The silver climbing axe broke through the icy Tibetan mountain, Ronin pulled himself up, taking another step higher, his muscles stabbing with pain. The cold was beginning to seep through his black mask and affect his vision, barely allowing him to see through the blizzard. Oz had underestimated the weather, not realizing the severity of the snow storm. He'd had become sloppy these passed few days, looking for his friend and leader Kenshin, the clues had taken him all across the world. Now with very little sleep, a fatigued body, and a dropping body temperature, he wished he was somewhere warmer and as if his prayer were heard, a bright light engulfed him.

The ninja lowered his hands from his face, realizing he was no longer cold, his body no longer ached, and he felt well rested. Had he died and gone to heaven? No, these men were too goofy to be god, their spastic movements and wacky entrance had proven that. They were beings of great power though, powerful enough to imprison his friend Kenshin... Could the two be The Last Samurai's jailers? There was only one way to find out. Ronin peeled off the winter jacket, taking a glance at the hosts, he exhaled then took a final step into the cube.

The same bright light consumed Ronin, causing him to squeeze his eyelids shut. The sense deprivation that came with this celestial form of transportation was broken by rhythmic sounds of machinery and the poignant smell of farming, which was a very strange combination. Oz opened his eyes, giant, eerie facility revealed before him, with a mixture of metal and plant life surrounding him.

Ozzy Winters knew this was no time for sight seeing, he swiftly darted off heading towards the most common place a computer would be in a facility like this, his instincts were not wrong, he had found one in no time. He leaned over the chair and towards the keyboard, pressing a few keys and breaking through the firewall in seconds, he pulled an extension cord from his gauntlet, plugging it into the computer and downloading the blueprints of the building. Ronin knew there would be super powered beings in this competition, so he wouldn't be pulling any punches considering he had no powers of his own.

The ninja pulled out an explosive, attaching it to the computer, he wouldn't allow his opponent to do the same reconnaissance. Ronin stepped back into the shadows as the explosion echoed through the building, there was no telling if Ronin would make the last attack of this soon to be hellish fight, but he would certainly make the first.

@dwronin:

Kiros, known to the mortals as Victor Grey, the God of Elements waited in his private quarters, situated in the beautiful and alluring realm of Asgard, the time was almost nigh. Having recently woken up from Odinsleep, Kiros commanded the great power of the now deceased legendary god, who had perished to ensure Asgards' safety in its darkest hour, choosing the young god as his successor. But Kiros had no qualms to rule Asgard. He was a warrior, not a leader.

As if awaken from his recollections, a bright light encompassed the god, as he closed his eyes, having expected this moment. Immediately he was transported, to a different world. The sounds of his own thoughts disappeared as he materialised in a dark and abandoned area, a large space that may've once housed a desperate society, now reduced to a mausoleum. Shutting out the noise of his own thoughts completely, the god listened for any sounds other than his own. Someone was here with him, someone he must defeat. Kiros was a pawn in a larger game, a game that he must play. He must appease the hosts by defeating the other champion.

He did not need to look far, an explosion indicated the approximate area where his opponent no doubt waited. Without Odinsforge, Kiros had lost much of his power, but with the power once known as Odinforce, he now had great strength to face this threat. What lay ahead may be an ambush, his opponent waited for him to come, so that he may no doubt overcome him from an advantageous hiding spot. But it would not be. Advancing to the location from where he'd heard the sound, Kiros could see perfectly with his enhanced vision. From a distance, he could see what was a computer, now destroyed. With his smell, he discerned it had been a bomb explosive, his opponent was likely to rely on technology, this could prove advantageous for the God of Elements, who could control electricity without aid.

Summoning his power of electricity, Kiros discharged a powerful shock, which would destroy all the nearby structures, rendering their near surroundings flat, so that there would be no place to hide. The nearby falling structures would also threaten to bury his opponent, or at least injure him. Kiros was not fighting to kill, he needed only to defeat the opposition, but there was no promise his opponent would do the same.

Ronin, hidden in the shadows, watched the location where the bomb went off, expecting his combatant to follow the noise. Feeling the air change, the hair on the back of his neck began to rise, he knew something powerful was approaching. Ronin activated his masks enhanced sight to see his opponent heading his way as expected. The man was in what seemed to be Asgardian armor, from first glance. Ronin studied Victor as Victor studied the bomb scene. What the ninja could discern by his opponents calm and pensive behavior was that he was smart, possibly tactical, and had heightened senses, Ronin would have to use all of his ninjitsu training if he wanted to continue hiding, but maybe he could use the mans senses against him as well.

Ronin was about to strike, until he felt his hair begin to rise from the back of his neck again and a tingling sensation rushing from his skin and towards the Asgardian. The attacker was summoning an electric attack, Oz would have to react quickly. He raised his hand, shooting out a grappling hook from his gauntlet and propelling into the air, at the same time grabbing a few explosives and throwing them towards his attacker, there would be no time for hiding.

As the electric blast tore through the facility, burying Ronin's previous hiding spot, the ninja in two swift movements released his grappling hook from the wall, attached a few cartridges to his arrows and placed them on his bow. The first arrow hit the ground in front of Ronin's opponent, simultaneously releasing a copious amount of smoke from the cartridge, hoping to blind his opponent. Ronin activated his thermo vision, releasing two more arrows, with attached freeze cartridges, aimed for the mans feet and the other aimed for the man's dominate hand. Ronin glided through the air, hoping to stomp on the man's chest, he landed on his feet, then jumped up sending a hard spin kick to Victor's face and a strong punch, with his regular fist, to the gut. He wasn't sure how strong his opponent was, but these attacks would give him some idea.

