Wolf pack safe house: Lunar nightclub, restaurants and casino, Los Angeles.

The Lunar nightclub to the civilians was just a place to have fun on weekends or for an occasional date. It was a perfect spot offering different services. But what to the civilians was just a fun place to the Wolves it was a perfect cover, hidden just before civilian eyes. It belonged to the lycan king, but for now it was the lone one’s temporal safe house. Several bags had been brought into the basement of the location from which Band was operating. The music could be heard outside while Band Lone browsed through his arsenal. “ My two guns, ammo…”

Flashback 48 hours ago

“The target young man, a student of arts. The sensors indicate the boy is a threat to the people and everything we stand for. He is a meta-human with psionic powers, he can become a great threat therefore he must be eliminated.” Band stood before a computer screen in his room and questioned the commandment “Has the boy done any wrong at all? I bet there are others more powerful than this kid, why not go after someone looking for a criminal record instead of a boy trying to get a diploma?”

But as always there was no question in the matter. “The money has been already transferred into your account and your request has been delivered to your safe house in LA. The clause of the contract cannot be severed. We expect you to act upon our will and deliver evidence of your work, otherwise, we will find another business partner and expose you for who you really are. Is that clear, agent?”

A mind smile came to Lone’s face after hearing the threats from the contractor. “Loud and very, very clear, contractor.” Said Lone before logging out of the conversation.  The computer showed a window on the screen that read [New targets acquired] A pair of dots showed on screen one read [ Contractor] the other read [New target] The lone wolf had backtrack the location of the contractor by hacking into the system. “First I’ll take out the pest.. And then my contract expires.”

Present times: LA.

Revving his motorcycle Band Lone arrived at the location where the boy had been pinpoint by the death agent’s scanner. The place was some sort of school. The time was after teaching hours so only a few students and teacher were in the location. Band Lone was wearing a red and black armor which to any civilian would appear to be standard motorcycle gear. Dismounting his motorcycle Lone then reached for a roses printed rectangular box giving the illusion of been some sort of romantic present. But it reality it contained the agent‘s swords. A bag was also strapped to his back giving the illusion of been a type of student or teacher. Lone began his journey into the premises and a security guard stopped him before he could enter the gate. “Excuse me, sir.” Said the security guard, “After hours are over. I am actually waiting for the last four people to leave to closed indefinitely, you can’t go in.” Regardless of what the guard had said Lone entered the premises “Hey, excuse me sir! You can’t come in here!” Claimed the guard before he pulled on Lone’s jacket. This bothered the assassin, the wolf grabbed the guard by the collar and using his mask as a weapon a head butt was all it took before the guard was knocked unconscious. “You had it easy, boy.” Said Lone before tucking the man into a broom closet.

Eying the scanner on his wrist the agent was able to find the room which the young man was attending. The voices of a teacher and the student echoed through the hallway while Lone had stopped to prepare for the encounter. “He is not human..” Said the agent to himself as he prepared. “By doing this I ensure a more pleasant tomorrow for future generations..” He fallowed as he strapped both his swords to his hips and set up the bow and arrows. “The thing that is wrong is not me dictating his death….” Lone finally strapped the guns to his back as well “But him dictating the death of the innocent..” The oat had already been said and death agent was ready to get dirty. The bow and arrow would be the weapon of choice to begging what would be the end of what he believed was.. “Saving the future of mankind by balancing the present one abomination at a time.”

Lone reached the light switch before sneaking a peak inside and pinpointing in his mind the target. “What happened?“ Said one of the civilians. Swiftly Lone aimed his bow and arrow straight to the targets area and intended to do the deed. The arrow that was cast  was a powerful explosive arrow meant to make sure the target and any witness would be incinerated. The Death agent then turned around and intended to walk away through the hallway. It was a dirty job but someone had to do it. Band was hopeful that he would be able to avoid the sight of the suffering of the young man as he was confident the arrow had been enough to finish him.. but was it?

'Joel', Ms. Evans said calmly 'That's your graffiti around LA isn't it? Look at this picture'. Ms. Evans extended her arm to Joel's artwork. His painting showcased a black woman in a vanilla feathered dress lounging in a flower garden. She gazed dreamily into the sky as angel wings spread from her back. "Ms. Evans that graffiti's tasteless," Joel exclaimed in his thin islander accent, I'm offended!?" He looked over his shoulder and grinned widely at her, showing his pearl teeth. Playfully hitting Joel’s shoulder, Ms. Evans laughed, "I knew it!" Joel shrugged amiably, holding his paintbrush, dipped in sky blue paint.

