JLU Mafia Game Thread

Welcome to Justice League Unlimited Mafia!   If you are a superhero and member of the Justice League, you are a TOWNIE and win by getting rid of all the bad guys on the Watchtower.   The MAFIA (bad guys) win when the good guys don’t have enough people left to vote them off.

 
Good guys – find the bad guys and vote them off during the day.

 
Bad guys – fool the good guys into voting each other off during the day and kill them at night. 
 
  

Before we get started, I wanted to make a few things clear.

 
Rule #1 – Don’t talk to anybody about this game outside of this thread unless your role says you’re allowed to.   For instance, asking another player who they are via private message is CHEATING and could ruin the game.

 
Rule #2 – Don’t talk if you’re dead.   95% of the reason the mafia would want to kill you is because they don’t want you to tell everybody what you know/might figure out.   Talking after you’ve been killed is CHEATING and could ruin the game.

 
Rule #3 – Don’t edit your posts.   You can’t unsay things in this game.   Editing your posts is CHEATING and could ruin the game.   If you see that somebody has doubleposted, do them a favor and say something (if only C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!) in case they have something else to say. 

Rule #4 – When you want to vote for someone, bold and underline it so that I see it.   Non bolded and underlined votes don’t count.   For example, Vote: Vance Astro, Remove vote, Vote: Lights Off (go to night phase without killing anyone), Change Vote: Nighthunter. 
 
 
 

Night Zero

“The first step of the plan is to teleport aboard the Watchtower.”

“That’s the Justice League’s satellite right?”

“Right.   I have that part taken care of already.   Once there, I’ll use this device to erase the memories of the entire League.   They won’t know who to trust.   You can pick them off one at a time.”

“Security alert.   We have an emergency in Meeting Room B.   All Justice League personal report to Meeting Room B.”

You race to the meeting room as fast as you can.   To everyone’s surprise, you find one of your own has been beaten nearly to death.  

Zoom has been incapacitated.   He was Superman, world’s greatest hero.  

Who could have done this?  Who could break into the Watchtower and defeat the man of steel without making a sound?

Before you have a chance to find out the answer, a searing pain goes through your head.   Suddenly, you don’t recognize anyone else around you.   In fact, you seem to remember there being less of your teammates here just a few moments ago.   Seventeen people?   The League never has that many heroes on call at the same time.   Unless…not all of the people here are your teammates.   Superman’s attacker must still be here.   You need to find him and anyone else that doesn’t belong here before they strike again.  

Day One begins now.   With 17 players, 9 votes are needed for a lynch.   The day will end when a lynch occurs or in 48 hours.

Well technically Drifter has the most votes right now so even if the rest of us choose not to vote before the end of the first day, won't he be lynched anyways?

No.  Nobody gets lynched by one or two people.  More than half the players have to decide to vote someone off. "

hmm, so how do we decypher clues if no one posts?

Well damn.

Are there going to be clues...or do I just vote? Because that gives me a funny visual of everyone jumping Drift.

I think we're supposed to pick up on clues from each other. The way I see it, everyones being tight lipped and I don't even know how many are good guys and how many are bad guys. We can't say who we are because no one would believe us anyway.
 
Maybe something will happen after the first day or Zoom will make a post with some clues? I've never really played this game but it's hard to be a detective when no one posts.

So let's start dropping clues to each other.

No ones really posted enough for me to think they're guilty yet. I'm still waiting to see if clues get posted after the first day.

Honestly I am still a little confused of the rules but am afraid to say anything in fear of looking small minded =[
