Run For Mayor(Run Amok) OOC/Discussion Thread

As Alvarez has gained substantial power within the underworld he also wishes to have his hands in everyones pockets. Only way for this to truly happen and work out, is to become someone of power within New York. Someone who holds power over all the goings on within the city itself, he wanted to become its Mayor. He knew that people knew of him personally, many had seen and feared his face. So he would have to become someone else, his ties to the Monarchs were to go under the radar and he must continue his work within the Mafia he controls. Soon a guise was created in that of Alfredo Gonzalez, a man who was born in the poor villages of Venezuela and had come to this country for a better life. A better life for his family, a dotting mother and strong father brought him up to value the non essentials and to never worry about the frivolous things in life as money.

Soon everyone in New York knew the name of Alfredo, how he had come from the streets and turned into a man of supreme kindness and a face that could turn anyone. The streets and homes of New York bustled with the words of Alfredo, his face was everywhere as he slowly rose to a position to actually run for Mayor of the city. His campaign spoke of "Change for everyone, this city will forever be changed by my words and actions. New York will never be the same again!" he would tell at every TV appearance, all the way rumors began to come to the surface of his true intentions. But who would believe the naysayers as how could a man with such a smile truly be anything but a force for good?

The Game

As Ginju/Alfredo runs for Mayor he is going to need someone/people to oppose him. Thats where you guys come in, Who wishes to run against Ginju in the fight for power as the Mayor of New York?

I kind of want this to roll on much like a thriller or suspense story, you the goods guys trying to find out who Alfredo really is. How could a poor man who became rich overnight come in and sweep up a city in such a way, would he truly be a force for good within the city or does he have a sinister motive.

My character would not get involved in a mayoral race as a candidate.

Once you get someone to run against and an idea of where your going with it let me know, maybe the team has a reason for involvement. Not sure at this time.

AHHHHH Why do people hate politics so much. Think of it this way

I can barely keep up with the new team and side RPG, even if I did say yes I would probably leave you hanging unintentionally right now. Best to wait for someone more reliable.