Joel glanced at his cellphone and started packing his art supplies, “Ms. Evans why didn’t you tell me it was almost five?” She admirably peered at Joel’s African angel painting, “Ms. Evans?” Joel slowed his hurried packing and noticed her marveling his artwork. She turned around smiling, “Joel this is beautiful--”. The door window shattered and an arrow pierced the wall behind Ms. Evans. It exploded on impact and Joel closed his eye from the bright explosion.

Debris fell from the roof on the marble floor and Joel realized he was still standing. The sound of heavy droning vibrated his ears. He flicked open his eyes and clear blue film glowed an inch from his nose. "Ms Evans!....Ms. Evans!", Joel tore through the debris until his hands got wet; he examined his hands and blood slowly dripped from them. He stumbled on the floor, crawling backward then madly rubbing the blood on a dirty rag on the floor. His art teacher was dead, murdered; Who could of possibly done this? Joel believed the blue film protected him and it wasn't his doing.

The room door busted open and Joel crawled to his feet out the opposite door. He down the left direction of the hall then realized a guard at the entrance and ran down the east hall for his help.    With the exit in his sight, he didn't see the guard. He thought the worst, but continued forward. Joel's left foot slid across the floor and fell forward. He tried to break his fall with his hands, but they slipped on blood.

"UGHH", Joel got up and ran for the door exit. His heart pumped through his chest and he felt like he'd be shot at any second. As he ran for the parking garage, he constantly looked over his shoulder. Remembering he had a cellphone, he snatched his cellphone out his pocket and dialed 9-1-1. "Somebody's trying to kill me, they killed a guard and my.... art teacher..."

The explosion thundered the background as the legendary assassin escaped the scene believing he had done his job. The balance of the earth would be preserved and the world would thank him when the meta-human community is controlled. Mounting his motorcycle Lone switched it on and revved the engine shooting out of the location before too many people came sticking their nose up on the scene. Before escaping however the scanner then beeped once again showing a meta-human was on the move. “What? Did I missed someone?” The screen showed the meta was escaping from the room. “He survived?” He asked himself before hiding behind a column. The assassin could hear foot steps and heavy breading. The smell of blood was in the air along with another smell, fear.

The young man saw for an exit of what most likely had become his worse nightmare. He had a target on his head and the worse he had no idea why.

The boy kept moving away and Band as the hunter he was he went after the boy taking a different rout. The scanner showed the direction of the boy who appeared red on the digital map different from common humans who appear blue. The red dot entered a premises.  “The garage.” Lone ran as fast as he could while still keeping his stealth in case there were other humans around. Finally he reached the said garage and found shelter from the enemy by ducking next to a vehicle.

Lone notice the target had stopped, maybe he was tired, but that was not all. The echoing voice of the young man reached the higher sense of hearing of the assassin.  Three digits were marked on a mobile technology. Lone realized it was a mobile phone. "Somebody's trying to kill me, they killed a guard and my.... art teacher..." He quickly reached for a tip arrow. Lone then stood up and jumped on the car‘s roof before taking aim towards the mobile device.  “Oh no you wont!” He barked out before the arrow was cast hoping to disarmed the boy from outside aid.

The assassin the reached for a second and third arrow. “No slacking, this time I’ll make sure that you are dead.” A new pair of arrows were cast headed after the young man.

“Nothing personal, kid.”

Said Lone before rolling down the front side of the car all the way to the front and kneeling right before it taking a shooting stance and aiming the bow for a finally. " By killing one of you today I am saving millions from tomorrow." A fourth arrow was cast but this one was an exploding arrow just like the one who had taken out the teacher earlier. "That's why you have to die." He said as he watched.

The air whistled past Joel's ear and something hit Joel's cellphone. The force of the flying object pushed his arm in the air and his cellphone shattered against the garage's stone wall.  The killer's thundering voice echoed throughout the garage alarmingly close by, "Oh no you wont!". This startled Marc and his nerves jolted him to jump. Joel's heart beat harder against his chest. His supportive parents, hippy friends and promising art career flashed before his eyes. "I'm not gonna die here...", Joel thought feeling a rush of energy exhilarate him.  A blast of blue energy pushed from his body and sent a silver Nissan Sentra tumbling into the cobalt Ford F-150 parked a few spaces behind.

