History
Leo was an average boy, who kept up his grades, and was very athletic in school- the bees knees, the popular kid on campus. At home, his father and mother loved him very much, and were middle classed in society. Everything was perfectly normal for Leo as a child- until he went to college.
College life was supposed to be fun. Leo had read about it his whole life, and when he finally got to the college of his dreams, his hopes were surpassed. The campus was beautiful, and almost everyone was friendly to him. Except his roommate- Thomas Collier. He and Thomas were rivals, all because Thomas tried to be better than Leo in literally everything. However, there was one trait that Leo knew he was better than Thomas at- and that, was ping pong.
Leo had started playing ping pong at age eight- he had four brothers, all younger or older than him, so he had much time to himself- and he decided he'd pick up on a hobby. Very soon, he became the greatest pong player in the city. At the age of 16, he went to his first championship- which he won. Soon, he was renown all over the world, notoriously known as 'Paddleball', and beat legions of ping pong players, becoming undefeated in the sport.
Now, back to Thomas Collier. Thomas hated Leo from the bottom of his heart, because of how he was not the better man at ping pong- so, in the middle of the night, Thomas violently pushed Leo out of a window. By the time the paramedics arrived, severe brain damage had taken place. But they knew exactly what to do in this situation.
As his parents literally payed every dime they had to save Leo, he was attached to a robotic mechanism that was implanted into his brain, fixing the brain damage- and doing so much more. When he got out of the hospital, Leo played a game of ping pong once more, and found the ball moved almost in slow motion to him. Hitting it with ease, Leo found he could do this all day- having the ball slow down when he needed it most, though he didn't need it much at all to win. It was a miracle.
The night after that game, Leo was walking home with his paddle when he was jumped by a younger boy with a gun. Having nothing but his paddle, Leo used his newfound ability to slow down time so he could hit the bullet out of the air, then proceeded to take down the thug.
Amazed by this, Leo decided he'd make some new paddles. Using the last of his college money, he bought some metals, which he welded into paddles, with razor sharp edges. He'd gotten a letter from his parents, demanding some money, and he was going to save the family fortune. Going out to local banks and more, he held up different places across Gothic, making a fortune and giving it all to his folks at home. However, Leo was not a bad man. He stopped stealing right after he had gave the money to his parents, and his identity was unknown- simply going by Paddleball.
Ashamed of stealing, Leo left Gothic- travelling all across the world, and training under different martial artists, as he had decided what to do with himself now- to become a top level hero, like the ones he saw on the news. Years later, he went back to a grizzled, darker Gothic City, and got right to work on making it a better place with his two paddles.
After serving some time in Gothic, Leo met Thomas Bastion- aka, Atomikill. Teaching him everything he knew, Leo and Tommy soon became very good friends for life.
Powers/Abilities
- Reaction Time- Leo is superhuman when it comes to reaction time. In fact, it's been recorded he has attosecond reaction time, when he's trying real hard.
- Martial Arts- Leo is a world class martial artist.
- Paddles- Leo is adept at using bladed paddles for weaponry.
