KOV round one: Warlock vs Gambler

Location: Castle Dracula

Setting: Night

Out of the mist a Dark Presence appears from the gates of Castle Dracula

"Who dares invade my Country!?"

The Mist slowley embodies into a Pale figurine with Hair as black as night, and eyes as red as blood

"Face me Invader! For i will strike you down and make you to one of my Peasants!"

The legendary tournament had begun. Heroes, Villains, Gods, and everything in between where engaged in combat around the Comicvine Uneverse. Word had already spread of Final Arrow's defeat of Wolfstein, Gambler had laughed when the pairings came out.

"They might as well of just killed the poor bastard to begin with." he had thought.

But as he stood now in front of the legendary Castle Dracula, a cold chill ran up his spin. A as a mysterious mist transformed itself into a tall, pale like figure and had a few words for the Cajun. With a gleam in his eye and a smirk on his face, Gambler reached behind his back and removed his sword. Charging at Warlock he spun around swinging the blade at his enemies mid-section.

Dracula sensed a movement coming swiftly towards him

"You're fast..."

In the moment where his foe's blade should have pierced Dracula's torso, Gambler merely slashed a vanishing image of where Dracula had been

"But so am I!"

Summoning a sword of his own, Dracula held it as if he was a stone pillar waiting for his opponents next move

"Let's even this out shall we?"

As the blade simply cut through air, Gambler held his position for a sec arm fully extended. With a glance back over his shoulder, he watched as Dracula summoned his own sword. Twirling the blade in his hand, he nonchalantly turned around. Then in a burst of speed he charged again, but as he closed in on his opponent he flicked his wrist, which produced a single kinetically charged card that was then hurled at Dracula, while at the same time he threw his sword behind him.

Gambler says:

Dracula watched Gambler make another move but this time something was diffrent...

"It didn't work the first time, why do you think it work now?"

Vlad was unprepared for what was about to happen, Gambler threw a kinetic charged card at Vlad following by a thrown sword... Dracula was able to dodge the sword but the explosion of the card left Dracula 12 feet away and his lims barely still connected"

"...you ...shouldn't have done that..."

Vlad's eyes open slowely but filled with hate, he summons two ghouls to keep Gambler busy so he has time to gather himself while he plays Puppet master"

Gambler watched as Dracula was blown backwards, limbs barely connected. But the small victory was short lived as two Ghouls had been summoned. Quickly he tried to use his telekinesis to retrieve his sword, but before he could he was tackled by one of the Ghouls. Now on his back, Gambler had to use his forearm under the creatures neck, trying desperately to keep it from bitting into him. He could see the other Ghoul making its way towards him out of the corner of his eye.

Flashing his free hand towards the Ghoul, his telekinesis hurled the creature backwards. But as he did the first Ghoul tore into him. In seconds the monsters teeth had ripped a chunk of flesh out of Gambler's chest and shoulder. Simply working off adrenaline, Gambler worked his knees under the beast and lifted it up ever so slightly.

"SONNOVABITCH!" he yelled as he drove a card into the beasts mouth. With a thrust of his legs, the creature was sent into the air an exploded. The blast was to close and sent Gambler end over end until he finally slid to a stop, just on the edge of a cliff. As he tried to get to his feet he stumbled, but was able to regain enough composer to stand. Dracula was nowhere in sight and blood was streaming down his chest.

As Gambler looked around, on guard and waiting for what was next he whispered,

"Make a move."

found about his opponent defeating two ghouls at a time dracula came back to Area to redeem himself for obliterating him like that

"Now you shall pay for what you have done to me... you will have to face a side of me that dislike using but i feel it's necessary at the moment."

Vlad rips off his shirt and slowly goes on his knees... then on his palms... suddenly he starts growing hair, faster and faster until he is transformed... into a Werewolf!

"Now it's melee only for me"

Like a berserker Werewolf Vlad starts charging furiously at Gambler

"Wait for it, wait for it." Gambler thought. Then as the Werewolf closed in, the crafty Cajun jumped up and flipped over his head. Pulling out every card he had, he flipped backwards unleashing them just in front of the Werewolf, attempting to destroy the ledge and sending the creature down the cliff.

"Sorry Mon Chere, my dance card tis full."

Gambler says:

""Wait for it, wait for it." Gambler thought. Then as the Werewolf closed in, the crafty Cajun jumped up and flipped over his head. the brutal force of this beast is not enough to dodge the blast and the falling edge of the cliff, with a last try to hold on the edge he missed with his clumsy paws by an inch

"NO!"

The Creature falls into the dark endless seeming pit... falling... and falling... but he never arrives... the last embrace of the moonshine fades and brings forth complete and utter darkness... the Temperature quickly sinks and it gets so cold that the only thing you can see is your fog like breath in front of you, Gambler now surrounded by complete darkness is not aware of what may happen next... is Vlad dead? was that creature Vlad?

"You were the only one able to defeat my lycan form... possibly because you were the only one not trying to run away from it... but now i'll have to sum up every last inch of might that is within me... that fall should of had me, i know, but lucky for me that im a shapeshifter and can transform into a bat...""

The Moonshine comes back... but only as a spotlight around gambler... Dracula now steps into the spotlight and makes himself ready

"I'll rip you to shreds with my bare hands!!!"

Vlad walks towards Gambler... slowly, then faster... and right before Gamblers eyes... he vanishes...

"Behind you!"

Dracula tenses his palm and tries to punch through Gamblers upper left shoulder

It all happened so quickly. At first it looked like Gambler had defeated his opponent, but the powers of Dracula are far in scoop. The lights, the voice, it began to disorient the Cajun. As Warlock appeared, he came at Gambler slow at first but then his speed increased. Before Gambler knew it the Vampire legend was behind him. A piercing pain shot through his entire body. As he slowly turned his head to see Dracula's fist protruding out of his shoulder, blood shot from his mouth.

"We...wel...well.....played......." he manged to say with a gargle.

Then without hesitation or warning, Gambler flashed his hand out to the side, calling his blade back to him with his telekineses. In one fluent and graceful move, he spun around slashing at the neck of Dracula.

not prepared of the upcomming swing of his foes sword he had nothing he could counter that with... in an instant, Vlad's head was departed from his shoulders... and left dracula defeated... for now...

Gambler Moves on to Round 2! Winner by head decapitation!

HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA
