From the atmosphere came a spark of light. This light transformed into a white blaze of flame. This flame took the form of a human body as it soared through the city streets. A quick dash to the right folled by a corkscrew spin through a rusted gate and the fiery figure gained flesh and bone. As the skin finished reatteaching and his clothes restored The Guard smiled studying his surroundings. His eyes held a vicious lust for battle, and as he activated his Mangekyou Sharingan the intensity spiked up, All the rest of his body was silhouetted by a large black robe with red clouds painted along it. James hair was laying carelessly across his head, short locks dangled in front of his face before he used his two finger to part them.

The rusty gate had now been reduced to ash. The ash itself, glowing gold, held some special property. Pulling a jar from a sack strapped to his outer thigh James grasped a sample of the ash in his hand and found it to be extremely cold. Quickly storing it in the jar he returned to his analysis. Standing in what looked like an abandoned work site James began setting thing up. Mines placed in key locations as well as aerial tripwire that sets off a variety of traps and attacks. His opponent, Hawk, hero turned rogue warrior, recently suffered a death in the family. James saw this as an opportunity to make an example out of one of the Legends, whose reign had been allowed for too long. With most lacking the ambition or raw intellect to step up to the plate of such a demanding challenge The Guard was alone in his efforts. Mistakes were not an option for the impassive villain.

To torment the hero he continually stalked him. Revealing his appearance subtlely allowed Hawk to be aware of The Guard's presence whilst keeping his identity veiled. The constant tailgating was an effort to take Hawk out of it mentally. Creating paranoia was only the beginning. The Guard continued to follow him, only this time he would create noise. This noise resembled the voice of the rogue's wife who was lost to him. The mind games he played were all carefully calculated steps that would hopefully result in the demise of the target. In the finale, The Guard invaded his home, placing a dead woman's body who held a distinct likeness to that of his wife. A note was pined to her naked, pale corpse.

"The following are coordinates to the location I will be at tommorrow evening. Are you brave enough to come face your nightmares?"

Peering up into the night sky the moon's bedazzling glaze bearing down upon the civilians of the City. The clouds were scarce and stars were plentifully. These small speckles of light came together to further illuminate the night. The wind blew strong and held a harsh cold bite as it grazed passed The Guard's exposed skin. The city was quiet, as if waiting for some uproar to awaken it. No one walked the streets this night. Not even the homeless were seen and if not for the street lights the city would seem dirty like a ghost town. The building themselves were on the verge of collapse and those who rest their heads inside such facilities were destined to be killed by their homes. The cars that lay along the curbs were riddled with rust and the paint jobs had all but washed away. The stench of factory smug filled the air and with every inhalation one feels as if they're smoking a cigarette. The plight the citizens faced was one of diesease and death. Had this been another time James would have used his weight to bring this city up to livable standards but at this time in place this city deserved nothing more than to be the battleground for the two men who would soon engage in a battle that would shake the very fabric of society.

James acute hearing sensed a change in the wind and as he began to feel all the beings that flew through the sky he spotted one in particular, heavier than a bird but lighter than a plane floating along the winds to the southeast. Hawk was approaching. With a smile The Guard checked his gear, pulling his Kusanagi from his sheath he glanced at its sharpness before concealing it. Brandishing two Desert Eagles he placed them behind his back allowing them to levitate as he stood hands at his side hidden within the wide sleeves of his robe.

"So glad you could make it, Hawk."

Several birds fluttered on a telephone line watching the mist of a man float in on a breeze of light. His cold heart fit the night, cold and dark. Hawk had been aware of him for a while now, a shadow here or a voice there. At first Hawk assumed it was Lord's Angel stalking him in the shadows of the night, waiting on a chance to bring death to life, but when the dead woman lay in his bed he knew that this was just another sick ghost of a man. Hawk was never more sensitive to death as he had been in the last couple of months, because she was gone. He could swear that he could hear her through out the course of the days, whispering to him. But for now, there was the one who had disrespected his house.

Earlier in the evening he stared at himself in her mirror in their bedroom. Everyday for 7 years she stood her, smoothed out her hair and asked him, "How do I look, love?" and every day he answered her the same way. "Beautiful and smart."  This was what he missed most, the little moments in the day. Now he stood in front of the mirror in his blue jeans with his white t-shirt clinging to his body. He slung on his swords between his shoulder blades and lifted his mace and bow. Walking out of his room he walked past a picture of her in her wedding dress hanging on the wall, giving his fingers a kiss he touched them to her lips. He planned on not returning, he planned on his death.

