Sure, if someone wanted to use the system on a chart that would be really cool. I don't expect the CV Card makers to rework their entire format just for an idea we have though; they already put a lot of work into it and they don't exactly get paid ;-)

2. Explosives skill it can be used to determine how well you are at disarming bombs (Maybe we should use a Fall Out Style based system?)

@pyrogram: I can see where he/she is coming from. Sometimes, I don't even feel like typing my own bio, nor reading that of someone I'm writing with, let alone read that of every person just to get a gauge of where my character is at in relation to them. I've managed pretty fine. But some of these people have really long bios, and some of them are constantly changing, so I can see the perception that it's a lot of unnecessary work to learn every person.

Plus heckling is just more fun, and that's what's probably gonna drive more people. If it sounds like a lot of work, it won't hold as much.

But then, I think it also depends on what's driving you, and a few factors surrounding that. A personal thing.

That's again a skill though. Not a character rank IMO.

@arquitenens: I think a simple battle bio (saying powers/abilities) is all that's needed. Long bios have become a trend, I'm guessing which started before my time here.

Skill is best left as an X factor. It's one of those things you generally point at in a bio but specifiy to who your writing with post to post. I wouldn't give skills a ranking system as it takes away from the point of being unique

@_animus_: Believe it or not.. I agree with you on skill. We've had a lot of innovation in the combat skills department, and there have been people making their characters better ground fighters than they are strikers, better kickers than punchers, better with weapons than fists, or more skilled unarmed. The whole 'Skill level X' thing kinda suppresses innovation in these areas and makes everyone seem the same, so I wouldn't be sad if skill rankings were left out.

I kind of like the idea of having 3 types of power scale.

Street leveler -with its own 1-7 category,

Meta Human/ Mutants/ Supernatural being- with its own 1-7 category,

Cosmic/God tier-with its own 1-7 category,

Each category 7 from the lower tier being around equal/lightly less to a tier 1 of the next level up.

This whole topic is something that many people don't even look at in the same perspective, which leads to a separation of idealioligies... Which creates an even further separation when some people even admittedly ignore the presence of beings of a higher caliber. There is an unwillingness for people to play off of one another's strengths and weaknesses. And some certain individuals have maglmaniac sized egoes... What are we supposed to do with that?

I guess that letter and number system makes medusa a P9 speed and S7 strength...

Its a double edge sword sometimes. It is nice to see something established ahead of time cause we've all fallen victim to the, "pullin sh!t out of their ass" battler. Then again sometimes characters just know your abilities and have already compensated for them simply cause they read your abilities Ooc.

I don't even read other people's bio's unless they ask me too. The rest i'd rather figure out on my own and the opposite.

@_animus_: Do you do battles ? Like KoV? I see the perk of exploring oneself, and reading an unsullied clean version of the "live" character version though, but in a competitive environment it's best to know more than less.

@_animus_: Or , you could link the RPG's you've been in on your Mini bio, i think that would fulfill the same purpose.
