Immersion

Now, you can not get anymore immersive then RPGing. When in the mood, you can almost feel like you have been imported inside the Vine universe, feeling that your actually fighting and interacting with other Viners, and then your little bubble gets popped by immersion breakers. In my opinion Immersion breakers are always there to ruin your fun, but there is one breaker I would like to see go, and that's when your character is in two or more locations at the same time.

Let's say Agent Ace is eating his favorite comfort food in L.A, but in the Chicago thread, he is also drinking his favorite beverage, this sometimes bothers me. Wouldn't it be more fun to finish your meal in L.A? I think it will also add more challenge to the RPG community. Imagine, your character facing some assassins in Chicago, and your characters uncle or loved one is in danger in New York, knowing that, before you can try to save your loved one(s) in said location, You have to defend and defeat your foe in your current location before traveling to the next, it actually adds more thrill in my opinion.

So, what are your thoughts?

@Rumble Man: And everyone has it? I think it would add more fun if this would be adopted (Adapted?) in the Rp's.

@lagoon_boy: Not everyone should have it, lest the more human ones (being two places at once simultaneously should be a power). The only reason I see for being two places at once is at different times.

@Rumble Man: That's my point, characters that does not possess powers that enable them be at two different locations at the same time should at least consider it. It just breaks the immersion for me when a mercenary who only has peak human attributes is destroying a foe in an abandoned warehouse and at the same time drinking mojitos with his buddies in a hotel.

It's a good idea in theory, but this isn't dungeons and dragons where everyone's under the purview of a game master (or game masters) who can keep track of where everyone is. And plus, ridiculously high end locomotive powers are very common, ranging from extreme superspeed, to hypersonic transporation vehicles, to out and out teleportation.

@QN5: That's actually a very good point. What I do want to clarify is that, what I mean by this is, if it is taking place at the same time I hope rpg'ers would at least consider it.

Just can't get into how a character should act so I can't write them well.

@Decoy Elite: I have the same problem, and when I actually do get into character, I get derailed and the character suddenly seems to have multiple personalities. Try basing your character(s) personality from a movie character. I try to base Agent Ace's personality as close as I can with Frank Martin's (Jason Statham) personality.

I am nowhere near Sha level. O.o

The Knightfalls are the main big time people that aren't obvious alts.

How about, Creed, and The Hunter? They're new faces for me. I think your the only original account I've seen so far.
