Cassius wasnt quite sure why he was fighting. It was clear he was starting to weather and soon he wouldnt he able to keep up, yet he couldnt resist the chance to test his mettle and this tournament though insane and fraught with danger would certainly do that. A few weeks had passed since he signed up and he suddenly found himself pulled to a place completely unfamiliar to him. A towering modern city or at least so he thought, his gaze flowing up a large building its several floors towering over him, but then the weird starting to kick in as he saw in the distance a street in the sky and cars driving across it. " Where the hell am i" the only thought that crossed his mind as a voice entered loudly around him.

"ROUND 1 Amazing Angel Vs Cassius Knightfall. Winner by death, KO or submission. Gentlemen prepare to fight. THREE.... TWO ...ONE."

Soon as the voice had finished Cassius ran from the street into the cover of the nearest building and pulled out his guns. Slidding behind a counter and looking towards the entrance waiting for the first sight of his opponent. Was this guy really an angel? would he have wings?. Best try and limit his space if he could fly. But how was he going to harm or trick a creature such as solider of god, when he was just a man with a gun. Unsure as yet on what to do he simply smiled as his mind filled with ideas on what he could try.

A thousand footsteps positioned in a perfect trail followed the white cloaked man through his mysterious trek, the sun forcefully looming over the vast endless dessert, forcing all though beneath it into permanent submission. This journey was not a journey of ‘why’ but one of ‘what’, ‘how’ and he was soon about to discover where, the traveller forced his way though the miles of molten sand and razor sharp storms, his eyelids resting over his corneas, blinding him from any and all distractions from whatever his next calling was, he simply walked and waited for the right time to open them.

“Huh?” He uttered, bemused at the sight of an ancient pyramid, standing seemingly unencumbered by the thousands of years of abuse old buildings endure, what was this place? he had no idea… but he felt something, something not from this reality.

One Week Later

Here it was, the ‘KOV’ tournament, the name baffled the Heavenly Harbinger but there was no time for him to be concerned with anything other than the task at hand and the full effects of this pocket universe he now found himself in, fighting for his survival one more time. “Hmm, not the weirdest place I’ve ever woken up in…” he muttered as he walks the dilapidated corridors of an abandoned and positively unearthly skyscraper, he waltzes to the other side of the rooms and presses the call button on the tower’s elevator… it does nothing, his mind 's gears seem to click into place as he rolled his neck around to the stairwell sign, it reads ‘floor 34’ he then rolls his neck back around as his eyes lock on to the window.

*CRASH!!* Glass explodes like a firework as the Angel vaults through the multi story window, his mutates his pearlescent white bo staff into a climbing hook and chain lobbing it into the empty frame and securing himself for the time being, he draws his gun from the left side holster and points it outward. The gun audibly hums almost angelically as he alteres it’s purpose from a means of offensive attack to a method of rapid propulsion… so in other words “BLAST OFF!!” the blast shoves him with mighty force for a split seconds before the chain tightens, his feet forced against the outer wall he begins to sprint upward as the chain and temporary turbine keep him in attached, after a few floors he notices how close he is to reaching the buildings roof. *CRACK!!* He yanks the grappling chain and it dislodges the not so humble hero then kicks off of the 39th storey and making one more mighty swing he launches the tool at the roof, as it attaches he uses his improvised thruster to hurl himself onto the height of the colossal skyscraper.

He gazes up “Actually I might have to take that back…”

The attention of the extra dimensional tournament participant shifted to the ground as he noticed something, in the absence of any wind, machinery and even inhabitants there was a movement, an old decrepit newspaper undisturbed for however long it has been in this place fell to the ground, weightless but not meaningless. Angel walks along the abandoned road, his reflexion showing in every mirror for miles onwards, he looks so tired. “Whoever is there, I want to talk, I’m not going to ambush you, I’m not a hero and you’re not a bad guy… and vice versa I guess. We’re just fighters, so let’s face each other and fight.” While Angel’s display seemed altruistic and honourable, not all of his cards were on the table, mainly because he didn’t exactly have the best hand.

Result of exposure to foreign universe detected, rapid deterioration of ‘Holy Spirit’ immanent.

