Chastity
Definition: To be honest with oneself, one's family, one's friends, and to all of humanity; embracing moral wholesomeness.
For an entire year he stood by her side, but what did that give him? Becoming the host of her demonic god, a sexual plaything whenever she was bored, and most of all - a platform to boost her image in front of mass media. It was a whirlwind of transpiring events, but Noah would find himself in Venezuela; trying to find his purpose in life as his fiance worked him out of his own fortune and took the estate for what it was worth.
So, when he returned home. Finished with the designs of the Supreme Chancellor, Xenon, and his brother Eli; Noah decided it was finally time to confront Clarice about the possibility of her tampering with his mind. After all a visit to the telepath Madame Blossom had taught him that his psyche was far more fractured than anything she had ever seen. Yet, upon his reentry into the states it seemed to be that no one remembered his name. In fact, he had nothing but the money he acquired during his time in the Venezuelan Republic.
He had heard rumors of her partnership with the human supremacist known as Charlemagne LeBeau, a relationship he was mystified by. Soon enough he caught wind of her relationship with Anthony Stark, the man running for president at the time. Flustered, heart broken, and unknowing of who he was; Noah found himself at square one yet again. This time, however, this time was different. This time he had a friend by the name of Kurt Pendragon.
At first they were passerby friends, only seeing one another at Gothic City's most prominent bar, but soon enough the two became inseparable. Their friendship had evolved into brotherhood as two started sharing an apartment together. From evenings on the town to nights fighting crime, Kurt became a mentor in teaching Noah to be his own person, an individual. And for some time Noah followed suit, comfortable in his own skin, and accepting the fact that he could live life unattached to Clarice. Being Kurt's friend humanized Noah, it helped him, and unbeknownst to the Emerald Archer....the yellow eyed nomad began to catch feelings. However, any chance at exploration of those feelings were halted when Amaranth, the greatest warrior to have ever lived, claimed to be the one true father of Noah Addams.
Humility
Definition: Modest behavior; the giving of respect; the courage of the heart to undertake tasks which are difficult, tedious, or unglamorous, and to graciously accept the sacrifices involved.
A strigidae. A mutant. A political dignitary. A fighter. A soldier. A hero. A friend.A brother. A lover. A fiance. An almost father. He's worn many skins in his twenty-three years of life. Being told his parents, the parents who raised him, weren't his own? Even by the standards of his multifaceted life, the revelation of Amaranth's being his paternal parent felt wrong. Noah couldn't believe it, but a part of him longed for importance. Little did he know that this was yet another fabrication on the part of Clarice Michelle, a woman who's guilt over ruining his life had grown as they aged.
He took this information in stride. Except he didn't do anything with it. He didn't get upset, elated, or proud. Instead he moved away, out of Gothic City, out of sight. He knew this had to be the mechanisms of Clarice. It had to be. He wouldn't let her win. He wouldn't let her break his mind. Not again. Taking the word of Kurt, the formerly lost soul find a nice town in Maryland, where he met a nice girl named Marissa. And for the last few months they've been living together, happily. Having sacrificed his soul, heart, and body for Clarice; Noah decided it was time to start anew. He respected her grind, but he refused to be her pawn any longer. As for Kurt, staying away from him was best. Although it seemed unresolved, Noah considered Kurt the friend he always needed, and the reasoning behind his sanity. In the end, it was because living with Marissa that he learned it was time to let go of the past. At least he hoped.
