Ooc: Soundwave use the Ooc Mortal Combat thread to ask questions. Not this one. If you don't know the rules you probably shouldn't join. Or at least go read them and then come back.
"PRIME HAS BEEN EXCUSED FROM BATTLE!!!", the voice called out. Beams of light appeared around Prime, and then a flash, teleporting him away from the arena. With the recent Fatality, the crowd was not too disappointed. But they were eager for more bloodshed.
Prime had been teleported away and so Gambler stood alone looking at the crowd and the fresh blood still on the ground. His eyes glowed red as his coat flapped behind him. Would anyone dare challenge him?
Mantid's boots stepped on the arena's ground. The stench of blood was still in the air, and in the ground. There, Gambler stood. "I, dare challenge you" Mantid said looking directly at Gambler's red glowing eyes.
Mantid was distracted and was hit in the jaw by Gambler. Mantid was thrown a few feet away. Without wasting any time he stood up and threw a few exploding light balls going for Gambler's head.
"COPYCAT SHAMAN SEEKS AN OPPONENT!!!", the voice boomed. He was not letting any interruption happen in these new battles. Two duels of 1-on-1 were about to take place.
Gambler looked to see who the new hero was and had no time to dodge Mantids attack. He quickly threw several kinetically charged cards up in front of his face to take the blunt of thee attack. But the explosion sent him crashing into the wall of the arena. His face was badly burned on the right side and blood dripped from his noise.
Smoke still hovered around his face as he got to his feet. As he whipped away the blood rage filled his soul. He started to run towards Mantid picking up speed as he went until he reached an all out sprint. Taking his staff he hurled it passed Mantid and then with his telekinesis pulled it back towards the back of Mantid's head. Post Edited:2007-08-14 15:04:09
The crowd watched this battle. Mantid had drawn first blood, and it was only going to get better from here. Meanwhile, a portion of the crowd was waiting to see who the new duelers would be.
Mantid had no form to dodge this and was hit in the neck badly. Mantid fell to the ground. He moved quickly away from Gambler and stood up. Mantid then flew up into the sky, and went flying down towards Gambler with a fist about to his him in the face.
"A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES COPYCAT SHAMAN!!!", the voice announced again. The crowd gasped, and a light appeared in the sky. Many of the crowd shielded their eyes, while some stared transfixed. Falling from the heavens, Scene Kid came. He landed on the ground perfectly, and a crater and dust appeared. Glowing, Scene Kid readied himself, and went into a fighting stance in front of Copycat Shaman. His wounds were healed, and his fatigue was gone. The crowd cheered.
Scene kid's voice resonated and the crowd went wild once more,he tightened his gloves and dusted off his jacket,he pulled on his mask.He stood in an arrogant manner waiting for his opponet.
The quickness of Mantid caught Gambler be surprise. He had not counted on Mantid's speed and strength and took the punch full on sending through the arena wall and up into the stands. A trail of broken bleachers and bystanders littered the arena's upper deck.
Gambler emerged from a pile of debris and body's bloody and holding his side. With a flick of his wrists 5 glowing cards appeared in both his hands.
"You wanna play games? Okay, lets play."
He flipped back down into the arena and hurled one set of cards above Mantid's head and the other at his feet. Post Edited:2007-08-14 15:18:22
Scene Kid had seen it before it was Beuteka's first move in his last battle,he quickly dodged it and did a hand stand propelling himself in the air,he then came back down with a Roundhouse.
As Gambler plunged into the stands, the crowd was still transfixed on the battle. Thirty spectators died, but the gods replaced them with 40 more to fill the void. The one's near Gambler stared at him, keeping their distance.
"COPYCAT SHAMAN HAS BEEN EXCUSED FROM THE BATTLE!!!", the voice called out. Beams of light appeared around Copycat Shaman, and then a flash, and he was warped away from the arena.
"A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES SCENE KID!!!', the voice announced. The crowd turned.
Sparda's boots hit the arena dirt floor. "Let's do this", he said to Scene Kid. He drew his sword Reqiuem.
Mantid watched as the cards came at him, he didn't know much about them, but he wasn't going to wait to find out. Mantid was about to fly but saw that there were five above. Mantid leaped backwards and dodged the cards.
He fell to the ground crouched. He started to mumble to himself a few words. And then, his fist ignited and Mantid stood up, he shot a beam of paralizing light going for Gambler.
Gambler watched as Mantid dodged his cards and was impressed with his agility. Suddenly Mantid shot a blast of energy directly at Gambler, leaping into thee air and doing the splits the beam passed under neath him and caved in a section of the stands.
This was by far the most destructive battle yet. A sharp pain ran down Gambler's side, a rib had been broken after Mantid's punch sent him through a wall. He blocked out the pain as best he could, using his telekinesis he picked up a piece of the destroyed wall and flung it at Mantid.
Mantid was surprised by Gambler's speed. Most opponents would have been hit by the beam and paralyzed. Mantid watched Gambler wasted no time and used his telekinesis to throw a peice of the debree at him. Mantid threw a paralyzing beam at the peice of wall coming at him. The wall was hit by the beam and was paralyzed in the air.
"What a waste of paralyzing beams," Mantid thought to himself. He floated into the air. And threw a burning light ball at Gambler. Unlike the exploding light balls, the burning light balls would burn through anything.
With almost no time to react Gambler used his telekinesis to bring a chunk of the arena up to block the blast, but it did nothing more then give him enough time to barley dive out of the way. A corner of the blast had caught his hand and removed it. The heat burned the wound on contact and stopped the bleeding.
"MY HAND!!!!!" yelled Gambler
With his good hand he took out several more cards, charged them and let them fly at Mantid's head.
Mantid was caught off guard and was hit by the cards. Mantid fell to ground with blood on his face. Mantid had to survive, he couldn't die now. He stood up with blood dripping from his face, and noticed Gambler's hand had been burned off. Mantid started to run at his full speed and a few feet away from Gambler he leaped into the air, did a back flip and landed on the ground. Mantid tried throwing another paralyzing beam, but he had forgotten that he could only do this every ten minutes. Six minutes had passed. Mantid wouldn't wait for that time to come. He threw one more exploding light ball at Gambler. Mantid didn't wait to see if the light ball hit Gambler. He fell to the ground. He couldn't take much more, the cards had seriously injured him.
"None shall interfere in this grand battle!", the voice of the gods announced. Ethreal chains of light appeared around Prime, pinning him to the stands until the battle ended.