Cracking glass signalled the start of screams, a heavy crunch echoed through the streets as the Knightfalls opponent came to a heavy landing in the midst of the street. The angels unorthodox arrival combined with the loud disembodied voice of minutes ago causing the locals to panic and flood out of the buildings and along the streets clogging Cassius line of sight on his target. Hearing only the rushing aorund him he couldnt pick out the words of his opponent and only cuaght climpses of the angel apperently talking from through the fleeing mases of the mirrored cities.

This was something he could to his advantage, grabbing an office jacket from the back of a chair, throwing in over his armoured torso before blending in with a mass of running locals from the building he had previous sought shelter. His mastery of deception merging him the flowing torrent or people. Breaking off from the group a few yards behind his opponent giving him a clear shot at the angels shoulder. A faint hiss as a silencer muffled the most of the firearms violent outburst. Rapidly returning the gun back under the smart suit jacket and blending once more with the ground moving back in the other direction. His opponent hopefully congfused allowing the Crimson Knightfall to attack and move free in the ground for as long as the chaos lasted.

Mass hysteria, screams of fear and pain, this city was not abandoned as Angel had foolishly believed from the state of the area he'd started in but full of 'people', living their lives in the confines of a pocket universe constructed by mad 'gods' for their own entertainment, were they living, do they have tangible thought or are they just a trick, regardless they were in his way and he was confident his opponent was amongst them. Pushing forcefully through the crowd he attempts to find a way out, Angel has been on enough missions to know that stealth isn't exactly his strongest area and in costume in a highly populated area he might as well have a target painted on his ass.

*POP!!* The helpless hero clutched his shoulder as the silenced bullet penetrated his skin, even though such a wound would not be a problem for him in his own dimension, here it would take a great deal of his energy to heal, energy he didn't exactly have a surplus of. The hybrid hero's breathing intensifies as he turns his head frantically from side to side attempting to cast his eye on the smoking gun and the assailant behind it, speeding up his movement he immerses himself further in the crowd and as he passes each civilian he begins to slightly alter different aspects of his appearance until the mob becomes densely populated enough to allow him complete inconspicuousness.

After a while it became increasingly clear to the supernatural detective, something about the jerkiness of the movement, the lack of direction or creative thinking, they were all just a little too simple, these were not people, only shadows, practically robots programmed to behave exactly like a confused and distressed crowd for a limited amount of time to distract fighters and provide one more obstacle... all but one, that's what made him so easy to find. "That was cheap." The Angel unholstered his staff and formed it into the shape of a sharp dagger as he approached the assailant, the soulless automatons dissipating behind him as he purposefully treads forward, the sun gleaming off of his chalk white skin that contrasted so starkly against his dark brown five o'clock shadow, he throws his grey trench coat to ground as it disappears into white light. The next move he expects from his opponent is an attempt to put another bullet in Angel, this time in a more compromising position but instead he'd find his weapon in pieces before he has the opportunity to use it curtesy of our hero's newly crafted indestructible dagger, whilst slicing his opponent's weapon Angel would fire several 'homing orbs' from his holy double-barrel blunderbuss for use later in the fight from that point he'd attempt a thrust kick to his opponents midsection winding him for the time being while also granting Angel ample opportunity to use his still intact range weapon to fire several stun shots at his opponent...well that's if everything goes to plan.

Result of advanced self healing, form shifting and heavy use of both ranged and melee weaponry

Turns out you can shot an angel, the brief thought in the Knightfalls mind as his opponent blinked from his vision. The angels form traceless as if he slipped into another world beyond the sight of the guerilla gunman. Rapidly striking from the nothingness back into the planes of reality his opponent shattering the pistol in his right hand a loud crack followed by the echoing sound of cascading metalic fragments from his hand. The angel drawing some kind of weapon of his own firing wide and high of the knightfalls torso a loud buzzing reverberating cassius ears as large glowing spheres flew by him. Before he had adequate time to asscess the projectiles nature he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen and the world started rushing by as he flew back from the force of the inpact. Slamming and rolling into the pavement a small dribble of blood coming from his mouth and the shellshocked Knightfall tried to regain his feet.

