Underneath the elegant chateux was a mysterious chamber made of mortar and earth, torches scattered around the round pit like room giving off a smell of smoke and brimstone. Darkness encased the area, and on the walls written in blood were words of ancient text possibly Sanskrit. Lurking inside this dungeon were three men, the first was a ninja casted in a jet black uniform composed of kevlar and a material that repeled light reflection.....the living shadow known as Tenjin. The second was his Captain, Drifter, a warrior that was feared by many for his insanity and combat prowess. The third was a recruit, he went by the name of Neero Daemonhart, someone that Katsuro has never faced or heard of before. This battle was to test out Neero's skill and abilities ordered by Esther herself...Katsuro willing took up the task.

The flickering of the torches let off small embers skywards, disappearing into the shdows of the seemingly endless ceiling. Rafters made of cold rusted steel criss-crossed each other to hold up the foundation of the catacomb. The silence of the men where broken when the ninja spoke up "This will be your test, Neero, if you survive our fight you might just be lucky enough to be amongst our brotherhood. I am Tenjin...I don't plan on going easy on you so prepare yourself" his voice was muffled by a black jackal mask known as an Anbu, he wore this with pride and respect for his affiliation with Les Assassins Silencieux. The mask dipicted the jackal snarling, bearing its long teeth but it was missing its eyes. Tenjin gazed through the holes with percision, his bloodshot eyes surrounded by wrinkles as he squinted to analyze his opponent. His voice still echoed throughout the chamber before Tenjin stepped backwards into the shadows behind him and disappeared. He emerged from the darkness in a crouching position among the highest rafters, like a eagle he clutched the beams with his gloved hands. He breathed steadily and rose to his feet pushing them close together as he reached behind his head and ensnared the hilt of his Ninja-To. The handle was encased in a foam like substance used for impact resistance but formed around his fingers and palms giving him unparalleled grip. Slowly drawing the blade from the fixed scarrbard revealing a blackened blade only a razor sharp edge revealed the true metal under the paint. Spinning the blade in his left hand then ceasing now holding it in a reverse grip. Hidden behind his mask was a smirk then errupted from his mouth a loud command "Let us begin!" With a perfect corkscrew front flip he was in a swan dive now, in a free fall downards letting the metal bars pass him by before pulling his feet below him as he passed the final rafter.

Sliding his hand into a pouch on his right thigh and in between his fingers were chrome plated shuriken and brung the fist towards his chest before flinging them towards Neero like rain, sending six shuriken barrel end over end, hoping to tear into the man's flesh. Before crashing into the sand like floor he disappeared into another shadow, preventing his legs from shattering from the fall. He hid for a moment and watched from the darkness his opponent's moves until he rose from Neero's own shadow half way only revealing his arms and torso. Tenjin gripped the hilt of his weapon with great pressure before sending the blade in a swift slash to attempt tear into Neero's achilles tendons.

With his feet planted solidly on the ground, Neero drew his five-and-a-half-foot greatsword. the young man was a little taller than six feet, and he pulled the blade off of his back with his right hand, the mechinism that held the sword diagonally in place releasing the blade. His black overcoat whirled around as he pulled out his large, silver pistol from the shoulder holster under his jacket. He fired two rounds, stopping a few of the shuriken, but the rest hit his chest with precision, and he cried out in pain. His four-inch-long, platinum blonde hair went awry as the force of the shuriken sent Neero stumbling backwards, the light of the torches catching the sight of the vertical scar running down the center of his right eye.
He felt Tenjin's blade cut into his heel and he fell to the floor in a mass of clothing. The form that was Neero sank back into the shadows, the Shadow Doppelganger, or clone, having succedded in its mission. The real Neero stepped out from the shadow from behind Tenjin and fired a single shot at the back of the ninja's head, then charged him to try and end this fight quickly. Drawing his blade, Neero let out a warcry.
