KOV VII Round 1: ShadowSwordmaster vs. Stryke

Footsteps echoed through the gray hallways of the station. An abandoned research station at the bottom of the ocean is a rather… unusual place to take battle; at least that's what Alex thought. In between the rest of each footstep there was a constant beat of water dripping. The dim lights flickered every now and then, causing the swordsman to wonder how the station was still somewhat operational.

Alex clutched his weapon of choice, a large thick blade called 'Stryke', and rested it upon his shoulder. He wasn't sure if his opponent had arrived at the station already, but either way he had to be ready. The swordsman was calm and his facial expression indifferent as always. His eyes were sharp, shifting left and right for any suspicious movement. Alex's eye caught a faded map of the enormous station. He memorized every visible detail with a blink of an eye: the control room which overlooked the massive dome like area, the biology center located on the Southeastern part of the station and opposite that was the evacuation room. Some of the map did not reveal any visible detail, but Alex was able to locate his position: the Eastern wing.

He headed to the northern part of the sea station toward the control room. His plan of action was to see if any of the surveillance cameras were functional and actually get a glimpse of who would he be facing, if they had arrived. Abnormal sounds erupted from a distance, Alex turned around calmly. From the map, he pinpointed it to the biology center; either his opponent arrived or there was something rather strange.

The swordsman looked at the door in front of him, the label "CONTROL ROOM" had faded and the sign was peeling off a bit. He entered with caution; no one was there. The room was dark and the control panel was full of dust. Monitors were all over the sides of the room and a big black rectangle spread across the wall directly in front of the door. Alex walked over to the panel and flipped a switch. Bright fluorescent lights illuminated the control room and the black rectangle was slowly being lifted, revealing the massive dome structure. The room was pure white with the exception of the top of the dome which revealed the ocean through its glass. Alex looked upon the sight through the window of the control room, his expression still indifferent.

The swordsman looked down upon the panel and searched for a way to activate the cameras. With the flip of a switch, he activated the cameras only to see the monitors giving static.

Walking down a hallway that he himself did not know at all.While walking down this hall way he notice that this whole base must be abandon and who was here before are either dead or left this place for some reason that he himself does not know but may find out after this tournament that he is in.Sawyer notices that this station is having leaks form the ceiling to the floor with the dripping water coming down and hitting the floor could be a advantaged and a disadvantaged in this fight.

While trying to find a map or at least a maker to show where he is in this place he notices a camera right above him looking at the hallway that he is trying to get to .While thinking on his robotic feet he quickly made his way to the wall that the camera is mounted on .Sawyer put his hand up and extended .Sparks started to form around his hand and he waited a second to charged it and zap the camera to disable it.He knows that someone is here or that they are on there way here.Sawyer continued to find anything to see where he is in this place.He turn and saw a old and sign and it said Biological Center on it.At least he knew what place he is at right not he looked around the entrance to see if there is a map anywhere.He found on the side of the door a couple feet away form it on the left side of it a old and degraded map that is mostly be lost to time .He closed his visor and started to scan the old map to this old and in some place unstable station.

He was able to pin point some places here , that he was on the southeastern part of this station and that he need to explore and find if there is anybody here at all.Sawyer's next move is too find a control room to this place so that he can get a more detail information about this underwater station that he is in at the moment.He has no idea where the control room is and the map was not helpful in that field either so he has a lot of exploring to do here and find some more information about this place so that he can get a advantaged here.

The information that he has and the information that he is getting form using his visor to make his own map to this place while try to find the control room or a security room to say at least.He found one of two cameras along the way disabling them with his electricity that he has stored in him for both offensive and defense .He knows that if there is anybody here they would know by now that they were not alone and that there opponent has come to defeat who ever it is.He would be ready for anything but he know that his cybernetics would help him but it would not help him for everything.

He reach a fork in the road or hallway going two ways one was not visible or at least he can't see what it was before what ever happen here.He looked at the right hallway and it control and the other word look like room but the last two letter were fading because of age.He smiled behind his visor and marked his place in his map.

