Name: Skytale
Gender: Shapeshifter
Alignment: Lawful evil
Endgame: Immortality
Origin
Skytale comes from Maerik, a world some call the “magic planet” because of it’s near limitless supply of mana. On Maerik, magic is so common that it is often taken for granted. Magical gate ports allow for instantaneous planetary travel, healers can cure almost any disease, even some of Maerik's animals have evolved magical abilities. Some of Maerik’s best wizards once set out to create a perfect man. This hero would be so powerful that none could stand against him. He would vanquish the forces of evil and bring peace and prosperity to Maerik. They named their creation Skytale. At first, Skytale seemed to be a success. He was the greatest warrior and the most talented mage that Maerik had ever seen. However, he had one major flaw. In an attempt to make him fearless and incorruptible, the wizards had dulled Skytale’s emotions. He was not without feeling, he just had a “quiet heart”. This resulted in him having no compassion, little empathy, and no understanding of good or evil. When the wizards realized their mistake and how dangerous Skytale would be if they set him free, they tried to destroy him. Skytale, however, had already outsmarted his creators and had been waiting for his chance to escape. He used his wits and his magic to fake his destruction and let the wizards think he had been vanquished. He then spent several years wandering Maerik before finding his way to Earth.
Personality
Skytale makes all of his decisions logically. When solving a problem, he picks the most logical solution without hesitation. He is also a sociopath and doesn’t do anyone any favors unless it benefits him in some way. Skytale’s way of life revolves around masters and servants. According to his philosophy, every sentient being should be either a master or a servant. One should serve someone more powerful than him/her or be served by those weaker than him/her. Servants are rewarded with protection for their loyalty. Masters are rewarded with loyalty for their protection. Both parties benefit from this relationship. Skytale believes this to be the best way of life and believes devils to be the finest example of it.
Powers and abilities
Skytale is one of the most formidable foes in the universe. Though he is powerful and skilled enough to hold his own against most opponents, his cunning and his intellect is what makes him a force to be reckoned with. Trying to outsmart Skytale is like playing chess with a supercomputer. He always has a plan and he’s always thinking 20 steps ahead.
Skytale’s body was crafted to be perfect in every way. His physiology is similar to Captain America’s as far as strength, speed, senses, and reaction time. He can alter his body's appearance at will, making him an elusive foe. He has a healing factor that lets him heal serious injuries such as gunshot wounds in less than a day. (fatal wounds cannot heal) Once fully healed, it is as if Skytale was never injured. Only the most potent of poisons affect Skytale. His armed and unarmed skill is comparable to the likes of Gamora.
Second only to his mind, magic is one of Skytale’s greatest tools. Using magic, he has eliminated his need for food, water, and sleep. He can use magic for mind reading, transmutation, invisibility, and of course, destruction. (He’s a D&D character, so basically any D&D spell is at his disposal)
