"Starks? Light Starks?" One by one, brave men and women stepped forward. Blind belief in their country and its leaders had propelled many to join the cape killers from the ranks of both civilians and militia alike. Their patriotic hearts plunged them deeper into the rabbit hole then one could ever imagine. A project that accelerated the human evolution to unfathomable levels was being conducted at key locations within the states.
A brown haired, broad shouldered man stepped forward the moment his name was called. His striking, chiseled features and strong posture was a testament to his confidence as he strutted. "Follow me, Mr. Starks." The two walked side by side down a long corridor. To the left and right were many rooms in which subjects were undergoing the transformation. From the quick glances he caught Light picked up on a machine that may be what they use to make everything possible. As the couple strode along the assistant had been relaying the details of the experiment to Light. For the most part he ignored her words and warnings. Nothing could dissuade him. This was his opportunity to become something greater. No, it was his destiny.
They reached the end of the hall and entered a small room. The assistant closed the door behind him but did not accompany him inside. Before him was a large room that from the outside looking in was incredibly spacious. The same machine he'd seen in other rooms stood at the center of the space and beside the entrance stood an older gentleman in a white lab coat. He stepped toward Light with a weak smile. "Remove your wardrobe Mr. Starks and enter the genome chamber." Light acted without hesitation. Before long he stepped inside the metallic chamber. Naturally he was cold, and he began shivering as the sliding doors closed. An opening surfaced at the center of the floor and a metal table rose from the orifice. "Place your body upon the table." Light followed the order lying down. Latches sprung from four key locations on the table, effectively restraining the young man. Multiple slots appeared from the ceiling, mechanical arms extended out from them with surgical needles at the tip. Without warning the needles pierced his skin, injecting a serum intravenously. Suddenly he could feel his blood flowing like never before. His vision began to blur and before long he was incapacitated.
Light regained consciousness in a matter of minutes. The scientist ran a couple of preliminary test and Light was then suited up and dispatched into the city with one specific order. Apprehend all mutant kind.
"This is unbelievable." The scientist said to the assistant who'd escorted the man to the experimentation center. "His dna sequence is unlike the others. His strength levels are off the charts. This one may be a problem. Inform Dr. Frank and Mr. Lebeau of our findings."