The low tone of static was heard in the bright room. Alex stood alone as he tried to figure out his next plan at finding his opponent. Time was running out and he needed to work out a plan. The swordsman closed his eyes as his mind rapidly sifted through memories and strategies from the past. Every little detail and every little movement was as clear as day. His mind presented the faded map from earlier. The main room was the logical spot for battle and the evacuation room can be as a last resort .

Alex's eyes shot open, footsteps could be heard just over the sound of the water dripping. He immediately turned around and walked out of the room looking to his left and right, determining the direction of the footsteps. Left. He slammed Stryke on the floor, causing a massive echo to vibrate through the hallways. The swordsman ran as he dragged the sword across the floor, producing a screech-like noise. Kinetic energy: energy in motion. Alex lifted the sword as he twirled it around his hand. With every twirl he absorbed the moving energy. With every step, the blue kinetic energy absorbed was circulating around his body like a snake.

Soon he stopped. A man? A machine? This was something new. A man who had cybernetic parts embedded into him. Alex stood there with his eyes examining his foe, looking at every little detail, thinking of every possible weapon that could emerge from that cybernetic body. The Swordsman stood there emotionless with his blue kinetic energy circling his body. With a dry tone he spoke, "May the best fighter win."

Concentrating his kinetic energy towards his feet, he launched at his foe with great speed. With both hands on his sword, Alex aimed to slash his foe across the chest from the left to right. As he maintained momentum, a kick would follow through towards his head with Alex's kinetic energy still concentrated at his feet. The force of the impact would either incapacitate him or even knock his head right off; Alex had no preference.

Sawyer saw man with a big sword charging at him with speed that no normal human could do.He scanned the man for a sort time noticing the kinetic energy but only for a brief time before his opponent attacks with a double strike with his blade and a kick to the face could defeated him but he has a few things to counter this attack and able to give it back as much also.

He saw the blade coming to slash form left to right,the huge blade that his opponent is carrying is not a normal blade but one that only a strong person can carry without killing themselves form the carrying the sword.Then came the amount of strength to swig it to hit someone is another thing that not a lot of people can .He uses his cybernetic implants to duck down an moving forward at the same time missing the blade by a inch of his hair.

He how will try and hit they opponent with his adamantium fist to punch with 60 tons of punch power behind it and using his arm implants to make his arm move faster than any normal human but this man that he is fighting might have a trick up his sleeve.

The aid of the kinetic energy made the swing much more deadly than it already was. Alex was sure of the attack, but he did not expect of the reactions. The cyborg reacted swiftly to the attack, ducking and missing the blade but he further reacted by moving forward as he ducked sending a punch to Alex. The swordsman noticed the punch and rapidly transferred his energy to the area of the targeted punch in an attempt to lessen the pain.

The punch was insanely powerful; Alex was launched across the hallway. It was a miracle he held onto his sword and an even bigger miracle he was alive. Alex emerged from the deep crater of the hallway with an aura of blue kinetic energy surrounding him. The punch had its toll, but he had absorbed the kinetic energy from the punch, in a sense: a bittersweet victory for the moment.

Alex slowly walked out of the crater with Stryke at hand. The aura softened the impact; taking the word "softened" lightly. The swordsman was in emotionless pain. His back was in pain but he had to keep on going. The fighter ran toward the cyborg once more as he sent two consecutive pulses of energy toward his foe with the attempt of knocking his opponent back. This allowed the perfect attack, Alex would swing his blade in the air, motioning an 'X', sending a wide wave of the blue energy towards his foe. The energy would widen with the distance and could cut through the body of the cybernetic fighter. If the attack missed, then the energy would widen until the walls of the hallway would be ruptured, allowing water to flood the station.

He punch with not full force of his power but he pulled back enough to get the job done.He always consider his robotic arms to be dangerous and when used in the correct way they could easily win in a fight but as a swordsman he uses a sword but this case he might not have a chance to pull it out of his robotic arm.This man is good but Sawyer knows that he is better or at least right now any way but he must not think of this as a easy win he could lose this fight .