prime smiled at the chains around him and focused his heat vision on them burning them off

Gambler tried to use his telekinesis to stop the energy ball but couldn't. It crashed into him and exploded, smoke was everywhere and small fires burned around the arena.
Gambler had been sent head over heals into the wall on the other side of the stadium. His upper body was mangled and scared. His coat and shirt had been melted to his flash and his arm had been blown off. He sat slumped over with his back against the wall and blood flowing from his ears, mouth and eyes.
He tried to get to his feet and fell, he tried again to stand on shaky legs. He limped towards Mantid taken out the rest of his cards and charging them. With what little strength he had left he flung them at Mantid.
""The tournament of Mortal Kombat needs no spectators other than itself" A flash took place, and Mantid and Gambler were teleported far, far away, the marrier still intact around them. They were atop a flat-topped pyramid, rain raging down, lightning flashing, wind whipping."

Mantid was half-dead on the ground. He looked up, his face was covered in blood and dit. He noticed they weren't in the arena anymore. There was rain falling from the sky and lightning everywhere. "Could this be heaven? or hell?" Mantid thought to himself, but all his thoughts were erased when he saw Gambler still there. Mantid got up on his knees. He noticed a few cards coming at him.
Nothing left in Mantid's mind. Blood all over his face, burned flesh and broken bones. Mantid knew this was his end. The cards exploted in his face and body, and was left on his knees, still with life. But he couldn't do anything, all his bones had been broken. This was the end for him.
Gambler could barley stand. With a flick of his wrist his staff flew up from the ground into his hand. He slowly walked over to Mantid dragging his left leg behind him. Looking down on Mantid he quickly took his staff and jammed it down Mantid's throat and out his lower back impaling him. Then taking his finger and gently charging the rod with just a little kinetic energy he stepped back and watched as a bolt of lightning shot down and struck the pull electrocuting Mantid and burning his body to ash.
"Flawless victory", the voice commended Gambler. Gambler's wounds instantly healed. "Here is your reward", the voice called out, and a staff with the statue of a skull on top floated from the sky into Gambler's hands.
A black blur hit the gravel ground of the arena with force. Dust flew up, and a crater was caused. The arena shook. Out of the dust rose Maxim, lord of the underworld.

Scene Kid jumped from the stands and looked on as the crowd roared,he was a Favorite by now.
"Maxim laughed at this newcomer. He was going to enjoy this. Charging his hand, he launched 3 destructive balls of dark energy at Scene Kid. OoC: I'm Sparda, just so you know."

Scene Kid,laughed at this gesture hes fought many opponets that were sronger then him and earned there respect if he didnt kill him he would get some respect.The Balls of dark energy synged past Scene kid,and nearly burnt him,he was fine though and rolled to the left sending a Howling Sonic scream
The scream hit Maxim, but he wasn't hurt. It sent him flying into the wall from the concussive blast. He shrugged off the damage, and zoomed at Scene Kid aiming a destructive punch.