As Joel stared wide-eyed at his body that released this unfamiliar energy, his killer propelled into the air, above the wrecked Nissan, aiming his arrow. "No slacking, this time I'll make sure you're dead." Joel locked his eyes on his night-cloaked killer and pushed both his hands forward. A gossamer blue wall of energy buzzed between Joel and his ambitious killer.  Just a second late, two arrows simultaneously angrily deflected off Joel's radiant blue wall. Breathing hysterically, wide eyed and smiling, Joel felt relived of his defenseless attitude.

Naturally, a childhood memory played in his mind. One of his family summer vacation's to Spanish Town, Jamaica.  Late at night, Joel sat on his grandma Essie's hot porch with his uncle Riley; who told him he was special. He brushed it off thinking, "They say everybody's special". His uncle Riley must have read his mind. "Nooo Joel",  he said with his strong Jamaican accent. "You got ah gift dhat will change dah world, not just yah art Joel". He smiled and pointed where Joel's heart was, "It's  sumthin growin inside yah, somethin powerful".  Joel was unsure if his uncle Riley knew what he was talking about or was being an inspiring uncle, but he was right.  Joel was something powerful.

The arrows were deflected, but the killer kept his offense. He immediately equipped new arrows then swiftly rolled off the hood of the dented Nissan taunting Joel, "Nothing personal kid". Joel kept his hands pushed forward to stabilize his neon blue barrier as the killer cohesively crouched beside the ruined car.

"By killing one of you today I am saving millions from tomorrow".  Joel realized someone assigned him to kill mutants like him. Heroes he watched on the news and youtube like Andeferne, Sha, Eclipse and Nighthunter. He realized he could emulate them one day, he held the power now.  Joel's determination grew stronger and he leered at the mutant killer. "That's why you have to die", the killer preached, hastily shooting another arrow.

"You-", the arrow hit Joel's barrier and exploded, cutting him off. Joel's shield concaved and pushed him backwards. As he scraped his exposed legs and arms rolling backwards, his wall rose to a loud drone before exploding.  Again, Joel realized his heart still beat. Scrapes on he legs and arms stung, but he was alive, so stood on his feet and ran up a higher garage lot.

Backpedaling watching for his killer,  Joel tried to blast energy from his hands. He pushed his sweaty palms forward and nothing expelled from them. "How did that crazy kid Marcellus learn to bind that politician. I'd be fighting instead of running if--AHH ", catching sight of the killer interrupted Joel's thought's. Out of his control a disastrous wave of neon energy rumbled towards the killer. The wave blackened the concrete behind its trail causing pungent smoke to rise from the ground.

"You're not killing your target today", Joel confidently replied examining the blue energy radiating from his hands like a calm fire.

The master assassin witnessed as the prey he hunted manifested it’s abilities. It was an impressive feat accomplish by the young man to survive the attacks made by the marksman.  Not only the kid had survived one but two explosive arrows. “Am I biting more than I can chew of?” Wondered the assassin for a second. He witnessed as the scanner on his wrist indicated that the levels of energy coming from the young man were raising more and more with each second. The answer to the question the assassin had inquired would then been answer as the young boy, wounded by the previous attacks, tries to escape the scene. “Clearly I have not.” Said the assassin to himself taking the fleeing action of the boy as a sign of weakness.

Confident in what he thought would be the end of the target Lone just walked after the young man to the upper garage lot. “Where are youuuuu?” Taunted the assassin before walking into the lot. A sudden gasp filled the foreground which to the assassin was music to his heightened ears.

A mild chuckle came from Lone as he faces toward the boy’s location “I promises it’ll be quic--” But then all the sudden a intense wave of energy stormed through the garage lot. Like a scene from a psyfy war movie the cars in the garage appeared as if they were been toyed with by a wave of energy. “Oh, crap” were the last words uttered by Lone before the large wave reached the assassin.

The force behind the wave of neon energy had several objects airborne along with the death agent. Like a crash dummy Lone had been slammed against a concrete wall. The assassin was grunting as he was feeling the after effect of the pounding. The lights in the garage lot were failing which added to the feeling of disorientation. Still Lone was conscious enough to acknowledge what had happened.

