Official "I need a new Look!" Thread

INEXPENSIVE FREELANCE GRAPHIC ARTIST FOR HIRE.

Nope not kidding. I can show samples. I do pencil sketch, pen and ink, pen and ink/w color & colour (digital paintings) I've done a freebie for one viner, but I'll have to get his permission to show it. I do full on work professionally. If you'd like your own unique look, I'm happy to help. I'd do it for free, but I need gas money. I won't break the bank, and I happily negotiate. Above is the freebie I did for another Viner. Edit: That was an attempt at John Wayne, the Duke, it was really bad. I was going to use a video, but that wouldn't be easy to find I think.

I kinda need help....

I wanted to use Mary Medina as a look for this character but pictures are very limited. Does anyone know anyone else who has a similar look to her? By similar I mean someone using that sugar skull look lol.

I found Apparition but aside from her face paint, not really what I'm going for.

@elisa_zamora: Lady Deathstrike rocked the sugar skull make up for a bit.

@elisa_zamora: Your best bet might be to nab an assortment from google, tumblr, etc of sugar-skull themed looks and gel them together. Besides Banshee, as D mentioned, I cant think of any character's who use the sugar-skull (or a skull period) as a long term/established look.

I need a new look for this character 'Obviously'. This character is going to be a powerhouse of sorts. Think of a combination of Archer and Lancer from Fate Stay Night in terms of abilities that has acted throughout history as a Prometheus arch character. I strongly dislike an anime look. This character will be true neutral.

@damocles_: Vandal Savage. Noh-Varr. Eradicator. Tangent Superman. Mr. Majestic. Icon. Actually not at all sure what you're going for here.

So I need help with a completely new character. I only have a rough idea of what I "want" at the moment, so I'm open to a lot of things. I only have a few requirements.

• In terms of gender, I'd prefer female. I just feel more comfortable with that.
• I'd like the character be on the younger side when it comes to their age, late teens to early twenties. Of course, the character themselves don't have to be in that age range; they just need to believably look that way.
• Not sure how I want their general appearance to be exactly, but I'd like them to have a mutation that's out in plain view for everyone to see, but not something REALLY weird like having an extra set of arms or eyes; something like an unnatural skin color or a constant aura would be nice. Also, no spandex or any weird stuff like that. I want someone dressed like a normal person.
• Beyond that, I want the character to look... I dunno, down on their luck? I'm not really sure how to describe this part; it could be that they simply look like a homeless person, or that they look pretty roughed up or sickly, or maybe they just don't look very happy. Take it as you will because even I don't know at this point.

Here is an idea of the kind of look I want, and the one that gave me this idea in the first place.

And before you ask, the reason I'm not using her as a look is because she appeared in a single episode of a cartoon before the age of Deviantart and Tumblr, so no craploads of fanart.