@dwronin: His elusive opponent had been forced to make himself seen as he grappled from his hiding location, while simultaneously using explosives which were thrown towards Kiros. Raising his hands instinctively to protect himself, the explosions, while powerful, did little harm to the god. The next cartridge the skillful ninja fired was a smoke cartridge, I mustn't lose my opponent so soon. In a desperate bid to keep his eyes on the ninja, Kiros leaped out of the smoke the second it hit the ground, only to be hit by what seemed to be an ice grenade, which instead of hitting his hand, had found its mark on his left knee. The other grenade had flown by him entirely. now fully in the air as his opponent was. Kiros, with his red cape flowing behind him, Kiros found it hard to keep his momentum due to the ice on his knee. initiated an uppercut punch, containing enough strength to break his opponents chest, aimed at the solar plexus.

@victorgrey:

Ronin soon realized he had underestimated his opponent. Thinking of Victor as a man and not a god, was the first setback, underestimating Victors reaction time was the second, he wouldn't make the same mistake in the future. The god jumped up at Ronin and even though the freeze cartridge slowed his opponent down, he was still quite fast, thanks to the Asgardian DNA no doubt. Oz reacted on pure instinct, blocking the uppercut with his bow, this only slightly slowed down the attack, connecting to his chest and knocking the wind out of the him. Fueled by instinct, adrenaline, and the pain caused by the gods punch, Ozzy Winters raised his left fist up, shooting his arm mounted grappling hook at the gods left shoulder. Whether the hook found it's target or hit the cultivating machine behind his opponent, he would still propel towards Kiros and send a punch at the gods chin, a punch that was capable of going through steel thanks to his robotic right arm. Oz saw a glimpse of the gods powers thanks to the possible rib breaking punch to the solar plexus, he knew there was no holding back if he had any hopes of winning.

@dwronin:

The two well trained fighters sparred with each other, none yet dealing a decisive blow which would win them the battle. The ninja had craftily used his bow to weaken Kiros' incoming attack, now shooting a grappling hook at the good. The God of the Elements flexed his legs, so that the ice locking his knees broke, allowing him mobility once more, but not in time to dodge the grappling hook which now latched onto his left shoulder. Next came the ninjas' punch, coming at him with admirable courage, not backing down in the face of overwhelming odds. The punch had ruined Kiros' balance, as he landed on the ground below, its material tearing around him. It's time to end this, access the Odinforce. Kiros summoned the mighty power, stressing his own will and concentration to harness it. He fired an almighty energy blast, aimed right at the roof of the abiotic environment, to expose them to the harsh world above.

The roof began to come apart, falling down in large pieces towards the two combatants, his opponent was human, and he was a god, he would survive. Kiros leaped up towards the world above, a world now uninhabitable due to the fallout of nuclear war, a world in which his opponent could not survive. Radiation from this desolate environment was already poring in to the colony below, which would become a serious issue for his opponent, if he wasn't already buried under the ceiling. The god known on Midgard as Victor Grey now looked down upon the destruction he'd caused, wondering what happened to his enemy below.

@victorgrey:

Ronin felt deja vu as the hair on the back of his neck began to rise again, Kiros was an opponent like no other. He had put all he had into that punch, any harder and his cybernetic arm would have taken damage, yet the attack had merely dazed the Asgardian. Kiros had even broken the ice on his knee, removing another handicap in the Umbra ninjas favor. Ronin now realized he had gone by this fight all wrong, there was no way he'd be able to sneak around and send concise attacks at his opponent nor would he be able to go head on and spar with the powerful god, there was only one way he'd win, with his intelligence and the very dwindling resources surrounding him. Oz could feel the power radiating from Kiros' presence and as Kiros looked up to send his potentially game-ending attack towards the roof and expose the two to radiation, Ronin had disappeared.

When the resourceful Ozzy Winters, son of two very intelligent researchers, downloaded information from the database of Colony #815 he didn't stop at maps, he downloaded it's history as well. This version of earth was not cursed by radiation thanks to a war between humans, similar to what our world had come close to countless times, this world was bombarded by nuclear blasts thanks to a foreign alien race that were immune to radiation and knew the horrible effects it would do to this planet and it's species. Each Colony was created not only to house and feed it's human population, but also to fend off from the foreign alien race. Most colonies fell, but #815 survived thanks to their, immune to radiation fighter Mech's, called Hantā's. Hantā's were created by the very intelligent, surviving, Japanese military scientists. Hantā's could be piloted manually, remotely or by voice. They were twelve feet tall, 400 tons, thanks to the vibranium metal, but still swift and agile. They housed missiles, Gatling guns, and wrist mounted swords and luckily for Ronin, there were a few left on the premise of Colony #815.

The ground which was now littered by the debris from the ceiling stayed quiet and for a time Kiros probably thought he had won, but slowly the ground began to shake, the battle was not yet over. The twelve foot tall Hantā smashing through the floor the two combatants once fought on, signifying they had been housed in the basement. Ronin piloted it gracefully, always being one to adapt to new technology quickly. He flew through the radiated sky, unaffected by the poison, finally hovering in front of the mighty God. "You are a great opponent, probably the greatest I have ever stood against." He paused, as four more Hantā's smashed through the basement ceiling and joined them, surrounding the god. "It was truly an honor."

"Hantā's!" Ronin yelled in a militaristic fashion. "Suppressive fire!" The other Mech's followed his orders, shooting missiles and bullets aimed for the god, aimed to slow him down. Ronin's own Mech sprung towards the god, sword unsheathed, if Ronin had to use the other Hantā's, he would at least take the killing blow for himself. He swung the vibranium blade for the gods neck, then pulled it back, sending one final thrust to the gods stomach. He didn't know what would happen next, all he knew was this battle was soon over.
