KOV Pre-Fight Predictions

@pyrogram: Old timer I may be, but battles were never my forte, lol

I've competed in the KOV twice, I think... First time I was absolutely obliterated by Uchiha NeVann right off the bat, haha, and in my second year I seem to recall facing Portrait and... Nova? I was in a tag team with Longshot, we won and then had to fight each other (I think I'm remembering this right...) and he totally schooled me too. Though, to be fair, Portrait literally crippled me in the tag team fight. And I mean literally. She hacked a chunk of my spine out and Eclipse was on crutches for the rest of my time on the Vine. Yeah, I can sell too! xD

Yup. I always used to try and make sure Eclipse got at least one awesome scar from battles (his chest was covered in scars from NeVann, he had a scar on his neck from World War Warsman, and a deep one on his shoulder from DaggerKlutz, my old nemesis, plus a few others I forget) so it seemed like the obvious step to have him permanently disabled, haha! Didn't stop him from heroing though, even after he lost his powers. Dang, I miss Eclipse-Prime, that character didn't know how to give up...

Anyway, should've gone to bed a while ago, I'll try and get that post up tomorrow

The whole overarching plot of Eclipse/Hesperus back then was that they were both destined to die, a destiny I unfortunately never had time to actually write out in an RPG (though the people closest to me, the ones I planned the death RPG with, kindly acted like it all happened after I left, lol). But yeah, those characters are dead, so really if the CVnU hadn't started up I probably never would have started RPGing again :)

Work was murder yesterday (it was over 11 hours, it was my first shift and I had absolutely no training whatsoever >_<) but I'm trying to write something now. Got 2 hours until I need to head back in.

@pyrogram: I'm still bummed about never finishing their story, so I'm planning on writing something to bring everything to a conclusion at some point. Maybe...

War Killer and I did a flashback rpg of how him, moonglow, and I met and made the second line up of VT while we were on CoP :P

@cellphonegirl: If I just wrote the ending of the story then half the readers would have no idea what the context was :)

I want to write at least 10 chapters, each focusing on a different aspect of their history, sort of the behind the scenes of what happened between RPGs. First three chapters would cover Eclipse from his birth to the Titans, culminating in his first meeting with Hesperus, after which I'd go back and focus the next two chapters on Hesperus. After that I'd just go through their history, probably alternating perspective as I go, finishing off with their death. It'd take a fairly long time to write and I'd probably rope in people like you, Charles and Mercy to help and proof-read, etc. but it's something I've been wanting to so pretty much since I left.

@_eclipse_: I love the story aspect. I try that with mine. Gave Anthony Stark Cancer as I thought I was gona kill him off like that lol

@pyrogram: Yeah, I like to have a destination for my characters, I find it really helps if you know where you want to end up, then everything else that happens to the character instead of being just random crap, becomes a step on the path to wherever they're headed. Still trying to figure out what the destination is this time...

Any idea what direction you're taking the character in now that his time has been extended?

I got bored of him, Too much RPGin in a short space of time, see him on the leaderboards on the right? All of those posts in a week have killed the joy of using him. And, I am only doing RPG's with Icarus and Zauby with him now.

@pyrogram: My advice would be to do something drastic, shake up the character. I got bored with Eclipse plenty of times, he went through a LOT of changes. First he was a teen hero, then got blackmailed into working for his archenemy, then became Nighthunter's sidekick, then got crippled, then lost his powers... Whenever you get bored you need to do something different, get a new look, a new direction, something to renew your passion for the character.

KOV is a voting tournament, the writer is more important than the power set. If I do not know who you are and your prior work I ave too little to work off of to feel confident in any choice.