After the titanic punch that he did to the other swordsmen .The swordsmen went across and the impact made a crater in the hallway he saw the swordsmen slowly emerged form the crater with no emotion at this made Sawyer a little worried but he knows that this swordsmen has is both smart and powerful if he survived a punch like that.Then his scanner pick something up when the swordsmen gathering and then made a x motion with his sword which a wave of blue energy heading towards him.He in this moment thought of something with this fight in the underwater if things get out of control the whole station could be destroy and they would be killed by the water and pressure.He made the decision to take the full power of the wave coming out him so that the station would not be destroy. The wave hit with such force that he went flying.When he hit the wall in the hallway facing the other swordsmen.Thew hit it self damaged his adamantium armor by making a huge X scar across his body that made a dent in his armor which made his scanners static for a couple of seconds when the impact hit him and the him hitting the steel wall.

The impact made a big dent in the wall behind him and his scanner systems are coming back online but his visor was damaged and barley working so he ripped it with no problem reveling his face to the other swordsmen ."Now about a we finished this fight with our swords and nothing else."Sawyer said with a booming voice .He pulled a sword hilt out form his left arm and extend it to show his adamantium sword about five feet long and ready it for a attack by making a stance that he is going to charged right at the other swordsmen .He activated his legs implants in his robotic legs and made a quick dash that no human can see him with out having some sort of upgrade that can see him.He made his way to the other swordsmen and plan to slash across the other swordsmen body form up to down in one slash.

The attack made contact with the cyborg. He was launched across the hallway as the crash echoed and vibrated throughout the station. Strangely, the cyborg only had a deep scar on his armor. The metal alloy that composed his body was amazingly durable to have withstood an attack that was meant to cut. Alex observed his foe emerge from the big dent made from the wall, removing his visor as he stood firm; revealing his red cybernetic eye and natural blue eye. Both eyes were fixated upon Alex.

""Now about a we finished this fight with our swords and nothing else." His voiced boomed, clearly indicating that the next few minutes of battle would be intense. And...Swords? This would be interesting.

The Cyborg revealed a sword hilt from his left arm and drew it with grace. The sword glimmered in the faint light of the hallway and was about 5 feet long when extended. His form was impeccable, already notifying Alex of his foe's skill. The Cybernetic Swordsman disappeared from Alex's view in a blink of an eye. The swordsman was worried of the outcome; he immediately spread a small wave of energy to signal where his foe was. A small glimmer notified the fighter of the Cyborg's attack as he rocketed himself backwards with his energy. The speed of the Cybernetic Swordsman was uncanny, the glimmer was only a few feet where he was. Despite the jump backwards, the tip of the sword cut vertically on his right thigh. The Kinetic Manipulator gritted his teeth as he landed awkwardly on his feet. Blood was slowly trickling down his leg as he looked at the Cyborg.

Alex smiled. He re-created the stance the cyborg took before his attack. With his energy he rocketed himself off his good leg towards the cyborg. Alex aimed to slash the marked chest of the cyborg constantly with the repeated 'X' motion, releasing more and more of his energy to further enhance the severity of the attack. At the fifth motion he would release all of his energy and if all went well, both men would crash into the Evacuation Room.

He made a successful strike on the other swordsmen with the cut to the right thigh his ability to combined his use of Cybernetics and his swordsmanship could lead him to victory but with other swordsmen power could lead to a more inserting duel on this station.

Then what made him a little surprised is that he use his technique to fight him a stance that he just used on him just a minute ago .He recognized down to the way the other swordsmen use his footing to strike but he can do better than this swordsmen.He the saw what it looks like the other swordsmen charging at him aiming at him with the sword tip aiming right at his x shaped scar hoping he would use the exposed part of his armor and finished the job with the sword strikes to the exposed chest would take him down.He saw the swordsmen coming at him attempted to strike at him.

He used his strength all 90 tons of his strength that goes in his cybernetics implants which enhance his muscles to deflects the blade assault each time that the blade attempt to cut him more and more it become clear that this swordsmen is using powers to increase his swords strength.

Now he would used all of to disarm his opponents blade by using his strength and the strength of his adamatium sword and then uses his electricity and make the have sparks of electricity come out of it which he is immune to but the blade if hit its has the enough volts to put down a elephant down.He plans to slash the right arm and then at the neck hoping it would work but if that fails the electricity in his blade should do at least scared or make the other swordsmen more worried about his next attack.

One slash after another. The constant swinging of the 'X' motion was done with precision, but every strike was blocked by the Cyborg. Even with the enhanced strength of his powers, the blade ricocheted off of the chest of the Cybernetic Swordsman. Alex noticed the muscle mass of his foe's body increasing; this Cyborg was prepared for anything. With every motion and every newton of force that was exerted had no effect whatsoever.

The Robot Fighter began to counter, he attempted to parry Stryke out of Alex's hand but the swordsman gripped it as if his life was about to escape. What the swordsman didn't realize was electricity that was being emitted from the Cyborg's blade.

"Agghhhhhhh!"

The electric current travelled through Stryke and caught Alex as he screamed. The swordsman felt the electricity as he absorbed it into kinetic energy. He absorbed and redirected the energy in an attempt to fend off the current. The first second was agonizing, the second not as much, and the third was fine. The constant cycle of emitting and redirecting energy was what kept Alex alive for the moment. With every volt and every second his blue kinetic aura increased.

The Cyborg's blade aimed toward the arm of Alex in an attempt to severe the body part. The swordsman moved swiftly as he moved Stryke in front of him. As the blades collided, it was in a perfect perpendicular position. More electricity flowed from the blade of the Cybernetic Swordsman. Alex absorbed more energy as his aura increased as well as his agony.

He had to do one final attack, one that he would know would end this. Alex screamed at the top of his lungs as he concentrated all of his kinetic energy towards the center of his chest and blast it directly towards the body of the cyborg. The intent was to aim for the scarred area and shoot the flow of energy like a cannon, piercing through the armor. If the armor wouldn't break, even so the force would repel him toward the other side of the station.

This fight that he was in is a back and forth battle of swordsmanship and power of there skills and now what it is seems that he victor was at hand .When used his electricity on the other swordsman he thought that it would at least kill him or put him down but this swordsman just kept screaming at the top of his lungs this primal scream of the swordsman when the electricity going though the swordsman body like a could kill a person but then Sawyer relies a shock truth about what he is doing to the other swordsmen. He is not just hurting the other swordsmen but he also making the other swordsmen stronger by giving him the electricity to make him stronger, it hurt him and making him stronger at the same time.

When he finished with the final slash in his sword onslaught he looked at the growing energy that other swordsmen is gathering energy for one big attack that could end this once and for all.Then it was too late to get out of the way of the huge blast that was coming right at him.He put arms over his x shaped scar to protect it form the blast that it is coming for him.When the blast hit him it was so powerful that Sawyer went thought the next three walls behind him destroying old equipment and the the walls around him .He final stopped in the fourth room of this mighty blast that he was at the end of.He stop by using both his feet and his electricity powers to slow down form the attack by using it as a magnetic force to slow down by using the metal floor of the station .When he final stop his arms he burned and scared by the blast of the cannon like blast.He was smoking form the fire of the blast that hit although his arms were wreck by protect his chest his right arm which was the arm that took a lot of the blast of the two arms was some what working by it was going to fall off sooner or later .He need to repair himself after this fight his over.He check and other systems that might be damaged by the blast.When check with his cybernetic eye he relies that some of his upper chest did get hit by the blast.He still was able to hit but to what extent is not he could still fight but his right arm might not help him but he still have his left arm which is still damaged but still works.

He thought of an idea to use his electricity to hold his right arm together which in turn made it electric. His left eyed glowed red and used it to carve a door way going back to his opponent.He used his still work robotic legs and used them in overdrive and used this speed to get back to his opponent with his adamantium sword out and in his left hand he made his way back to the other swordsmen hoping to finished this duel.