Luckily for him the armor worn by the Death agent had absorbed the better part of the impact and was able to resist a level of the other side effects of the attack. The purple armor was left blackened by the aftermath and the wearers smoked and pounded. Shaking his head the agent made an effort to stand back on his feet. “And..” He said as he stood on one knee before a smoking foreground. “That’s a prime.. example..” He said while a live wire sparkled on the background. He fought to finally stand as smoke escaped the blackened armor suit, “Why I must kill him..”

"You're not killing your target today"
, confidently replied the young energy manipulator holding energy on both his hands. The knight, still a bit off balanced, he browsed the surroundings before he smiled under his helmet. A sudden realization gave the knight a boost of confidence even against this type of threat.  “Is that right?” He said rhetorically before he reached for one of his guns. About 20 feet away on the wall Lone had detected the position of the garage’s circuit breakers box. It had already been damaged, but apparently not enough; the lights were still laminating the garage. Lone remedied that by shutting the box several times until it exploded killing the power in the area. The garage was dimmed to the level of near full darkness. “I’'ll raise you on that bet, boy” Said Lone before activating the night vision mode on his helmet. The picture from the assassin’s perspective was day light clear, but that could not be said about the target who, as of that moment, had entered a new level of the game hunter and prey.

A single silver blade sword was unsheathed by the knight while been embraced by a background ruled by darkness. The assassin now wield the one katana blade called Sorrow: a sword with the ability to cut 5 inches further than it’s actual reach and make the enemy beg for sweet death after a mere scratch.

Adding to the equation, the wrist device on Lone allowed him an ability to teleportand when placed in automatic this ability granted by the device ran on will power. “No more games..” Said Lone just before disappearing into the shadows via stealth teleportation.
Lone was confident that all the sudden changes in the scenery were at his favor. All elements were in place, it was just matter of time and judgement.

Suddenly, and silent as a ghost, Lone emerged out of the shadows. The assassin was airborne just above the target, comings down with the sword [Sorrow] held with both hands on hilt with raised armed high above the assassin’s own head. Lone was seeking to swing the sword at the perfect time and slice the boy in half from above. "Shineeeee!!!!!!!!!!" 死ね

The explosions, laser beams, fire blast, electric shocks, the kicks, the punches all of it. Joel wondered how the heroes and villains lived to walk another day after it all. A few missed shots and minor explosion had him on edge and physically sore.  Luckily things were taking a surprising turn.

Joel attack had an effect, but not as strong as he predicted. The killer was still standing. Joel looked out to the purple and blue early evening sky and remembered he had to meet his friend, Vinnie at his apartment. They were both busy ambitious people and they hadn't hung out with each other in a week or two. Surviving this was more important, but he wished he could get a hold of Vinnie. Unfortunately there was no way, the killer destroyed his iPhone.

The killer pointed his arrows and Joel gasped into a defensive position. A flurry of arrows were fired and Joel managed to summon his energy barrier again. To his surprise, the arrows weren't aimed at him. The arrows pierced a metal box and soon electricity burst from it and the lights immediately died. The parking garage went pitch black. For a few seconds Joel panicked, he pivoted in every pitch dark direction. Like every direction watched with the eyes of darkness in the flesh. Preying on every thought of security he felt he had in this unpredictable, viscous world.

Finally regaining his sense of control, he created a bright energy barrier. The light his barrier radiated was a convenient source of light in a dark situation.  Just missing his opening, the killer attacked from above. "Shineeeeee!!!!" The killer's battle cry startled Joel and he stepped back as the sword crashed into his barrier. This time he felt the force of his attack permeate through. His shield concaved harder this time and sent him flying through the darkness. He watched his shield vibrate and begin drone in an increasing volume.  Finally reaching a peak it exploded and sent Joel tumbling further back into the parking garage.

The scrapes he already had were worsened along with a set of new ones. Not so luck this time, he busted his lip and nose. The pain felt unbearable until his tumbling episode ended. He lie on his back staring at the dark roof, catching his breath. His chest rose up and down at a rapid pace. Joel groaned after attempting to roll over on his stomach to get on his feet. This was life or death and it set in quick for him. Joel did a weak kip-up and staggered towards the Level 2 parking garage lookout. The sky turned purple and the stars began to fade into view.