The world pulsing around the knightfall as he returned to his natural height, his internal organs still rocking with the force of the previous strike. Turns out Angels hit harder than expected. His senses picking up the angel firing another salvo from his orb launching gun. The faint sound of buzzing closing in on him from both sides. "Homing rounds" Moving as quickly as he could towards his possible salvation sliding and riping open a manhole cover and pulling it back to cover his tracks. No sooner had he pulled it shut then a collosal blast of energy rocked the street above causing the dust of the tunnel to cloud up around the now coughing Knightfall. A loud crack audiable in the knightfalls ears. Followed by a hiss, a roar that echoed around the tunnel a bright light shooting down the passage as the street above began to collapse as the gass main went up. The angel above causing the street to collapse into the network of tunnels below flames rising from the underworld like he had open the gates of hell. The fleeing masses falling between the cracks and being consumed by the flames, hopefully along with the angel with them.

Cassius running and diving into an open sewer at his flank. Covering the knightfall in a foul smelling slurry the flames shooting over head. Crawling through the filth of the sewers and bursting out into the air of the outside world once again his nostrels filled with the scenet of filth and flame Cassius looked at the destruction the angel had unwittingly caused upon this city. Grabbing his second sidearm and taking a grenade from his belt holding it firmly behind his back the Knightfall called across the chaos to his target "What kind of angel would do this?" trying to rile his possibly already lost opponent from the flaming wreckage ahead of him. Ready and waiting to spring a suprise.

The chaos that had gripped the streets so tightly had been engulfed by another far more terrifying beast, mass devastation... but it was all a lie, Angel knew this while his opponent did not, this works in his favour. The all consuming tar black smoke began to dissipate along with the light constructs masquerading as living beings with souls, the primitive programming they're masters granted them exposed told Angel everything he needed to know about the nature of this place and the nature of this tournament itself, you'll have to do better than that Ziev. The shining superhero deduced that his opponent had gone on the defensive after the initial incredible show of power, he suddenly realised that he had failed in his attempt using discretion instead of drawing to heavily from a pool of power he could only afford to sip from but putting that out of his mind for a moment he wonders, where is the assassin?

The fog was gone but so was his opponent, the arena had returned to it's almost to it's state of equilibrium, cold, silent and lifeless. The heavenly hooligan idled through the vacant arena, each footstep clicking and clacking, bouncing off of every skyscraper and again betraying his self appointed goal of uncharacteristic discretion. After a few minutes of unsuccessfully wandering the abandoned streets, hoping his opponent would launch an attack he could counter and give him the opening he needs but there was nothing, only a faint smell, a smell he recognised.

In front of him stood a relatively short but stoic building, unremarkable in both it's greenish brown colour and it's simple blocky architecture, a simple white sign, aged to a mouldy golden hue and smattered with dust embellished the space just above the double doorway, it read 'sewage treatment plant'. The supernatural detective kicked open the entrance and stormed through to the only operational area of the building, not bothering to glance at the mundane and forgettable lobby area, he slices clean through the padlocked doors and gently nudges the heavy white safety door open as he's rapidly reintroduced to the faint stench he'd encountered at the end of his last encounter. The area is dimly lit by the few murky slit windows in the upper corners of the rectangular room, however this was no problem for Angel as his heavenly physiology meant that he also functioned as a portable night light. He wandered through the endless purgatory of stained white pipes, tanks and seemingly deactivated control panels, alien technology to practitioner of the mystic arts and not a 'science guy' by this super societies standards, he decided against simply looking for a big red button and began pulling levers and flipping switches hoping for some kind miracle, which he was a lot better at doing. Grotesque mechanical cackles filled the air as the system sprung to life, scraping and churning to unleash what seemed like years of build up, the strategy was not to defeat his opponent this way, far from it, all he wanted was to fight him out in the open, on his terms.

"Hey Shooty McBrooderson!" Angel bellowed over the top of the sewage intercom system. "You know it smells a whole lot better up here, well not where I am right now, that'd be like splitting hairs..." He turns his head around to the pressure gauge as it moves into the red zone, the pipes growling angrily as they push with increasing force. "What I'm basically saying is it's about to smell a WHOLE lot worse down there if you catch my drift." Narrowing his eyes as he rubs the now fully healed area of his shoulder "No cheap shots this time, I'll be waiting.". Haphazardly dropping the intercom speaker to the floor he meanders over to an old rusty ladder, he climbs each rung slowly but forcefully as he plans his next even more devastating move. Upon reaching the roof he analyses every rooftop in the grand cityscape and they're reflections, withdrawing his trusty double barrel blunderbuss he aims it directly above himself firing a barrage of white orbs that fade into obscurity as they follow his specific directions, all in preparation for his next move, now he waits.

Projected result of twenty seven homing orbs activated in rapid succession
