@thegreatfour: "Yes. I see. Well, maintaining your stress levels is the best way to help avoid at least some of, whatever exactly happens to you. But your line of work is not conducive of a stress-free life."
@Mr. Mercury: "Everyone's a little bit selfish. Even her. It's human nature. Are you wasting her time? Do you feel that you are? I think caring for someone is quite a laudable endeavour. If anything, she may be wasting her time on you, not you wasting her time. It's her choice what she does, same as you. Relationships are always two-sided. That's what makes them complicated."
@Grift3r: "It can happen. If the unremembered past doesn't present itself, then the only people it will hurt are the people who knew you before or perhaps you if there are people who wish to harm you that you don't remember."
@The Psyentist: Well, I can't say I'm not a little proud. I see broken noses and arrow wounds. I only do this to the bad guys. But, of course, every day the line gets a little more blurred. I should know. And of course, you should.

@The Psyentist: Maybe I should be single, if something happens to her because of me I'd have to carry that forever, but either way something can happen

@thegreatfour: She nods. "Okay."
@Mr. Mercury: "Singleness is not for the faint of heart anymore than being with someone. They both carry their own challenges. Only you can decide what's best for you and the other person."
@.Longshot.: "But was it an awkward pause or a bored pause?"
@The Psyentist: Remember, I was fine when we split. How we got back together is a blur, it happened when she came to my house and....he clears his throat
Alexander looked up at the stately brownstone office building from the street below, then glanced down to the piece of paper with the hastily scrawled address clutched in his hand. It was a fair trade, he eventually reasoned; see a therapist and stave off being kicked out by his old man for a little bit longer. With a sigh he crumpled the note into his jacket pocket before trudging into the building and starting up the stairs to Dr. Steele's office. Grudgingly, he knocked on the translucent window that made up the top half of the door and waited for a response, bracing himself for whatever hag would have chosen such a profession.
@The Psyentist: I don't get many options. Between the people out to kill me and people screaming whenever I take off the maks, not many opportunities jump out to me.
@The Psyentist: "Bwuh." He stood with his mouth agape for a moment before realizing how stupid he must have looked. "Erm... Hi... Nice to meet you. I'm Alex."
@Ferro Vida: She smiled and raised an eyebrow. "Yes...hello." She laughed. "What a strange coincidence that my name is a variant of Alex. But preferably you will call me "Dr. Steele." Come in. Make yourself comfortable."
@Mr. Mercury: "In short, yes. Sex is rather intimate and enjoyable. So, relationship continues."
@The Psyentist: I guess so. But what do I do about the guilt? I've killed hundreds of people. I've done horrible things. How can I ever redeem myself from that by beating up rapists and purse snatchers?
@.Longshot.: "Technically, you never can. I don't believe in karma. But you can chose to look at yourself as an individual who is trying to better himself. That's worth something. That's always a valiant, uphill struggle."
@The Psyentist:Lowering his voice, Well she is good in bed--, returning to a normal volume, Sex is what's keeping us together, it's a basically a...uh..daily thing, he pulls at his shirt collar.
@Mr. Mercury: "Yes. The only problem is, she does seem to want you to love her as well. If you can't, why is she rewarding you? Because she has hope that maybe you will come to love her because she's "good in bed." It's a familiar problem among opposite-gendered relationships. And you care for her, don't want her to get hurt, but you do enjoy the sex, and will take it when it's there. That seems natural enough. But is it right? That's the question. Is it what's best for the both of you?"

She smiles inocently. After asecond of pause she looks back up at the doctor "Oh forgot to mention starting fires, always did love a good flame." "
"Ah huh. Well, that's nice." She looks at her. "Why are you here again?"
@The Psyentist: "Ahhh... Yes, Dr. Steele." Alex sheepishly stepped through the doorway and automatically went to the couch near the window; this was not his first time seeing a shrink, and off-guard as he was he had slipped back into old habits.