Now he walked up to a man who's very name was full of irony. Honor Guard, isn't that what they call the men who guard cementarys graves? Hawk saw no honor in this man, only disgust and vailness. He was a man full of trickery and deceit, and Hawk looked him square in the eyes. There was no fear in either man's eyes, and Hawk's were full of rage.

"So glad you could make it, Hawk"

A snarl came across his lip as the words came out of the man's lips. Hawk's game plan was flawless, just like every other fighter he faced he would test this man. Test number one: speed.

Hawk had heard of this man being fast, but he still was no were near the speed that he could summon. Slowly as the villain was speaking Hawk rose his wings above him. Then he was gone. The air thundered as he whipped through it. The air sucked out of the street as he came back, flying past the speed of sound, he couldn't hear as the air past by his ears. His target was in sight and was on him in milaseconds. Blades were drawn and sliced through the air, invisible because of their great speed. The strike was swift and decisive, Hawk had no time to examine his blade for blood as he landed a hundred feet away, his feet dug into the concret as he turned back to HG. Hawk's blades stuck into the ground as he turned and pulled his bow. Three arrows filled the air heading just above their target, the first exploded a mist into the air while the second and third lit into a flame. Fire filled the air like rain, on a cloudy day.

Hawk pulled his wings into a defensive stance and waited to see how HG passed the first test.

The Hawk walked towards The Guard with unbridled malice and rage a vicious snarl ran acroos his lips. The Guard smirked and his foe seemed eager to start battle. His Sharingan caught everything, from the slow rise of his wings to the quick ascension to the skies. He could hear the booms as his foe broke the sound barrier with his speeds and then all was quiet. The Hawk then descended like a pelican on a worm, swords drawn he  was at the Guard's chest in an instant. The blades slashed through James left ventricle and the air was knocked out of him. He inhaled deeply smiling as the Hawk landed a distance behind him. Blood poured from him slowly, staining his robes as well as the ground. Blood dripped from his lips and breathing became impossible. Despite death's embrace James still stood, unmoving. Meanwhile a mist had filled the air around him, from the smell of it James surmised that it was flammable. Suddenly the mist combusted and fire imprisoned the Guard. He began cackling loudly. He knew his opponent was capable of more but decided to simply test him. James has imployed similar tactics in the past for the sake of education but there was no place for testing in this bout.

Turning to face Hawk the war torn Honor Guard continued to smirk. Hawk took a defensive stance, his sword plunged into the ground beside him whilst his bow rested upon his back. Then suddenly, The Guard dropped to the ground, defeated. Hawk seemed content with this and may have left had the settings not altered itself. The dead body of James Wilson had been replaced with a fresh one, untouched and without the scars of battle. "I see you know nothing of Sharingan Hawk. From the moment our eyes met you were placed under the control of my genjutsu." No longer was Hawk's sword stuck in the ground, nor had he ever drawn it. James used his Sharingan to place Hawk under an illusion allowing him to see only what The Guard concocted.

"Believe me i don't intend to play such games all night, but once the opportunity presented itself I jumped." James could see the rage inside the Hawk growing which could obstruct his sense of reasoning. Eyeing the suroundings he spotted a long iron bar tethered too a thick piece of rope that dangled above his foe. "Well without further ado..."  With lightning quick movements The Guard grasped his desert eagles that stood afloat behind him and let off a shot at the rope. The Bullet cut right through it and the bar came speeding down towards the ground where hawk stood.  Beside James was a canister filled with gasoline and as the bar fell he kicked the canister into the air and let loose another shot. The explosion was large and concealed his movement as James disappeared into the air and sought recluse deeper in the construction site. Bypassing his first trap he laid in wait, watching Hawk hoping to catch him off guard. Holstering his desert eagle he drew his Kusanagi holding it in reverse. tHe adamantium blade glowed under the moonlight as he infused it with electrical energy. The sword's white glow was complimented by the blue surge that wrapped around it.

His mind cleared and the blood of blood that was once washing over the feet of Honor Guard was now gone. His swords remained and his wings were still by his side. "I see you know nothing of Sharingan Hawk. From the moment our eyes met you were placed under the control of my genjutsu." Mind games, there was nothing he hated more than mind games. Hawk was a warrior, he wished to bleed red and fight till exhustion took over and he could now long grip his sword. Mind games were a slap in his face.

