Due to a user who has been excessively spamming news articles and videos with an advertisement and coming back as a new user sometimes several times a day to do so (even after IP bans), the staff of Comic Vine have instated a post limit on new accounts (and as it appears, old ones as well). There is a post limit of five posts per day until your account has over fifteen posts.
Heads Up for RPGers: New Post Limit
Considering how persistent this user has been, it is no wonder that Comic-Vine is doing this. I just hope it is temporary though.
Now i know what this one new viner asked me about, like i seriously had no clue what the hell she was talking about, now i do :P lol
When I just started reading this, I thought there was a pre-determined number of posts and once you reach that, you're account is terminated. Phew. Yeah, spammers, trolls and other internet d-bags should be smitten from the face of the earth.... or... the internet. Whatever. Anyway, I applaud the CV staff for taking this measure to block these guys out.
" @The Dark Huntress said:If you go on Marvel.com, same thing is happening over there as well....whatever this guy wants to sell, he's not letting anyone stop him xD" He's done it over thirty times. "LMFAO talk about being hardcore "
" @War Killer: lol BY MY SHOES!!!!! "O_O ....And jackets, jeans, and some random hair thingy that only women understand how to use!!! xD
I was just thinking that maybe we should spam him saying we want to buy whatever he's selling and see how he likes it, lol
It's wierd.... I didn't have any problems at all when I made this account, and I haven't seen a single one of this guy's adds either for that matter =/
" This is still in effect? "Yep my Alt just got past the 5 post limit a few days ago
Luv CV, luv what they do, hate this f'n post limit. I'd rather have to run around and catch spammers then post five times a day until reaching 15 plus posts.
I was wondering about that. I've made a lot of new alts over the past couple of days and i was kinda shocked at first. but 3 days to wait for unlimitted posting rights is nothing. freaking spammers....
What, what, what is this?" @Gambler: There's a way around it. If you want it PM me."
