandoned vessel. His suit and breathing apparatus made an uneasy noise in the void. It resonated on the distant metal surfaces of the hangar. No fleshy noise. Just inorganic. Unnatural. Pushing the broken door open, he found his way into a terminal of sorts that regulated flights, shipments, and docking actions. The first thing he noticed was the lack of bodies. If anything had slaughtered the inhabitants of the Horizon, the aftermath would have been enormous. Not a single white fragment of bone glimmered in the glow of his flashlight. No splatter of blood licked the floor or baggage. Emptiness surrounded him. Made him complete. He was alone, but knew that something else was here. He did not know exactly what yet.

He snapped his collapsible bow from his utility belt and brought it into an active state. Removing an arrow from his quiver and placing it on the bowstring idly, he swerved his head side-to-side in a cautious manner. Being a mute had its perks sometimes, especially in environments like this. No wayward grunt or sigh escaped his lips because his underdeveloped vocal chords did not allow them to. He simply watched, knowing his hosts were doing the same thing - wherever they were.

The absence of corpses bit into his nerves. He had fought in wars before, witnessed genocides. There were always bodies in places where he knew slaughter had taken place. The very thought made him uneasy. Just what happened to the dead? Were they all huddled into a mass grave somewhere on the ship? No debris orbited the Horizon, so they were not shot out into space. Human terrors began to sink in. Perhaps they were still alive, in a sense, and moving.

Judge kept a cool head and shook away these thoughts - or tried to, at least. The sense of isolation, being in a floating graveyard with empty graves, sank into his very core. He kept focused on his mission: video evidence of what happened before the Horizon went dark and stayed dark. He kept thinking of the money. He kept telling himself it would be worth it. He knew better than to trust these claims. His thumb stroked the feathers of his arrow habitually. The beast was just playing its games with him. He realized he was being followed about half an hour ago when he left the ship that burrowed his way into the floating piece of junk. He waited for the perfect moment to strike and show his supposed 'predator' just how dangerous he could be.

@apex_: I don't doubt they could take it. Even if they couldn't. I'd make them able to. But I'd have to think up a reason for her to be there.

Which actually shouldn't be a problem. The matter then becomes what side she'd be on.

@_executioner_:

Every ship had a back up generator something small but enough to power the basic functions. Having absorbed the mind of technicians though it new what things to cut. The pair of ships Horizon and Eclipse, they hummed softly trying to turn on devices they would not be able to. Apex steps were silent and if not they were so soft the hum would of completly dampen it. In a ship seemingly full of ghosts it was as quiet as one. The ship almost entirely blacked out was perfect for the hunt. Some floor lights were able to remain on but they were so dim everything seemed unrecognizable. And soon enough a target had come someone foolish enough to think they could safe the ship or those on it.

Fact was everyone was dead, a few limbs could be found in the cafeteria of horizon. Some blood might be found there and some of the rooms around the ship. All the bodies though resided in the frozen bridge. The gore so rich in ammount the windows were almost blacked out entirely. On Eclipse it was even more subtle, some blood in the dormotories and heading towards one of the escape pods but little else. The bodies were all stacked in the freezing engines. The machines groaning softly as they attempted to come back to life. Apex began the hunt within these to dead space craft. Tracking the new comer from smell and sound, nearing the entry of the Horizon its body began to shift. Rippling and changing as two more of the creatures were spawned from it.

In flashes of darkness within the almost apsolute black the two creatures leapt and dashed towards the new arival. Air ducts vibrated occasionally on the aproach. However nearing this archer they slowed down, silent as the dead. Curious they thought that he would use a bow. Absorbed memories said that the common weapons were guns. These stick shooting devices were archaic the eyes if they could be called that watched in curiosity. They'd take some time to observe, to watch him and how he investigated. After a few minutes the to would strike dropping behind the archer and on a coridor to the side. And in a flash of motion just as fast if not faster then any bullet one would strike from behind its tail aiming to slice the man in half. The other would lunge past at equal speed trying to drive its tail through the mans heart. And then they would vanish back into the labrinth of air ducts and inner workings of the ship.
