Origin
The Spectacle was once Felix Allcooper, a clumsy and socially awkward reporter who dreamed of being powerful and famous. After a gem holding immense cosmic power fell from space and lodged itself in his brain, Felix found he could change at will into the perfect man. This being, dubbed by Felix himself in a newspaper article as "The Spectacle" became world famous for helping those in need. Felix eventually decided that the Spectacle was who he really was and abandoned his old life completely. He was no longer Felix Allcooper. He was only the hero, the champion, the Spectacle!
Personality
Few are aware of the Spectacle's true nature. He is egotistical and arrogant, seeing himself as the greatest hero and secretly looking down on all others. He avoids openly killing to maintain his popularity, but he will spread slanderous rumors about his rivals and even threaten blackmail those who catch him doing anything that would ruin his public image. The Spectacle may do a lot of good, but he does it for all the wrong reasons. He cares only about fame and glory and only wants to hear the sheep chanting his name.
Powers
Even the Spectacle himself has no idea what his true power is. Some have been able to figure it out, though. The gem in his brain gives him the power to warp reality with his mind, but there is a catch. The gem is located in the subconscious part of his brain. He subconsciously makes himself stronger, faster, and more durable. He also creates his costume whenever it's needed. He follows comic book physics rather than real world physics and as such is able to do the impossible and absurd such as lifting buildings without them collapsing and making a moving train much heavier than him crumble around him as he stands perfectly still. Though it may seem like it, he is not indestructible. He can be moved, his strength can be outmatched, and as Batman will be interested to know, he does bleed. Due to the nature of his powers, telepathy is his greatest weakness.
