Set in a different world, the characters of comicvine are in the past. But a different past. You were all former slaves and contestants of the Gladiatorial arena for the evil king, Rundus. He forced you to fight, and to survive, you had to kill some friends and enemies. But, a mysterious explosion took apart the dungeon area, and all the prisoners escaped. Now on the run, Rundus has hired an elite team of Mercenaries the find you. Through the usage of sorcery, they have all your skills, and know your weaknesses's. As you move through the land, you discover that it is much more technological than previously thought. Massive cities populate it, made of stone and wood. Airships, both private, commercial, and military move through the skies. Vast streches of desert occupy the area that are not towns, and without and airship, it is nearly impossible to move through them. Bandits, Mercenaries and Soldiers patrol the deserts, the Wastelands, looking for whatever they fancy. But not by themselves, for they patrol the area in giant steam-punk like Mechs. You can build your own, steal some, but they aren't easy to find. Any Mechs that comes within city limits are destroyed by giant cannons. But, aside from Rundus, there are other kingdoms and kings. And, far, far across the land lies one, long thought dead kingdom on the rise that will threaten to destroy all life.
Rules:
NPC's can be killed, but if they are in Mechs or the Mercenaries out to kill you, make it seem hard and make it take more than one post. To find/build a Mech, you can steal one from the ones patrolling the desert (and should you decide to do so, you're gonna need help. They carry giant swords, axes, spears, etc., and are 200 feet tall), or attempt to build one (don't ask me how yet). You have to keep a low profile, or risk being attacked by the Mercenaries. You can keep your powers, but make them have a prehistoric feel. If you have super-speed, try not to make it faster than light or anything. No invulnerability.
I'll work on the rules more.
RPG coming soon.