Looking behind him, Joel climbed over and held onto the ledge. Picking at the first level ledge with the tip of his foot, he let go of the Level 2 ledge. One of his hands grabbed the ledge wrong and strained his wrist. From the shock of pain he let go and crashed on the Parking Garage entry gate floor. Feeling the pressure build on his head, he watched the purple sky and upper level parking garage blur and spin in circles. He grew overwhelmingly nauseous and fell unconscious.

The sound of a fist meeting an unsuspecting face resonated through the lonely alley.  A man fell to the floor, blood flowing from his nose and knocked out cold.  Obi Wan Kenobi, the defender of Los Angeles stood above him, looking down at the petty criminal, shaking his head at the man's actions.   A beautiful blonde young woman ran towards the hero and embraced him.

"Oh thank you, thank you!" the woman exclaimed excitedly, squeezing the hero tightly.  As she pulled away Obi handed her the purse that the now unconscious man had tried to steal from her.  "I'm just...just doing my job, miss." Obi flashed a modest grin at the woman as she smiled back.  "Well...you're my hero, Obi Wan Kenobi.  How can I eeever repay you?, the woman asked, as a suggestive smile spread across her face.

"Ummm..."Obi paused.  Two years ago, Obi would have said sometihng along the lines of, "Well, beautiful, maybe you and me could go back to my secret lair and we can figure something out there."  He would've gotten her number, taken her out on a short date and woken up next to her the morning after...but this was not two years ago.

Obi continued to smile as he said, "Just...just be the best person you can possibly be.  That..that would make my job a lot easier."  There was an awkard pause as the two of them stared at each other in silence, both of them were surprised by what the young hero had just replied.

"Well...okay, then...I'll make sure that I'm the person I can possibly be....thanks, again, Obi."
The woman rolled her eyes in frustration as she turned to walk away.  She quickly stopped as she opened her purse, pulled out a strip of paper and scribbled her phone number on it, figuring she'd give it another shot.   "Obi, wait."  She turned rapidly but saw no one there anymore.  The woman furrowed her brow and looked up.  There was no sign of her hero anywhere.

High above the alleyways and streets, the heroic Jedi was now on his way.  To many people, one good deed a day was all they needed to feel like they had made a difference, but Obi had a heroic heart that just wouldn't stop.  He was off to find more trouble, off to find more people to help.  As he jumped from rooftop to rooftop the intergalactic knight felt something that made him stop dead in his tracks.  Fear.  Not the normal kind of fear from when a old lady gets mugged or when a kid is getting bullied.  It was intense fear, a true, unmistakeable fear of death.  Obi was compelled to that feeling and reaching down to his belt, the Jedi pushed a button and turned on a blinking red light.  In a matter of seconds, Obi's heavily modified swoop bike came into view.  The hero jumped from the roof and onto the bike, he revved it up and raced towards in the direction of that feeling he was sensing.

In mere minutes, Obi arrived at a large parking complex, fast, but not fast enough.  The relationship between life and death was sometihng that fascinated the young hero.  So starkly different but juxtaposed in such an incredible way.  One second: that was all that was needed to cross the vast gulf between life and death, and now that Obi was unable to sense the fear that just moments ago had almost overwhelmed him, he wondered if he was just one second too late.  Obi ran all around the parking complex searching for any sign of a victim.  Instead he found pure destruction.  Cars were thrown around as like toys at a daycare.  Patches of concrete were blackened as if they been burned by an intense flame.  Whatever had happened here, it was in no way normal.  Approaching the parking complex's entrance, Obi finally saw something.  A young man's body, laid out on the hard floor.  Without thinking twice, the Jedi frantically ran towards the boy.  When he reached him, the Jedi got to his knees and felt the boy's pulse.  "Still alive," Obi whispered in relief.  All around the young man's body there were signs of struggle; scrapes, cuts, bruises, and fresh blood.  Kenobi looked around at his surroundings, whoever did this couldn't have gotten too far.  He stood up, reached towards his belt with both hands, unclipped his weapons and ignited his lightsabers.  The intense blue and green light emanating from them was a beacon of heroism.  The Jedi stood in defensive position just a few inches in front of the boy, waiting for whatever trouble was sure to come.

