@xenon_: There's a gravitational pull because it's so fat!
Wow.... popular topic I see xD
LOL yeah I dont think (even it was popular) it would solve the actual problem of being more inviting towards new users. In my opinion Thoughty Thoughts should be pinned and that way potential users can see the randomness of it, cultivate some conversations, which will lead to some Q&A's about rpging. TT is basically the Rpg chat thread. It could easily be the "Hey Welcome to the Forum" thread too.
I would like a mentor. No idea who to ask so I'm just going to leave this here.
I'll show you some ropes if you want? First advice would be to find an avatar that helps other rpgers get an idea of what your character looks like.
@tether: Nice av. Any thoughts on how you wanna proceed? Like do you have a handle on the basics? No auto-hits, no godmodding, etc? Do you just wanna throw down some interactions and see what happens? Just trying to get a feel for where you're at.
@shadowswordmaster: I dont know. My comment was more about how this particular thread may not be receiving a ton of posts or activity, but behind the scenes it has generated positive results. I would also encourage any user who wants to mentor and or help newer users get their foot in the door to do so.
People may not be posting in the thread but I personally receive daily pms from new/newer users asking to be mentored or just asking for some general help. Its a step in the right direction if nothing else.
Same here, the thread is good for people just in the door, once they know we don't bite they tend to PM requests.
