Sole Agenda
In 1985 a suspicious geneticist by the name of Mathis Pierce discovered a certain unity between factual science and the intangibility of spiritual mysticism. His efforts to reveal this viable connection would prove certain Biblical events to be truth (i.e. Moses parting the seas). However, the young European native needed proper backing. And so a small conglomerate by the name of Humanity Now stepped into the young visionary's life, offering him and his family an opportunity at forging the future of humanity itself whilst attaining the fruitful gifts American culture had to offer.
In due time Mathis would prove most useful by conducting a experiment that encoded an enchanted artifact into the genetic sequence of his only daughter, Clarice Michelle Pierce. This incident would result in a psychiatric break in which the young girl would go on to murder her father and run away from the institute with her twin brother, Eden.
It's been 19 years since the incident first took place. The last known whereabouts of Eden Pierce leave the young man within the state of Arizona, but recent laws ostracizing a certain minority may have encouraged him to move locations yet again. As for Clarice, the girl has returned to the Institute in hopes of using her powers as of means of finishing what her deceased father could not do - forge a new future for humanity.
It's possible. Without a doubt. She has an unmatched power that involves the very manipulation of reality itself. In fact on multiple occasions she's convinced others of preferred pasts, but the Institute is immune; unable to fall victim to the politically powerful entrepreneur.
However, she is vain. A whiff of power will drive her mad. That's why we've chosen you - Mister Addams. You seem to be the one man she's rewritten the most. An anomaly within this narrative and it would be with the utmost thanks from the Institute if you were to come under our wing and ensure her mental faculties are stable.
Yes, we're well aware of your grievances with Clarice but we promise a single year as her body guard will prove to be beneficial. In fact, we intend to fix whatever revisions Miss Pierce may have implemented into your mind and discover the truth about your identity. I know it's a tough cookie to swallow, but think about your future...the world's future.....it can all change with you at the forefront of it all.
Rules of Engagement
The point of writing is imagination. And this thread will demand such things. For every state in the United States there are three Humanity Now facilities; operating on a multitude of tangents. These tangents include the creation and eventual production of the mutant genome cure to a secretive effort to break a barrier to a blocked off reality named "Prime Earth." Therefore, anyone who enters this thread has many choices.
- Infiltrate a facility to gather intelligence.
- Create your own character or become an employee. Assist Clarice in taking over America.
- Enter combat or persuasion to get past Noah and converse with Clarice.
- Go insane and excuse Clarice for every little evil thing in the world.
- Facilities are your perception. They are what you wish. Offices are on top floors.
- You can expand the settings of this environment. (i.e. Finding Noah & Clarice in the midst of a mission).
- Do what you wish. Just know murder, thievery, and bodily harm will create issues IC.
- If you create your own projects as an employee the Institute will assist.
- There's been rumors that mutants are being kidnapped and being experimented on. It might be true.
I hope this actually goes somewhere. So, I'm back y'all. I'll be writing here and talking here if anyone will have me for company.