Targeting what was his current prey the assassin of the wolves had gone for a stealth attack seeking to put an end to the life of the young mutant. However, it did not go as planned for. The target had created an energy force field out of his own psionic energy. Which fought off the blade, still it did not change the fact that the boy was not accustomed to these abilities. A blinding explosion which for a second appeared been bright enough to absorb the killer’s image placed a period on to the second round.
The sword of the assassin soar through the air and finally reached a stop incrusting itself onto the concrete. The helmet visor had been damaged. The shards had busted open the brow of the swordsman. Resting within a pile of rubble, Lone finally realized he had once again been dropped on his rear by the power of a mutant whose powers were yet to be developed. “I must… finish this..” He was barely able to say.

His vision was blurry, his armor was missing chunks from it’s original design, and his bow, damaged. Barely able to see through the smoke screen that the reaction had caused, Lone was able to make out the young man’s figure within the smoke. It appeared as if his will to live was just too great to ignored to the point that he was pretty much dragging his own soul trying to escape. “Oh, no.. No you wont..”

The assassin reached for his visor and broke what was left of it to avoid any more shards from further damaging his face. The knight then made an effort and got himself out of the rubble. Finally on his feet Lone then reached to his scanner only to realized it’s targeting feature had been damaged. “Crap.. How am I going to find him now?” He wondered as he walked over to his sword and picked it up. The smoke had eased and allowed him to look over to where the two had last collided. He notice blood on the ground. “Yeah, he’s weak and probably disorientated.. He couldn’t have gone too far.”

Fallowing the trail and the young man’s scents the assassin reached the upper view of the young man’s current concrete bedding. “I tried making it easy for this kid but just like the rest of them they just had to make waves… In this case literally..”  The assassin, with sword in hand, he then climbed on the ledge preparing his descend to assure the target had been neutralize. However, it appeared as destiny was siding against the assassin this day. He watched as a newcomer arrived to the scene. Lone hid himself behind a column and watched the newcomer check the boy’s pulse. "Still alive," It had just been a whisper but the assassin’s hearing senses were able to pick-up the boy’s status. “This guy is wearing a costume.. Must be one of those locals playing heroes.”  Analyzed the assassin before watching the man browse the area before he armed himself with a exceptional weapon. A look of surprised came to the assassin as he knew a weapon like the one holding the newcomer was all but ordinary. “A laser sword.. Just like Elian’s swords.“ Assumed Lone thinking the sword was a different version used by his familiar. But further studying made him doubt his assumption. “Although, I see no wires connecting to the hilt.. Hum.. Must be a different technology, could it be that different?”  He wondered. Lone knew in order to get to the boy he would have to go through this newcomer “ Hum, Im pretty banged up from my encounter with the whelp...” Realized Lone. that was not an excuse in this business, but maybe a different approach may make that job easier.

Reaching his decision Lone then leap off the ledge and without much sound he entered the crime scene he had created. The god-sword Sorrow was still held by the underworld knight as he addressed the newcomer hoping to reach the man's senses. “This is the way it will be, hero…” He stated “The world that you and those alike you are protecting… Is nothing but a lie.. You see that boy right there?” He pointed towards Muse. “He is new to his abilities, yet he was able to keep me at bay long enough for someone like me to be spotted on the job. If you knew who I was you would realize how big of a deal that is.” Bragged the death agent referring to his past as a world renown red and black mercenary. “Now, imagine what he could do with practice. Look around you and witness what he has done been an amateur. Now imagine if he was able to fully master his abilities. How long does it take? Two three years top? He would be unstoppable!”  The death agent then drove the tip of his sword against the concrete carving the word [Balance] on it‘s surface. “This is why I‘m here.” he said referring to the word he had just carved on the concrete. “Now that you know my true purpose which not many are aware of I will only make this offer to you once.. Move aside, walk away.. Let me save you the regret of saving the life of a possible future omega level threat.” Lone then stood silent waiting on the newcomer's reply.

The Jedi waited in defensive position for someone to come and sure enough, the assailant swooped down from the roof and onto the ground a few feet away from the hero and the young boy he was defending.  The man held an elegant sword in his hand and seemed to have taken quite a bit of punishment already.  Kenobi could see into the man's eyes through his broken visor.  They seemed to be wracked  with uncertainty.  He probably thought that this job was going to be nothing but a quick hit and payday; an easy 1, 2, 3.  He hadn't expected the boy to fight back, and he sure as hell never expected another superhero to show up.  However, any uncertainty the man's eyes conveyed was not audible as he spoke strongly and in a threatening tone.

