@james_hawkins: Can I, uh, sign up for this?
@darkknightwing: send a pm to his alt, demien bonaparte
@vivide: Will do, thanks.
@just_an_average_man: I'm up for a tenant, considering that my last candidates vanished into the aether.
@james_hawkins: Sure. Was also thinking could do something like being a guard or maybe even training other neighbors to be on watch.
It would be like the neighborhood watch to watch over the place at night.
Only with pistols and assault rifles.
@maverick_6: Holy crap that last bit is a tad too radical o_O
@just_an_average_man: Its alright. Im for teaching them self defense and stuff. Just keep it non-lethal.
@james_hawkins: That is true. I keep forgetting, Elliot is trying to be non-lethal too....
Should have something up, some time, whenever I get to this.
@arquitenens: Its called this, my dear.
#SassMaster
@james_hawkins: I already tried that. Unfortunately all searches for "this" came up empty.

I'll consider a lease.
"Staves."

Night vision goggles?"

"Assorted guns?"

"Mini-Fridge?"
"Check. Ok, that seems to be it."
"Ugh. That was grueling. Thanks, Noel. I should be fine for now." Kelly surveyed his new accommodations with mild interest. He had arranged the rent with the landlord, and spent the last few hours moving boxes of his crap and then arranging it, with the help of Noel, his partner. "So, about Scotland..." Noel rolled his eyes and sighed. "I don't want to talk about it, mate." It had been a huge $hitstorm, ending in Kelly getting shot several times. Noel left in a hurry, and Kelly put a piece of toast in the microwave, spread peanut butter on it, and began to munch on it in a beanbag chair. He turned on the TV and saw yet another explosion on the news. "Feels like home."

Not really. Maybe. IDK.
Seriously Kendra, you didn't bring a jackhammer? Who doesn't bring a jackhammer to a remodeling? What are the odds anyone else here happens to have one? Or maybe they're like Superman and can punch it really hard. Luna Hawk sighed as she walked through the halls of the apartment complex determined to borrow...well...a jackhammer. The Center Fold Hero eventually came to Kelly's door and knocked. She always wore her helmet in public but here in the apartment complex she felt it was ok to go without it.
@lunahawk: "Uh, hi. You moving in?" Kelly blinked a few times, finally moving out of the doorway and allowing entry. "You met the landlord yet? Weird guy."
She smiled a bit. "He is a bit weird isn't he? I've been remodeling my apartment and rather embarrassingly realized I don't have a jackhammer. I've been going door to door hoping to borrow one but I'm sure you can imagine the odds of that working."
@lunahawk: "As it happens, I do have a jackhammer, because I am a bit paranoid when it comes to the home." Based on the appearance of his visitor, she was no stranger to the strange, so he felt somewhat comfortable around her, which was unusual, because he rarely felt uncomfortable around beautiful women. "I hide my weapons in the walls, but the jackhammer is in the closet." Opening aforementioned closet, he revealed a huge stash of power tools and one sniper rifle. Handing the jackhammer off to Luna Hawk, he posed a seemingly simple question. "So, what do you do?"
She grinned, taking the jack hammer and gripping it with one hand, easily strong enough to just hold onto it for now. "Excellent, thank you. I'm Luna Hawk and I do what I can for Gothic City's innocent civilians. You might recognize me more easily if I had my helmet on but I don't tend to wear it around the apartments. I take it from your supply of weapons and that excellent sniper rifle that you can say the same?"
@lunahawk: "Sadly, not anymore. I got out of the heroing business when a friend died, but when Conti Tower started exploding, some rich guy recruited me to check it out. I'm his security now. I got a place here because Gothic is a hellhole and I want to do my best to fight it. I know how cliche that sounds, but..." Kelly's normally cheerful face briefly darkened at the mention of his friend, but he recovered quickly.
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that. I lost someone important to me about a year ago and you're right about Gothic, but there are a lot of good people trying to save it. I've seen cities like it before, there's at least one every generation, some of them come out of it, some of them don't." Luna Hawk said, her mind wandering back temporarily to events several thousand years ago in another life time.
@lunahawk: Kelly gave the winged warrior a funny look, and immediately realized that she was powered, possibly immortal. "Anything more I an do to help with your place? I'm good with demolition? Or, y'know, less destructive stuff." He flashed a smile.
"Oh sure if you want to. I'm working on installing a vault and I could always use some help setting the door and getting things a bit more organized. Solar Hawk is helpful and all but she's busy with STRIKE right now. It's remarkably difficult to find an apartment that will let you do as much work as I've been doing. My last apartment got rather thoroughly destroyed so I'm working on this one now."
@lunahawk: Kelly gave a little laugh and nodded. "Sounds good. I'll just get my power saw."
Once he was ready she took him back to her apartment which was...well rather a mess. She had organized large portions of it but the rest had been stripped down to the studs to be rebuilt to her liking. The vaulted area was full of assorted weapons of every conceivable sort. "Excuse the mess." She said as they strode into the room. "It's still a work in progress, as you can see. I don't always have as much time to work on it as I would like."
@orpheus_knightfall: There is already a bar, but you can work it if you want.
@lunahawk: It was hours later, and much of the work on the apartment was done. Kelly plopped down on a chair, giving a huge yawn. "Well, I'd better get some sleep. I am much less pleasant in the morning, but if you wouldn't mind, I thought we, ah, might... Never mind." Kelly had never been comfortable around women, and when Cynthia had died, it hadn't helped.
