Time served is only one metric, impact and content are just as (if not more) important IMO.

By no means should I be considered a vet, but people who started at a similar time to me like Surkit and Impero and accomplished far more than some with 3 years+ are vets in my eyes.

I would not say that, you have taken part in some of the Vine's premiere teams in the past (like the Sovereigns - joke) as well as all your years of activity and battles. IMO being a vet is simply someone that has spent enough time and effort to leave their stamp on the Vine U (Prime or New).

I only mentioned Surkit and Impero because I knew they started on here right around the same time I did. I actually do not know when LL started, yet agree vet status is deserved. There may be others also but I am far from the Vine historian.

@armistice: Yeppers, I believe when we had our first conversation you had been here far, far longer than me. I'd been reading RPG's for a few years on and off, and on the battle forums for a long while, but it wasn't until Gambler offered me a place in LoS plus Impero and Angeni helping me with starting a character, that I started role playing.

There is no set metric or list of qualifications, but to keep it simple, if someone new asked me if you were a vet, my answer would be yes.

Here's my prediction.

I'm going to beat the first loser, embarrass the second loser, and then make Feral Nova literally tap out. Then I'll go about my business. I don't care who the judges are, I could careless about the next "legend or vet" I don't give a damn if it's a rookie. I plan on kicking ass so definitively, that the heavenly Autowoman will return herself and hand me the damn KOV title. Everyone else go drink water.