“This is the way it will be, hero.  The world that you and those alike you are protecting is nothing but a lie.  You see that boy right there? He is new to his abilities, yet he was able to keep me at bay long enough for someone like me to be spotted on the job. If you knew who I was you would realize how big of a deal that is.

Obi couldn't help but laugh at the man's brashnessHe was going to enjoy kicking this guy's ass if the need arose.

“Now, imagine what he could do with practice. Look around you and witness what he has done being an amateur. Now imagine if he was able to fully master his abilities. How long does it take? Two three years top? He would be unstoppable!”

Obi then saw as the man stuck his sword into the ground, carving a word into it.  He glanced down to look at the fresh carving"Balance..."

"This is why I‘m here.  Now that you know my true purpose which not many are aware of I will only make this offer to you once.. Move aside,
walk away.. Let me save you the regret of saving the life of a possible future omega level threat.”

Looking back at the mercenary he noticed something.  The armor, the helmet, it was all so familiar.  Obi Wan Kenobi searched the archives of his mind, searching the vast database for any clue of who this man could be. BINGO! Obi was a bit taken aback when he remembered where he had seen this man before.  "You're a Wolf...One of Hunter's...I saw you with him at the Money in the Bank event in Vine City."  Obi laughed in disbeliefThe Wolf Pack had always been a shady group that used less than savory tactics to get the job done, but from his hours of research into the ever-elusive group, he had surmised that they, along with their leader, were inherently good.  "Last time I checked the Wolf Pack wasn't in the business of murdering kids.  Does Hunter even know you're here?" The Defender of Los Angeles scanned the visible parts of the attacker's face, searching for a reaction and further insight into who exactly this man was working for.

Establishing eye contact once more with the mercenary,  the Last Jedi's voice became much more serious and commanding. "You speak as if this boy's already done something wrong.  From what I can see, the only thing this kid has done wrong is being born with this gift....well that and he totaled a couple cars, but that was clearly in self-defense from your murderous, psychotic ass."

The intergalactic knight took a quick look at the mayhem in the parking lot.  "Now, I agree that this gift can one day prove very dangerous, but as of this moment, this young man is innocent.  There's other ways to ensure the continued safety of humanity, and killing kids that might one day become our future superheroes isn't one of them."

Obi's eyes narrowed as he tried to pierce this man's conscience with his glare, hoping to illustrate just how serious he was about defending the young boy who now lay unconscious at his feet.  "You want me to move aside?....to...walk away?"  The Jedi took another step forward, gaining ground like a mother bear defending its cub.  "How 'bout no, wolf?  In fact...how 'bout you take that little sword of yours, shine it up real nice, turn it up sideways, and stick it straight up your candy ass!  ..And then...and then, wait I'm not done, GET THE F*CK OUT OF MY CITY!"  The now visibly angered, but still fully in control Jedi smiled at the man, expecting him to see him turn and walk away. Nevertheless, the intergalactic knight still gripped his ignited sabers strongly and braced himself.  If, by some off chance this assassin proved dumber than he looked (which was already pretty dumb, by the way), Obi would not think twice about using lethal force to dispatch him.

The offer Lone had placed on the table had expectedly been turned down by the LA guardian. Furthermore Lone couldn’t help but notice the fact that the man had identified him. The swordsman had attended an earlier event the leader of Wolf Pack had dragged him into as a “moral support“.  Lone was still processing the decision of the emitter who used words like “innocent” in reference to the young man; a young man who may wield the power to level buildings in a sneeze. “That’s unfortunate, but also expected.” Said Lone. “What I do isn’t personal.. I bet you know the line, it’s pure business. Just like my affiliation with Hunter and his pack. Just like the other organization paying me to be their ambulant deadly will. Don’t waste your time linking this to the wolves.. I work for several organizations; Heck I’ve even worked for NATO in the past, yes, NATO, Oooh, aren’t they suppose to be the good guys? Think again, they are as dirty as the villains.”