"Believe me i don't intend to play such games all night, but once the opportunity presented itself I jumped."  He looked the man up and down and heard the birds fluttering in the background. He saw through their eyes every bit of the area he saw the weapons behind the mind magicians back and he waited for the attack to come. The guns moved faster than Hawk thought they would and he was impressed with the accuracy of the shot. Shooting a dangling rope takes very good aim. The bar came falling down from above him and Hawk grabbed it before it hit him. Spinning with the bar in hand a explosion came right at him in a ball of fire. He rose his wing quickly to cover himself, but his left leg was left exposed.

The smell of burning flesh filled the air as Hawk lowered his wing. Honor Guard had vanished into the constrution site full of traps and pitfalls. Hawk limped towards the construction site slowly and his eyes turned white as he reached his mind out. His eyes were no longer his own, but they were the birds. They flapped and flew around the site cooing and flutter as they went. Hawk saw him from high and low, his blade pulled and glowing with power. Hawk flew high above the scene spying on his opponent from just a few feet away.

Test number 2 he thought to himself as he moved over to a large pallet of cement bags and lifted it back into the air. Rising above the work area Hawk looked down onto the steel beams and metal scaffling. Hawk took another look at his opponent through the birds eyes and dropped the 50 or so bags of cement onto the area. As they hit they dented and exploded with a great amount of force.

Hawk dove down into the cloud of dust and metal moving with air cracking speed. Pulling his mace he struck the ground in the center of the work area with a thunder crack. The force of the blow was a concusion force that knocked over a bulldozer near by. The metal beams were bent backwards and twisted and a crater was all that was left of were honor guard was standing. Hawk's eyes were back to normal as the bird's barely escaped his blow.

He sniffed the now clear air and thought he smelled the hot pin of cooper, blood. His eyes grew dim as he looked and waited for the man who Hawk knew was not finished yet.

Laying in wait within the construction site Honor calculated the odds of him being defeated. Though slim he found any margin of error on his part would result in death. His foe, with aerial prowess, gained a great advantage over him. If Honor didn't devise a way to overcome it, that would prove the deciding factor. Lost in his thought he was oblivious to the gathering of birds above him. As they began cooing he instantly took note of them and realized they'd given away his position. In an attempt to remain hiddine he launched a flurry of projectiles. Each hit the mark and the small animals fell to the ground in a heap of blood. The guard then began to sense a heavy change in the air flow. Looking up he spied his foe barring down upon him, a few feet away in the sky.

It was too late. His position had been discovered and there was no doubt that Hawk was on the move, ready to strike out. This time it was no illusion. Any advances Hawk made were real and any damage dealt to either man would tip the odds against whoever suffered from injury. Studying his opponent The Guard found severe burns on Hawks left leg. This was a point of exploitation. That wound would make him slower on the ground. First James would have to force him into a situation where he could make no use of flight. Realizing it was dangerous to stand in the same position with his foe aware of him he dashed away. In that same moment a large bag of cement crashed into the ground. More bags dropped and  with a display of gymnastics he dodged them.

The impact created a large dust cloud that would be impossible for the human eye to penetrate. Using his Sharingan he spotted Hawk navigating through the dust cloud Mace in hand. His sword drawn he readied himself for combat. Suddenly a shockwave echoed through the ground and the air, sending James flying into a stack of steel pipes. Contorting his body he avoided optimal injury as he landed on the otherside of the pile. The pipes rolled off and a thundering crash was heard in the distance.

Rising from the ground his entire body ached with every movement. The Guard had dealt with such pains before and with a violent shake he was able to momentarily shrug off the pain. Spotting another set of birds he took them out of the sky with his kunai. His strategy in mind he begant to set up the steel pipes in distinct locations all around the immediate area of him and Hawk. The stage set he unleashed another kunai, this one rebounded off of the wall and into a feeder box. The electrcity shot out from the feeder box like fire from the pit of a dragon's stomach. Using the steel pipes in the area a field of electricity was created around the two. The setup was perfect. There was enough space to do battle, yet the sky was barred away by the electrical surges that passed across the field of pipes. The pipes would continue to conduct the electricity, unless the entire cities power grid was destroyed.

"Now these odds, I like."

Honor Guard minimized the space between him and Hawk in a second unleashing a devastating slash aimed at Hawk's chest. Sidestepping to his left James shot of a powerful otic blast aimed at his wounded leg, trying to bash it into the ground.