Lone then fell into battle position holding his sword. Legs slightly separated, elbows bent, hands holding the hilt near his face and tip of the blade aiming at the Jedi. “The world, just like this city that you claim to be your own, are nothing more than my little personal playground.. And right now you are in middle of my play timeWithout further ado the assassin holding the cursed blade Sorrow at hand sprinted towards his target while baking his battle cry at full capacity of his lungs.“Shine!” However, because of the fact the opponent was holding an energy weapon, Lone knew clashing blades to get close and attack was not a smart option. Reaching near the Jedi’s line of reach the assassin played a feinting card. He swung his sword as if he was coming in for the kill hoping to fool the opponent into thinking he was going for the attack. Instead of actually attacking he suddenly disappeared into the nothingness. A feature in his wrist device which was unexpected to all enemies, his teleportation device had activated at will. In a split-second the assassin had shifted locations from the line of sight of the jedi to the blind side of all humans beings, his back. The sword, which can cut 5 inches further than it’s actual tip, was coming down from above creating a crescent moon shape slash meant to terminate the Jedi knight.

" I know you're a merc.  I know you follow the orders of whoever pays you.  But you're seriously gonna tell me that you don't see anything wrong with this?" Obi motions to the young man laid out on the pavement; bruises, scratches, and blood all over him, before returning his gaze to the assassin's face.  "You don't see aaaanything wrong with this at all, merc?  I'm sure you've done a whole lot of good in your life, but I'm also sure you've done and will continue to do a whole lot of bad as well.  You speak of this boy as if he's some kind of killing machine but how many people have you killed to his whopping zero? How many good, innocent people have you killed just for the paycheck?  Maybe someone should take care of the threat that is you."

As the dangerous assasin got in attack postition, Obi gripped his lightsabers tighter, readying his defense and already subconsciously formulating possible counterattacks.  The assailant lunged at Obi yelling some kind of weird catchphrase.  His impressive blade swung towards the Jedi and Obi quickly moved his lightsabers in an X postilion to try to stop and protect against the blade's deadly intentions.  However as Kenobi braced for the impact of the assailant's blade, the assailant instead vanished into thin air. "Sh!t!" Obi said frustrated, as he quickly set up a force-field around him and the boy he was defending, in anticipation of an an attack from another angle.  As expected, another attack came quickly, and it came from behind him.  As he felt the mercenary's blade making contact with the force-field, he tried to use Force Repulse to send a wave of telekinetic energy away from the force field.  This wave of energy would project itself outward from the force-field and repel anything at distance of 15 feet from the Jedi.  Obi hoped that this attack would knock the mercenary out from sheer concussive force.

With the worst headache Joel ever had, he felt the warm pavement below rumble him awake.  He remembered the deadly situation; an assassin attempted to kill him. Joel's brown eyes snapped open and he saw the summer clouds. "I'm alive", he thought catching his breath. His knee bent and as he pushed off the ground with his palms, but the pain of his head kept him glued to the ground. Dirt and sand stuck to sweaty and bloody skin; Joel was ready to die. The assassin would stand over him with his sword pointed to kill any second now.  " You speak of this boy as if he's some kind of killing machine but how many people have you killed to his whopping zero? How many good, innocent people have you killed just for the paycheck?  Maybe someone should take care of the threat that is you.", a persistent man argued with the killer.  Joel realized this man was the reason he still lived; he wasn't letting it go to waste.

Joel grunted through the pain in his head and sat up. The assassin and his guardian, who now wielded a light saber battled each other. Joel grinned weakly and thought, "Star Wars is real!?" As he slid his towards the street, he spat out blood to breathe easier. His hope revived when he heard the familiar emergency sirens blaring nearby. Joel smiled;  the 9-1-1 call helped more than he knew, they must have traced the call. Looking up, Joel remembered the sun barely showed when he fell unconscious. Now the stars and the moon were out.  It made him wonder how long the two men in front of him been fighting.

Suddenly a force field surrounded Joel and his protector. Attempting to call to him, Joel coughed. After clearing his throat he yelled, "The ambulance is coming!" The ambulance sped towards the parking garage like they were waiting for Joel's cue. The ground rumbled again and an energy pulse radiated around them. The ambulance truck was thrown off the street and sent sliding into the Bayshore Condos across the street. Joel's hope sank with the vigor in his face. His energy seemed to drain and he rested his head back on the concrete, frowning at the toppled ambulance truck. Joel still believed it was destiny for him survive.
